Dream Star 752 I Love You

The hospital Haruka brought her to was a fairly large private one. It surprised her how easily she got an appointment and also how she did not have to line up. Other people were there before her and yet the moment they arrived at the reception, they were told to go right inside.

Lila wanted to check for the longest time. But she was afraid that she would get disappointed. She knew how much Haruka wanted a family. She did not expect anything at all. So when the doctors told her congratulations. Her eyes widened, eh? R--really? She is pregnant? Her gaze fell on her stomach. She did not see any difference in her weight but then again she is a hanyou. 

It was supposedly the same for her mother. 

Haruka silently lead her down the hallway. "I was right huh?"

Why does he look so sad? 

"Haru--"

"Lila, I need to hide you somewhere."

Hide her somewhere?

"Dont go back to j.a.pan."

Why is he saying s-- Lila paused. So that is why he wanted her to get a check up. She is a bit disappointed but her gaze fell on her stomach, she feels happy. "I will listen to you." Lila said as she grabbed hold of his hands. "But just let me know first, are you happy?"

"I am." Haruka brushed his lips against hers. "So happy, but I am worried."

"I understand."

....

Lila took a deep breath and took her phone out. She ought to tell mother first or anyone at home. She carefully dialed the number.

To her surprise one of the servants answered. It was mothers a.s.sistant.

"Um, are my parents there?"

"Miss Lila, your mother is…"

Her eyes widened when she heard the details. 

Your mother went to obtain something that would stop this situation. But unfortunately the place caved in. Your mother and her companions were injured heavily.

Injured heavily? Her mother..

"Miss Lila?"

"Could you please pa.s.s the phone to.."

Her sentence fell short when she heard a ratling sound. Soon she heard a familiar voice. "Hey, you okay?"

"Father…"

"Your voice sounds weird, what is wrong?"

"Um mother.."

"Dont worry, I will take care of her."

Father sounds confident but how come the maid was very worried? She wants to ask how bad mothers injuries are. But would she even get a reply? The answer is no and she understood that better than anyone.

"Um actually father, Im…"

"--pregnant?"

At that comment her eyes widened and she heard a sigh on the other line. 

"Well, I figured as much."

Lila blinked when she listened to those words. He figured as much? This was not the reaction she expected from him, considering how over-protective he usually is of her. Then again maybe it is because they are not close.

"Is he there? Let me talk to him."

"Um, Haruka went to speak to the doctor."

Should I tell him what Haruka said about hiding her away?

Something tells me I shouldn't.

"Do you know how old your mother was when she had Huan?"

Ah.. "High school third year?"

"Mmm." Yuhi nodded. "We found out during her birthday and we rushed her to the hospital on that very night. You have no idea how nerve wracking that was for me."

"Even though you weren't the father?"

"Yeah, I was still a nervous wreck. She really surprised everyone that time, she burst out into laughter instead of crying."

At that comment her eyes widened. It is strange hearing father talk this much, the story itself did not surprise her. She figured out a long time ago that her mother was a weird one.

"But we were happy Lila."

"Happy?"

"Yes. I know many people would say things about getting pregnant in high school. Believe me so many people insulted her, especially since it wasn't my child. But surprisingly it did not matter to either of us. No matter how malicious those rumors were, it never bothered us."

"I envy you father, you truly treasure mother. But me? I always let rumors get to me and Haruka does too."

"That kid treasures you."

"Eh?"

"More than I treasure your mother. You know Lila, the only reason why your mother and I have what people call perfect harmony is because we have the same interests and viewpoints. But that kid and you are different. You two fight and argue about even the smallest things." Yuhi laughed. "A relations.h.i.+p where you could pick out the faults of the other person may not be a bad thing."

"Father.."

"Let me send you something."

Hearing the beep sound, Lila slid her phone to the next screen. The message her father sent was a series of videos of her and some photos. This..

"Did Haruka.."

"Yes. I told him there was no need to but he still went ahead and did it."

I wont betray your parents trust. 

Harukas words echoed in her head. He-- he really meant it. Since when? Since when did Haruka change? He was not like this when they met again or when they first started dating. When they were in London? No… could it be when they came to Star Town? Several months have pa.s.sed since then, so it should not be unusual that things changed but.. 

...even then it is surprising.

"That kid, I think I can trust him with you now. I had my doubts for a long time but everything has changed now. Did you know since you came to Star Town, he visited us everyday?"

He did that? So that's where he was. He wasn't flirting around with his other women. What other women, she was the one who started all that.

Lila immediately ended the call and searched for Haruka. The moment she saw him, she flung her arms around him.

"What's wrong wife?" Haruka asked concerned. "Are you okay? Do you feel sick? Maybe I should call the doctor."

She shook her head. "I love you."

His gaze softened and he pats her back. "Yeah, I love you Lila. Thank you so much."

He doesn't get it. Of course he wouldn't. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned forward. But Haruka pulled her away.

"Okay wife, your sick."

Huh?

"Yeah, let me get the doctor."

Is this man crazy? Here she is trying to get intimate and he is pus.h.i.+ng her away. Lila cried more and Haruka placed her down on the bench.

"What's wrong wife? Why are you crying." He cupped her cheeks. "Don't cry."

"Hubby, don't you love me?"

"I love you."

"Then let me kiss you."

Haruka blinked and looked at her. "Is this why you cried. . "

She gave a small nod.

"Wife, your driving me crazy today. Let's go back okay?"

Lila tugged on his hands, indicating that she wanted it now. 

"Wife, let's leave the hospital first."
