Dream Star 754 Sudden Distress

To her surprise he only kissed her briefly before he returned to his work. Lila silently watched him for a bit before she broke the silence between them. For the past few minutes it looked like he was fiddling with something.

"Haruka, what are you making?"

"Accessories for your show."

Lila blinked when she heard this. 'I didn't know he could do things like this.' Then again, there are many things she doesn't know about him.

Things that Rikksan probably knows about him.

"What's wrong?" Haruka asked. "You feel sick?"

"A little."

He puts whatever he was fiddling with down. Lila glanced over and noticed it was a small b.u.t.terfly ring. Ah...

Haruka patted her back. "Is it your morning sickness?" He mumbled. "Wait until it subsides. I will make you some food."

"Hubby..say..."

'Does Rikksan know that Haruka can do this?'

How much does she know about this man that is her husband? Her thoughts broke off when he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. 

"My wife, please get better soon."

"I want to make out."

Haruka shook his head. "Not now."

"But I want.." She paused and wrapped her arms around his neck. Lila leaned forward until their lips brushed against one another. 

"Wife you know I'm excellent in the morning. But, I can't do anything when your feeling sick." He moved her hands away.

Her eyes widened. Lila didn't know why she felt so shocked when he did this. 

Before she knew it, she felt tears stream down from her eyes.

Haruka sweat fell and he reached over to wrap his arms around her. "Hey, why are you crying?"

"Don't push me away."

'Don't push me away.

Don't leave me.'

His gaze is gentle as he kissed her forehead, eyelids, nose before he pressed his lips against hers. "I wanted to hold back a bit, after what I did last night. Lila, you don't have to feel uneasy. Even if we don't do anything affectionate anymore. I won't leave you, I love you."

Such gentle words and his actions... "I know I am being silly."

Haruka shook his head. "No, I understand. It will take some time." He squeezed her hands. "If you really want to, okay. But if you feel bad, I will stop."

Contrary to his words, Haruka quickly undressed her. He ensured that she kept her undergarments on though, and even covered the lower half of her body with a blanket.

'I am not proud of it. But in the past seventeen years, before I met Haruka again. I was a naive girl. Acts of affection let alone s.e.x were foreign to me.'

When the time finally came for things to happen, Lila knew she would loose control due to her lack of experience. Her gaze fell on the man who 

was kissing different areas of her body.

"Does it feel that good Lila?"

"Stupid." Lila rolled her eyes. "Don't break the mood."

Haruka chuckled. "Sorry wife. I will be careful."

Two hours later

"Does your body hurt?"

Lila frantically shook her head and kept her head low. She didn't want to look him in the eyes at all.

She felt very nervous. 

Haruka bent down and kissed her. "Lila, relax a bit. Your too nervous."

Lila blushed. "You can't blame me can you? You..you idiot."

"Hey, you're the one who asked for it, right?"

T--that's right but still this is a bit too much. Haruka stopped walking and pilled her into his arms. "Ssh." He whispered. "Relax, okay?"

"I can't."

She can't look at him in the eye anymore.

"Lila." Haruka said gently. He kisses her lips again. "Should we continue?"

"Uh?"

"Well, the best way to get rid of your nerves is to get used to it."

She slumped her head in his chest. "I can't."

"Why not?"

"Haruka, I can't love you more than this, otherwise.."

'I will grow weaker.'

"Ssh." He whispered. "Leave it to me." Haruka scooped her up. "Huh, your getting lighter."

"Wh--where are we going?"

"Mmm, there's a hotel next door. I have a room there."

Lila hits his chest. "You have a room there?"

Why does he have a room in the hotel next door. She eyed him suspiciously. 

"Nagawsan booked it."

That makes her feel worse.

XX Hotel

Lila opened her eyes to vaguely see an outline that belonged to her husband. He was on the phone and discussing something in a hushed voice. She extended her hand out but it immediately fell. 'Tired and more exhausted than I thought.' While she understood the reason why, it still doesn't make the situation any better.

"I know. But I have to be here for Lila. If you don't agree to let her come along then let's forget it."

Who is he speaking to?

Haruka sighed. "Rikka doesn't need to have a partner. She can attend the gathering alone. More suitors would flock to her then, and we could get information..."

Ah..he must be speaking to Sano-san.

"Yeah, I understand. Then I will take to her later."

Haruka kissed her lips. "Hey."

"Um, good morning."

Haruka chuckled. "It's still night love." He caressed her cheeks. "But are you hungry?"

"Um, blood."

"Yeah."

She weakly wrapped her arms around his neck. "It's okay?"

Haruka nodded and patted her back. "Of course it is. You're my wife after all."

Lila paused when she heard those words from him. 'If I wasn't his wife would he still allow me?' Kasumi's words from before about Haruka's hanyou state echoed in her mind. She already knew about it before her friend told her.

"Hey Haruka." Lila backed away slightly. "I want to ask you, about Rikksan. You two..."

Haruka frowned. "What's wrong? Why are you asking me this again?" He cupped her cheeks. "Are you uneasy? Don't be my wife. You're the one I married."

'But marriage is fickle too. People get divorces for a reason, because they get tired of one another.' Lila didn't understand why she suddenly felt this way. Since they came to New York, didn't their relations.h.i.+p improve? 

Why is she suddenly feeling distressed?

"Lila, what's wrong? You look pale."

What if something like that happens again? Before they left j.a.pan, that sight. Every time she sees Rikksan, Lila couldn't help but recall it. It was so painful for her. So painful to the point that she couldn't breathe.
