Dream Star 756 What Can I Do?

Two hours later - Apartment - New York

The last thing Haruka expected Kiryu to do was knock Lila out. Or rather he didn't think Kiryu had it in him to hurt Lila in anyway. But according to him this was for her own good.

Haruka's gaze fell on the woman fast asleep in his arms. When he saw the beads of sweat on her face, he clung to her tightly. Why is she so uneasy and even getting nightmares about it? He doesn't like this at all.

His wife's strange behaviour puzzled him. But it seems like Kiryu understood what was going on. Haruka always envied Kiryu for that. That guy can understand Lila without her having to tell him anything. It frustrated him but maybe it is better this way. If he understood Lila like Kiryu did, then they would not be able to communicate verbally.

His thoughts broke off when he saw Lila stir uncomfortably. Is she having a nightmare? Haruka brought his lips to hers and gave her a gentle kiss. The moment his lips made contact, he felt her body relax.

After he finished kissing her, he noticed that she was looking at him with curious eyes. "Hey my wife."

Lila looked around the room and then back at him before she buried her face in his arms. "Not mad anymore?"

"Still mad." Lila mumbled. "Why would you get mad at me in public like that? Did you know that people from the set were staring?"

Actually he had no idea that was happening. But it wouldnt be a surprise if that were the case. Rikka had informed the others of his arrival but then he suddenly disappeared. It is normal for them to go look for him. At that time he did not think it through properly, but his actions would have clearly looked strange to others.

"Sorry." 

"I don't want people thinking we are on bad terms. They already want to split us up." Lila trailed off and sighed. "Honestly, this is why I try not to get mad at you. I don't want others thinking there is a problem."

Haruka cupped her cheeks and saw how frustrated she was. "My wife, I am very sorry. You can get angry at me if you want. Don't hold back."

"Then I will be honest with you. Can we deal with the ex girlfriend situation?"

Haruka blinked when he heard those words. That was the last thing he thought she would mention. Then again now that he thought it through, Lila was behaving this way before they left to go on j.a.pan. Ever since Rikka re-appeared in his life, Lila acts very strangely. Is she that uneasy?   

He does not understand why she is uneasy. He loves only her. "Okay wife, what should we do?"

"Not we, me."

"Huh?"

"I don't trust you with this anymore Haruka, so I will handle this myself."

Normally he would allow her to do that but Lila acts very weird when it comes to anything related to Rikka. She acts emotional and looses her calm. Haruka shook his head. "No."

"I don't care what you say."

Haruka placed some kisses down her neck. "You don't care?" He repeated.

"I...unngh.."

He slowly bit her skin and Lila lets out a cute moan. "You don't care about me?"

"Dummy I didn't say that, just unngh..quit it stupid. You know I like it." Lila mumbled.

Yeah he knows, he understands that very well. His wife has her strange habits too. Ever since they started dating, he taught her many things. Haruka slowly realized that the girl had her own desires and things she liked. For example whenever he kisses her neck like this, she would draw small circles in his chest.

"Wife." Haruka said softly. "I love you."

"S--stupid." Lila cursed.  She wrapped her arms around his neck and he chuckled. 

It seems like she still calms down if he does things like that. Her behaviour recently worries him. He does not know that side of Lila. Those cold words and dark gaze. Haruka pulled her down until she rested on the bed and he hovered on top of her. 

Haruka grazed his lips against her ear. "Is it fine?"

Lila nodded. "Mm."

His wife is too pretty, so beautiful. Every single part of her is beautiful. Haruka ran his hands through her clothes. Despite the material between his fingers, Lila kept reacting to his touches. "Hey wife, why are you upset these days?"

"I am uneasy."

"But why wife? I love you so much." He loves her so much and would do anything for her. Why would she think of such pointless things? Haruka did not understand her way of thinking at all.

But he needs to know, he can't let things continue this way. Haruka squeezes her hands. "Could you tell me? Please."

Lila is silent for a moment but she eventually spoke up.

"I know you love me Haruka." Lila nodded. "But, I don't have any confidence in myself.  When there are so many more prettier women in this world, why would you stay with me? There are many women out there, normal ones who can fulfill your needs. You don't need me."

"Lila, we spoke about this already. I don't need pretty women…"

Lila frantically shook her head. "I know you've told me, you said it so many times. We talked about this a lot before too, but even then I can't help but worry. I know this sounds very stupid hubby. But I can't help but get scared. I love you a lot and I have become so attached. If you were to leave me I would obviously try to s.n.a.t.c.h you back but unless you are willing to stay by my side. It will not do much good."

She sounds so frightened and she is trembling too. He has never seen Lila so scared and so vulnerable before. So this is the reason why Kiryu said to him that Lila would not leave him. The reason why Kiryu is backing away and respecting Lilas feelings despite everything. 

Kiryu noticed it, probably even before Lila did. 

Lila loves him so much. Haruka sat the girl up and hugged her tightly. "Ssh." He whispered. "Don't say anymore painful things."

It must hurt for her to say such things. 

"Haruka."

He needs to make things right. He can't allow his wife to continue this way. The main culprit for all of this isn't Rikka. Lila would not pay her that much attention if it weren't for Sophia. The one sending those messages to Lila is most likely that woman.  That was the reason why he got angry earlier, he knew it was Sophia.

'I did tell her to block Sophia's number, but Lila isn't the type of person to do that.' 

Lila isn't the type of person who would run away from her enemy. She is the type to confront them openly. That is one of the traits that he likes the most about her. 

This is troublesome. It seems he has to deal with the source directly. Should he go back to j.a.pan for awhile? But, his gaze fell on his wife who was trembling badly in his arms. Lila is so weak right now, and so fragile. If he were to leave and go back, she would most-likely come with him.

He could just take her along, but that is no longer an option. In j.a.pan, no in Star Town it is chaos right now. Lila is pregnant too, he cant risk it. 

"Wife, are you calm?"

Lila shook her head held onto him like her life depended on it. "My wife, it isnt good for the baby in your belly, if you get this stressed out." Haruka trailed off. "Tell me, what do you want me to do?"

"Please hold me."

Haruka bit his lip when he heard her request. Of course she won't make this easy for him. Haruka could never break his promise, even if Lilas parents didn't mean it that way. But if he ignores her, she will never calm down.

What is the best thing to do?

What can he do? He doesn't want her to be in pain anymore. 

'I like your singing.'

That's right.. The one thing he has no confidence in but she does. Haruka took a deep breath and started to sing one of the many songs he wrote for her.
