Dream Star 762 The Reason Why

New York- Hall - April XX 2036

"I didn't think that one day we would  star as the main characters together." 

She rolled her eyes at her husband's comment.

Then again with the way Haruka practically blackmailed the director…. Would this be considered unfair or not?

A light chuckle escaped her lips. "Already goal achieved. "

"Heh, then all that's left is to arrange that date."

At that comment her violet orbs brightened,  "Uwaa uwaa really?"

"Yeah we can go on your next day of."

"Hey you two. It's time to go on stage."

With a 'Yes' the two of them went on to the stage. The seats gradually became filled and the voices of the fans shouldn't surprise her anymore; and yet, somehow this sort of scenery is different now. She's been in plenty of drama introduction stages before and yet what is this feeling? Is it because Haruka is beside her?

After the introductions were done, the brunette turned to leave when she felt Haruka's warm lips on hers.

"Ah--um ?"

"I look forward to working with you. If this turns out to be successful, I'll give you more than a date."

If that dream has been realised.

Then she will start thinking of the next dream.

What will she be dreaming of next?

When she saw the group of people crowding around Haruka. Lila quietly slipped away. Haruka is very famous here abroad, while she is still unknown. It is frustrating at times but it makes sense.

Still, her gaze softened when she recalled how happy he was when they received the script in the morning. He even picked her up and cheerfully said. 'We will be the main leads in a play together, I'm so happy.'

Lila didn't think that something like that would make him happy. If Haruka wanted them to act together before, she could have arranged it easily.

Her thoughts broke off when she spotted somebody leaning against the door of her dressing room. Her sweat fell when she saw the face of Tok.u.mori Arata.

'He really came.'

"Isn't Star Town in lockdown? How come you can leave so easily?" Lila asked as she unlocked the door.

Arata followed her inside.

"I think you forgot something. I was in Korea doing business. So no I wasn't there."

"How am I supposed to know when you treat the airplane like a train?"

"You've been acting so chirper about it. But please remember that he is still the enemy.% Arata exclaimed. 

Lila is embarra.s.sed about the whole kiss on stage, seeing the picture she was somewhat happy about it.

"And really, what's Kiryu going to think after seeing that?"

At that she puts the newspaper in her hands down. "Kiryu will understand. "

"Yeah he will like always. But you should hide your ring for awhile." Arata commented.

Ring huh? Her gaze darted towards her hands; if she keeps on wearing this many won't she look like a gaudy woman? There's only three and yet she's starting to feel the burden on her shoulders. Perhaps she still doesn't understand it properly, the significance of items that bind people together. 

Should somebody who doesn't understand  posses something important? Maybe she should take it of, the brunette paused at one of the rings on her fingers. She still can't do it.

"I was wrong, you really do surprise me."

The violet haired leader looked up from taking out the brief case. "Oh, what was it I did that surprised you?"

"That your so considerate towards Kiryu." Lila teased.

Although they fight a lot, those arguments don't last long at all. Lila still wants to know why they were fighting in the first place. n.o.body would tell her. Maybe Haruka knows something?

"Huh?" he stops smoking. "Of course I'm more considerate than you."

"Eh, I was seriously worried about him too you know? I made him a lovely house wife bentos and meals at home."

Rather that was one of the first tasks she thinks of when she starts the days. Kiryu's meals. There was that time she didn't come fot awhile because she was spending time with Haruka.

When she visited his house it was a complete mess. Convenient store lunches were everywhere and it was clear that he skipped meals. "I am worried about Kiryu." Lila nodded. "But it's already okay like this."

It's fine this way.

"Kiryu intends to get you a ring too. Don't refuse it okay?"

Her gaze softened. "Your right. I don't really have any reason to refuse the ring. But I'll only wear it around my neck. I love Haruka and Kiryu understands that, however if I do this I'm sure he will understand how much I care for him also. Even bad habits would disappear."

"Oh about that. It should be alright, by then. Since Marijuanna is not really addictive like how cocaine and nicotine is. As long as he wants to he can get off it easily. But I don't think he will quit." Arata said, as he sat on the other couch.

"Is that so? If it's possible to quit, I'm sure Haruka would like it too. "

"Then why doesn't he?" Arata questioned.

Her eyes twitched in annoyance at this.

'You're the one who said that you've been supporting him.' 

Lila got up and made her way to the other couch. "But it is not easy to break a habit. Even you said that you would quit smoking for the sake of your kid, and in the end you couldn't do it either."

"It's because I've smoked so much that my body is used to it, so it isn't easy to quit.. If I knew when I was young, I wouldn't have started to smoke for the sake of being popular."

"But, emotional in balance is also a poison. You should do something to help him."

Doesn't Arata treat Haruka as a good friend now? He no longer goes against him.

"Don't speak too loudly! If they find out, the bands activities will have to be suspended. I will also be in trouble. Since he can't stop, there is nothing else to do but to make sure it doesn't get leaked out. Don't over exaggerate and make it a big deal."

"But it is a big deal! It's harmful." Lila bit her lip and sighed. "I thought he quit. But I saw it when we took a bath together yesterday. He keeps it in a container in the bathroom, I didn't notice it before." 

"Then get rid of it."

"He will just get more from somewhere.." Lila trailed off. "Where does he get it from? We are in New York now.. Does he get it from friends here? But, they haven't met in so long..

She recalled something from the other day and frowned. 'Could it be, he gets it from Rikksan?' It can't be, right? Would Rikksan be foolish enough to fuel his addiction? But then again they do say that women do crazy things for the ones they love.

Would Rikksan do that just so she could continue meeting Haruka? Indeed, with Haruka's behaviour and his promise with her. He would normally have no reason to meet with Rikka. 

'So this is the reason why Haruka keeps seeing her. To get the drugs..'
