Dream Star 772 Similiar To Hell

Lila slumped on the chair completely exhausted. Why on earth did things become this way? Her thoughts broke off when she felt somebody carry her. "Haruka?" 

"Hey, you okay?" Haruka asked.

She shook her head. "Kiryu?"

"I managed to stop him from getting arrested."

A relieved sigh escaped her lips. "Kiryu wouldn't do that for no reason. Something must have happened."

"Mmmm."

Lila quickly realized why he was so quiet and bit her lip. "How is she?"

Indeed why is she focusing on Kiryu when Rikksan got beat up badly? Haruka looked pained as he mumbled. 'Paralyzed.' At that comment, her eyes widened and she clenched her fist.

Kiryu only punched her a few times. But it seemed like it was enough to cause this much harm. 

"Let's go inside." Haruka slid the door open. He was still carrying her but he seemed slightly strange.

"Gahhhhhhh!"

"Rikka?"

"My hands...they….."

Haruka quickly put her down and rushed over to the bed. "Ssh, it's going to be fine. It's temporary paralysis, you'll feel movement once you get the surgery."

"Why? Why… Why did I have to…"

"Sash, it's fine."

Lila silently watched this from the corner of the room and sighed. Well, it's not like it can be helped this time. Rikksan doesn't have anybody but Haruka to rely on right now. It only makes sense for this to happen.

But, as she thought. 'I hate watching them interact with one another.' At the start it didn't matter to her that Haruka's ex girlfriend came. Even when she learned that Rikka was different, it didn't matter. It was only when she saw with her own eyes how Haruka treated another woman.

Lila shook her head. 'No negative thoughts.'

She immediately threw up the contents down the sink. 

"Lila?" Haruka said concern laced his tone. But she noticed that he was still by Rikksan's side.

"I'm okay."

He bit his lip and ran his hands through his hair. "Do you want to go see the doctor?"

She shook her head. "I will stay here." Who knows what would happen if she leaves the two alone? She can't risk it.

A few days later 

Lila patiently waited by the elevator door.

She did not bother with flowers knowing how superficial it would seem. It's not like Rikksan would appreciate it. In fact, she suspects that the reason why Kiryu behaved that way is… 'Rikksan provoked Kiryu.'

Kiryu is usually so calm. For him to get angry like that. 'It must be something to do with me again.'

The next few days were similar to h.e.l.l for her. She kept her eye on the media and all the press branches in New York. However, n.o.body reported the incident. When something would appear online, it would disappear before anybody could see it. 

Lila didn't know who was deleting everything. But she was very greatful. Haruka didn't tell her what happened to Kiryu. But a few days ago she received word from him.

From: Kiryu

I will see you soon.

Just give words and yet it rea.s.sured her. 

"The patient in 696, I'm so envious of her. Her boyfriend takes such good care of her."

"Sssh, don't you know the truth? He has a wife."

"How could that be? The two match so well."

Lila did not get a chance to hear the rest of the conversation since the elevator doors opened and she stepped inside.

The moment she arrived, somebody pulled her into a hug.

Haruka hugged her tightly. "Please don't get stressed, it isn't good for the baby."

"I'm not."

He pressed his lips against hers. "Your mad."

Lila looked down at the ground. "I'm not mad, just upset and uneasy. But I trust you Haruka."

Yes, despite the crazy thoughts in her head she trusts him. 'Trusting somebody more than myself is dangerous.' But, Lila looked at her husband. 'I trust him.'

She extended her hand out and wrapped her arms around his neck. Lila mumbled softly in his neck. "I think I missed you."

"You think?" Haruka chuckled. "Your actions speak louder than words…"

"Mmmm, hubby you taste good." Lila kept kissing, sucking on the soft flesh.

"My wife, don't do this here."

"Why?"

"Well…"

The doors slid open and in came the nurse and Rikksan on a wheelchair. The nurse spotted them immediately and she dropped the clipboard in her hands. "Uh, apologies for…"

Lila frowned. 'I don't like stopping even though I was the one who initiated this.'

Haruka wrapped his arms around her waist. Her eyes widened.

"Sorry about this. Is Rikka's test done?"

"Yes sir, we will get the results by later today."

"Alright. I will take over from here."

With those words said, Lila watched as the nurse left. Haruma gently placed her down. "Hold on, let me get Rikka to the bed."

Lila nodded and reluctantly let go of him. Haruka walked over to where Rikka was. He pushed the wheelchair to the bed and lifted her up.

Rikka looked away. "You can leave once you've put me down."

Haruka blinked and sighed. "You sure?"

"I want to sleep."

"Then okay. I will be back later. If you need anything press the b.u.t.ton. Your hands…"

"I can move them slightly now, thanks to rehab."

"Okay." 

'It doesn't seem like they got closer..' But, Lila recalled the words at the nurse station earlier. She wonders why people think of it that way. Isn't it possible for a girl to have male friends?

Haruka walked back over to her. "Should we go?"

"Mmm, let's go."

…

On their way out, they got a lot of stares. But Lila shrugged it off. She learned s long time ago that there was no use worrying about such things. People will think what they want. 'No matter how much you explain or clarify things, there will be those who don't believe.' Why does she have to continue putting in the effort to explain? It's not like she did anything wrong.

Rikksan's accident too. It wasn't initiated by her. Sure she may be involved indirectly but… Her thoughts broke off when she found Haruka looking at her.

"Did you cover everything?" Lila asked.

"Well, yeah." Haruka nodded.

"How come?"

Lila thought that Haruka would stay on Rikksan's side this time.

"I asked Rikka to tell me what happened. She seems to have some weird misunderstanding of you. She saw you talking to that guy she is sleeping around with."

Lila sighed. "She told you what I said?"

"She did. When I heard it, I wasn't surprised at all." He stopped walking and turned to her. "Let's cuddle."

Lila laughed softly. "Uh…" All the tension and seriousness seemed to vanish in an instance. "What are you thinking?"

"Well wife, I'll have you know I am holding a lot of things back recently."

"Holding back---?" Her sentence fell short when Haruka suddenly leaned forward. His face was inches away.

Her entire face reddened when he bent down to kiss her forehead and eyelids. "Holding back." Haruka repeated. "You know I have a lot of pent up feelings."

"Ah, you're just teasing me again. Bully."

Haruka's gaze is gentle as he kept kissing her. "I feel at ease when I'm with you."
