Dream Star 778 Special Connection

In the middle of the darkness she could see one person. A person covered in darkness but there's a beautiful light around her too. A woman with long brown hair and amethyst coloured eyes similar to her own. Her mother Teras.h.i.+ma Sumire. For a moment Lyn did not understand what was happening. Why on on earth is her mother here? The last thing she heard from father was mother was still in a mini-coma. Did she wake up? How long ago and why did n.o.body tell her?

The man growled. "Another one?"

In that split second the guys minions got up and tried to lunge at the girl from behind. But it was useless and within seconds they were all laying down on the cold ground. 

"If people like you come around and start beating our people up how do you expect us to show our faces around here?"

Well get stronger. Though she is one to talk. Mother came here to rescue her since she fell for such an obvious trap.

Lila watches as he walks over to the trays and pulls something out. A weapon...it's probably a sword again. But since it's her there's no need for warning. She couldn't believe that she was here anyway. 

If mother is here-- then maybe Haruka is? Surely he still isn't sleeping. He must have realized she was gone by now and is worried sick.

"A wooden sword?"

That sword, she could barely see it due to her loss of blood. But a marking...is that symbol...

"Your playtime is now over!" The man charged towards her mother. 

Quite some time has pa.s.sed since she last saw her mother fight, so Lila looked forward to it.

Her mother shows no fear despite  facing the Yakuza of all people. The Yakuza and yet she could tell that the girls expression is the same as usual. Lila could see how one sided the fight was getting too. She is only dodging and not attacking seriously. 

No, mother has always been that type. Not until she gets-- ah there it is. The older man had managed to cut the girls sleeve, tearing it until there was a fresh trail of red blood oozing down onto her pale skin.

A smirk appeared on mother's features. "Time to get serious."

Even from where they hanged her she could see. Lila felt her condition weaken, she barely felt anything in her legs and arms.The small amount of strength she had is gone completely. But that only made the darkness around her grow stronger. Maybe it's reacting to her mother, the queen of darkness.

The sword gets out of the guys grasp and Sumire picks it up and points it towards the cowering man.

 "You think if a girl like you comes and does this to a yakuza, you can get away so easily!?!?

You can still say that despite your position?

However, Lila knew she wouldn't do it. Mother will not kill a person ever again. Sure she is fighting and looks very angry right now. But mother no longer wants to live a life of bloodshed and pain.

"A girl? You kidnapped my daughter. I know I look young but at least address me properly." Mother makes way over and slices the rope with the sword, causing her to fall. Lila landed in her mothers arms. "Let's go back home Lilchan."

Lila coughs. "Mother...isn't this dangerous for you?"

"Nothing's impossible for me." Sumire said as she balanced her. As they were walking away though the  guy spoke up.

"We're the Yakuza...,we put our lives on the line."

"Lilchan, just a sec."

Mother placed her on the ground and grabbed the sword again. "Don't think so lightly of us!" Sumire shouted and chucked the sword in the guys direction. ""We too... if we get serious enough we'll throw our lives away as well!!"

The sharp blade landed on the wall beside the elder guy but it brushed against his cheek leaving a deep bladed scar.

"Don't think this is over! We will hunt you down."

Lila didn't have to know what kind of expression the guy was pulling. These people are serious, they'll take steps to make sure that nothing happens....

"Teras.h.i.+ma Sumire."

"Wait did you just say...."

The bravado that guy had put on in seconds had immediately faded; his face colour growing paler and his face covered in sweat. Oh he's frightened, he doesn't know what to do. That's right, her mothers famous in this society too. In the past Lila heard stories about her mother going head to toe with the Yakuza and beating them. Mothers amazing...she's still so far away from her.

She's still so far away. But in contrast to how things were before, she's so much closer. She's much closer than before. Even though there's still a slight distance, even with a unbelievable gap. Lila wonders why she's still okay with it.

Lila is woken up to the chirping sounds of birds and rustling sound of leaves. Despite her dazed state, Lila could tell that they were in the forest. "M--mother?  " 

"Your awake? I'm sorry, were going to have to rest a bit. It won't surprise me if some stubborn ones tried to follow us. "

"Mother...my head hurts.." 

 "Your head? Stay still." A bright light appears on Mothers hand. Its a pretty shade of red.. Even though the colour red has always been a.s.sociated with things like destruction or blood. The red she can see now is so very pretty.

After a few minutes, the pain seemed to have vanished. She leaned against the tree, mentally fatigued.

"Lilchan, wait here for a second. Let me get your sister."

Huh?

Sumire looked away and sighed. "They kidnapped both you and Frey at the same time."

Her eyes widened alarmed at this, she felt her body grow cold. Those people dare kidnapped her sister? 

"No need." A familiar masculine voice said.

Lila turned to th source of the voice and found a man with long black hair holding a small girl in his arms. "Frey…"

"Lucifer." Sumire mumbled. "I thought you stopped following me."

"How careless of you to leave your daughter like that. Even if you put a barrier around her, this area is famous for wild pets."

"I know…"

Lila blinked when she saw how obedient her mother was acting. This must be the first time, seeing mother like this. Lucifer placed her sister in her arms and she looked at the man surprised. Now that she thought it through, this man also appeared before mother last year. Was he the reason why mother could come here?

"Sumire, you are too tired. I have a base nearby here…" Lucifer placed his hand on mother's shoulder.

Mother shook her head frantically. "No."

What a strange feeling, it feels like something like this has happened before. But more importantly, Lila looked at the girl in her arms. She pressed her lips against the young child's forehead. Thank goodness this little one is safe. If anything happened to her, Lila knew she would lose control of her hanyou side. 

Lila noticed it from the start. This girl and I share a special connection.
