Chapter 1376: Something Strange

The Primitive Mystic Realm did not disappoint Jiang Yi. If he had not entered this place, he would not have been able to imagine how it looked like.

Jiang Yi was now standing on a huge rock floating in mid-air. This was one complete rock that was pitch-black and as strong as metal; it was five-kilometers wide. At this moment, at least a thousand people were sitting cross-legged on this rock. They all wore the Demon-Killing Pavilion battle armor. It was obvious that no one outside the Demon-Killing Pavilion could enter this place.

Among the thousand-odd people, the weakest were actually Demon-Killing Battle Kings; there was not one Demon-Killing Battle General in sight. Furthermore, half of them were Demon-Killing Battle G.o.d formidable martial artists. Some of these people were sitting cross-legged and cultivating while some were looking dazed at the sky. Others were actually sprawling on the ground. Some others were even sleeping on the ground. However, not one of them made a single sound. It was frighteningly quiet.

The huge rock was suspended in a strange s.p.a.ce. The surroundings were rather bleak and dim. There was neither sun nor moon; only a dim and hazy spatial zone could be seen as it released feeble rays of light. The dim and hazy clouds actually seemed to be creeping slowly.

The heaven and earth spirit energy in this place was indeed frighteningly thick. Furthermore, there was a rather desolate and inexplicable special aura in this place. Jiang Yi stood on the rock and felt as if he was standing in the vast heaven and earth where he was but a small pebble or a grain of sand. He was that small and insignificant.

Above the vault of heaven, the dim and hazy clouds gave Jiang Yi a feeling that they were not actually clouds. They seemed to somehow contain the absolute laws of heaven and earth; one look at them made one’s heart palpitate. That feeling was extremely profound and made this world feel very vast. Jiang Yi felt as if he couldn’t even breathe in this place.

Swis.h.!.+ Swis.h.!.+ Swis.h.!.+

Some people looked over at Jiang Yi, and their expressions became strange. They then looked at him mockingly as they withdrew their glances and ignored Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi looked about, and his eyes finally settled on an elder standing in the middle of the rock.

This man stood at the center-most part of the huge rock. His eyes were closed as he held onto a sword diagonally pointed to the ground. Furthermore, Jiang Yi felt as if this elder was like a sheathed treasure sword; once it was unleashed, everyone here would die!

This man is probably the absolute formidable martial artist guarding the Primitive Mystic Realm, right? What a powerful aura! It is even stronger than Mo Lingqiu’s!

Jiang Yi secretly guessed as he suddenly jolted. Time here was very precious; he could not waste any more time. He sat cross-legged as he entered the State of the Union of Heaven and Man and immediately began to cultivate heavenly powers.

Once he cultivated, he instantly felt that something was different. The heavenly powers in his divine core gushed forward at such a fast pace. As he cultivated, the thick heaven and earth spirit energy surged into his body from all directions; his physical body was growing stronger at a frightening pace.

What a magical feeling; what a magical place! This is only the Primitive Mystic Realm. There is still the Dao Realm and the Primordial Mystic Realm, etc. How strong and magical could those places be?

Jiang Yi could not imagine. Under the State of the Union of Heaven and Man, he could split his attention and cultivate heavenly powers while realizing nomological mystical abilities. However, everyone here should know that, right? If not, there wouldn’t be people sleeping in here.

Let’s try and realize the absolute laws of heaven and earth in this Primitive Mystic Realm and complex nomological mystical abilities. Let’s see if I can realize a few powerful nomological mystical abilities?

Jiang Yi’s heart palpitated. Although nomological mystical ability attacks were the most common—in order to become a formidable martial artist, cultivating nomological mystical abilities was a must. After all, Jiang Yi was not from a Special Race and did not have unique mystical abilities; he still had to rely on nomological mystical abilities.

Jiang Yi concentrated his energies on the surroundings as he tried to realize the rock underneath him and the winds blowing in this place. He tried to realize the clouds that were creeping above him and the wonders of this realm.

Mo Lingqiu had given him his word; such a person would never lie.

Jiang Yi was very relaxed now. As long as nothing went wrong in the Stellarsky Domain, he could remain in the Higher Domain at ease. He knew that although he had become the Divine Eagle City Lord and had overcome an insurmountable obstacle, that was but a superficial glory. Without strength, he was nothing. He could only rely on Jiang Xiaonu’s reputation and status for the moment.

Jiang Yi wanted to return to the Stellarsky Domain and also wanted to traverse this place and find Yi Piaopiao and the Mystic Thearch. He also wanted to find Jiang Xiaonu as well. Jiang Yi knew he could only depend on himself. Without strength—even if he knelt down in front of Mo Lingqiu, Mo Lingqiu would not spare him a glance.

Jiang Yi also did not want to rely on others that much. He was used to depending on himself; he had had enough of the feeling of people having control over his destiny!

Cultivating made time seem fleeting. Jiang Yi had been in seclusion for a day and a half here; that was a hundred and fifty days in the Lower Domain; almost half a year there!

Jiang Yi groggily woke up as he tried to make sense of the time spent here. He found out that a day and a half had gone by. Time seemed to go by very fast here. However, he did not feel that so much time had actually pa.s.sed. The most important thing was that in the day and a half he had spent here, he had realized nothing!

This is so strange…

Jiang Yi blinked. By right, he was relatively gifted. Why is it after realizing for so long, he had had no success? He evidently could feel that there were so many mysteries in this place, and there were true essences of Heavenly Dao everywhere. However, he could not seem to grasp or make sense of them.

“I recommend that my Lord can cultivate till the Demon-Killing Battle General Realm first before entering. If not, it would be very wasteful.”

Jiang Yi thought about what Lu Hong had said and came to some revelations. It was very likely that as his current level was too low, he actually could not make sense of the profoundness of this place. Jiang Yi examined his body and found out that his heavenly powers had been cultivating at a very good pace. If nothing went wrong—after three days here, Jiang Yi should almost be at a Demon-Killing Battle General’s level.

Continue cultivating!

Jiang Yi did not believe in heresy as he closed his eyes and started to realize again. He wanted to make sense of the uncountable profound nomological laws of this mystic realm.

Yet…

Yet another day had gone by as Jiang Yi opened his eyes helplessly. He was very certain that based on his current strength and soul spirit, three days aside, even if he was given three years; he would not be able to realize anything!

My level and soul spirit are too weak. It is just like a martial artist of the Cast Tripod Realm; it is impossible for me to realize a Heaven-tier martial skill. How could a frog in a well understand the world at large?

Jiang Yi smiled bitterly and decided to stop trying. As he cultivated his heavenly powers, he sat there in a daze. He did not know what he should try and realize at this point in time.

The burning flames? That did not require any revelations at all. A witch G.o.d’s sorcery was too weak for someone like him. Nomological mystical abilities? He could not even reach the Entry Stage; how could he realize them? Mystical abilities? He did not seem to own any mystical ability secret manuals. He couldn’t possibly realize something out of nothing, right?

Right, the Mighty G.o.d Technique!

Thinking about secret manuals, Jiang Yi recalled that he seemed to have a book ent.i.tled the Mighty G.o.d Technique. Since he had nothing to do, Jiang Yi wanted to see if he could formulate a mystical ability from the Mighty G.o.d Technique.

Since he had nothing to do and was sitting idly, Jiang Yi took out the Mighty G.o.d Technique secret manual and started to read it. If he could formulate a mystical ability—even if it was ten times weaker than the Mighty G.o.d Technique itself, that would still be a very powerful mystical ability.

Although Jiang Yi had intended to peruse casually to kill time, he did not expect himself to be engrossed in it. He was deep in seclusion, and when the third day had pa.s.sed, Jiang Yi only came to after he had been teleported out.

Teleportation was a very painful thing. Jiang Yi was in a state of dizziness and grogginess for more than four hours before he arrived at the Demon-Killing Pavilion again. He opened his eyes blankly, looked about, and then sat down unsteadily. He did not utter a word for half a day.

“Lord Hunting Envoy!”

A while later, Lu Hong—who had been waiting for Jiang Yi all this while—could not resist anymore as he shouted out. Jiang Yi, however, did not come to. Instead, he started to murmur to himself curiously, “This is not right; this does not make sense. I am not a member of their race; why is it I can cultivate their mystical ability? Could it be… my bloodstream contains blood from their race? Or perhaps my mother’s race was one of their descendants?”

Something strange had happened. Jiang Yi discovered that he could actually… cultivate the Mighty G.o.d Technique!
