General He nodded and ordered one of the Soul Travel Realm experts to look for Lan Clan Head. They left soon enough and were apparently making arrangements.

It was a quiet autumn night which was rather cold. The chilling winds blew across, leaving a chilly sensation on everyone’s faces.

Jiang Yi and his group made it to Mountain Ghost City before dawn. General He gestured with a wave of his hand for his subordinates to change into stealthy clothing and cover their faces, infiltrating the city like leopard cats.

Even though Jiang Yi mentioned that he didn’t need their help, General He had this obvious mindset to curry favor with Jiang Yi. Since Jiang Yi and his group weren’t going to mask themselves, Xia Wuhui would settle this debt with Jiang Yi.

Dozens of individuals sneaked into the city, which was patrolled by guards of the city. How could such a small city contain any experts? They all sneaked in effortlessly and soon arrived at a large inn.

All of a sudden, there was this explosion on the second floor of the inn as one of the walls burst open. This explosion was like a fuse which created an uproar. There were sounds of battle that came from the inn, which was followed with miserable screams which broke the serenity of the small city.

Jiang Yi thought it wasn’t good, and soon enough, Ling Yi’s shouts echoed. “Let go of Jiang Yunhai, and I might spare your life. Otherwise, you will be dead for sure!”

Jiang Yi couldn’t take it anymore as he burst towards the inn. General He muttered to himself for a moment before he led over dozen subordinates and flocked into the inn behind Jiang Yi.

The waiters and innkeeper of the inn were already alarmed and were squatting while trembling on the ground. They didn’t even dare to move as they were afraid they might be mistakenly killed.

Jiang Yi took a quick glance and quickly went upstairs, only to see it was filled with corpses. It was in a complete disorder, and obviously, they were killed by Ling Yi and his men.

He didn’t even pause as he continued to move upwards to the third floor. His blade-like eyes swept across, and his body was suddenly trembling while his eyes were glistening with tears. He yelled out, “Grandfather!”

On the third floor, Ling Yi and his men had surrounded a middle-aged martial artist who was actually quite formidable at the fifth stage of Soul Travel Realm. Right now, one of his hand was strangling the neck of an old man with grizzled hair while on his other hand was this radiating long saber which was placed on this old man’s neck.

This old man was dressed shabbily, had disheveled hair, and robes tainted with blood. There wasn’t any hint of essence force coming from his body, and his eyes were rolling white from suffocation after being strangled by this middle-aged man.

“En?”

When he heard Jiang Yi’s yelling which was choked with emotion, the old man suddenly shot out two glimmers of light towards Jiang Yi. With a single glance, the old man’s body trembled as he had an expression of disbelief and mumbled, “Young Lord? Is that you?”
