My Stubborn Mistress 108 Entangled Lives: Montfort Family

Outside, Levi walks back and forth at the President's Office lobby. He is thinking hard how to deal with this President. He accepts that he could not outsmart him today, this, however, can not make him give up.

"Pete, how is it going?" He asked his butler.

"This building is built with the heaviest security system. Our best IT cannot get through but only earning us a virus on our system. Someone is monitoring us now. Besides, looks like, the main system wasn't inside this building but somewhere."

"What are you saying?"

"I don't know. When one of our IT successfully entered one portal, they used it as a bridge instead to enter our system. I told them to stop or else, our whole system would crash. I would suggest this when you become the CEO, move the Montfort main system somewhere no one could guess where. I think, President Crow did."

"Do you think so, Pete? Wait," Levi halt from walking. "d.a.m.n it!" he kicks the sofa in the lobby.

"Master, we are monitored here."

"Ah… why did I just remember." Levi laughed.

"Master?"

"We are relying on ATHENA, the Crow Corporations eye in the sky. Hah! They could play with us all along. d.a.m.n it!" Levi sits on the sofa.

All the Montfort system is relying on ATHENA. His family has great support originally from Crow Corporation Technology. Hah! To think, he was doing a lot of searches where Ca.s.sie possibly be. No wonder the information he got is less and limited. He was just played.

"Pete, you did think I am going to lose with him since the beginning, right?"

"If you want an honest answer, then I would tell you this… there is no way you could win."

"Is it? Tell me, Pete. What did you know about my parent's marriage?" he asked him.

"Who is that girl my father was in love with before?"

Pete took long before he answered. "My younger sister."

Levi looks up and stared his butler with a shocked. "So it's true after all? Did my mother know about this?"

"Yes. My sister working in De La Rue mansion."

"Then? Why my mother ended up marrying him in the end?"

"The man he loves died, as well," Pete answered in low voice.

"What?!"

"President Crow is right, it is just a marriage for convenience. And of course, they have to give an heir for Montfort House by an agreement... more like, protecting both of the family."

"Then who is that man my mother was in love with before?" Levi asked once again, but his butler did not answer. "Pete, am asking you." Levi heard him sighed.

"Henry Williams, President Crow's father."

Levi felt there is a lightning-like hit on his spine.

"Your mother and President Crow's mother, who went together to the United States to study, and your mother who first meet Henry… but he falls in love with her cousin instead, Lily De La Rue. It was your mother who told your uncle Edward about their secret relations.h.i.+p, out of jealousy."

Levi cannot contain himself with all of this revelation. How did all this happen? He is going crazy. Is this why his mother just seems stays silent when his father cheating on her?

"Is there something else I need to know more, Pete?"

"Yes. Your mother who told Henry that Lily died on giving birth to President Crow. She's the one who brought the child and gives to Henry."

"What!?"

"Yes. Master Edward and your parents who plan all along. Your father agrees to help because Master Edward is the current Vice President of the Montfort Corporation, promise to help him talk to the elders."

Levi feels like, the sky falls on him. Do his parents have a part of the death of President Crow's parents? He has no energy to find out more. He rested his head on his hand. How is he going to face him now? His family is actually done something towards his parents. And his family who robbed him the chance of having a complete and happy family.

Is this what the Entangled Lives mean? Is this the work of the curse? Greed… his family becomes greed because of love? d.a.m.n it! He's a part of this cursed after all? Their lives are truly entangled since the beginning.

"One more, Pete. How did Henry and Lily know the truth? I mean, you said, Henry went to France to get Lily, right?"

"If I am not mistaken, the name is Landon Young."

Levi looks at his butler, he felt devastated with more truth revealing on his face. It is Ca.s.sie's father right?!

"You're kidding me, Pete."

"Landon Young went to France for a tour when he saw Lily and Lady Katherine. He knew Lady Katherine because she tried to win Henry's heart so she often visits him in the US. I think the same person who brought President Crow back to the US and gives him to his father's adopted sister, something like that. The whole story, I don't know the detailed."

Then, Ca.s.sie's father has been already involved since the beginning? Wow.

"Before I forget to ask, Pete. What made my father and my mother agree with the marriage? He loves your sister, right?"

Pete heaved a sigh before he answered his Master. "Your father agreed to the marriage in exchange for the medication of my sister."

"What?"

"My family cannot afford all her medication. Her case is rare and only the Williams Medical Facility could help her. Your father made an agreement with the Elders, in exchange to support her medication. However, my sister cannot take all the medication procedure. Her body is too weak to take the dosages. She died after a year."

Levi stared at his butler. He is speechless in all of this revelation, the big secret his family is hiding.
