Quinn occupies himself on reviewing and signing the doc.u.ments that stacking up on his desk.

His office door opens and Kier steps inside then place another folder on the table. Quinn sighed. Looks like no vacation for him yet.

He even cannot remember when is the last time he went sailing and having fun with his friends. He has been busying on running the Crow Corporation for a year now.

"Why did you look like from a break up when you don't even have a girlfriend? Or you were actually dumped today?" Kier teases him.

Ca.s.sie is now all dress up but Joanna still inside the toilet room of this bathroom. She decided to knock here again for the 12th time now.

"Joanna? Do you need anything? Maybe we should postpone tonight and just ordered the food from the restaurant?"

"No way! I'll be fine later. Please let us go!"

"Okay, I'll ask for some medicine then," she said, then step out from the bathroom.

She dialed the front desk and ask for some a.s.sistance. Not that long, the medicine arrives but still, Joanna doesn't feel better.

"Ca.s.sie, I'm sorry. We supposed to celebrate your 17th birthday."

"What are you saying? We can still celebrate my birthday here?"

"Ugh, you made me feel guilty about ruining your day." Joanna shoved her face on the pillow.

"Jeez, it's just my birthday."

"No, it's not! It is your birthday! Besides, you still have to pay compensation even after canceling your reservation." Joanna rolls around the huge sofabed.

"How about if, you should still go? Even alone, because your dress is such a waste not to ramp out there!"

"What? And there's no fun you know? Everyone has a date or company then I was alone? I am totally fine about celebrating my birthday here with you."

"No! You should go! Then, take some food for me after, okay?" Joanna winks then she continued on convincing her to go.

"How I could enjoy the food if you were here suffering?"

"Don't mind me, I will call dad to accompany you for a while." Joanna offers.

Ruben Chang is the present Mayor of the Hiryuu Island and currently, he attended the Dinner Party with the other mayors and National officials.

"What? No. Uncle Ruben was in an important gathering."

"Go, papa already said yes." Joanna showed her phone for Ca.s.sie to read her father's message.

"You shouldn't do that!"

"You're welcome. Argh, I have to go back in again." Joanna runs the bathroom.

Ca.s.sie left in awe. Looks like, she has no choice.

"Joanna, is it really okay for you to be here alone? I'm worried you know?"

"Yes, go now!" Joanna shouted from the other side of the toilet door.

"Okay, am leaving now."

In the end, Ca.s.sie drags her feet toward the restaurant where suppose to be she and Joanna will celebrate her birthday.

She entered the French restaurant and told the Receptionist about her reservation. The manager quickly entertains her after she was spotted on the entrance.

"This way, Miss. . ." the manager leads the way to her table.

Ca.s.sie did not expect that the table will be given her is near the floor-ceiling window. From here, the view was romantically beautiful. Her eyes wander outside and she sees that the rain still pouring so hard, however, the city still looks beautiful tonight from those dazzling lights in the entire city.

Ca.s.sie seated comfortably on the chair and the manager asks her orders.

Ca.s.sie picks up the menu and flips the pages and scan all the food that they are offering. Everything looks delicious so she can't decide right away.

"Take your time, Miss. Let me know if you already decided."

"Oh, thank you."

Ca.s.sie continued flipping the menus and finally, she gives her orders. While waiting, her phone rings and it was Ruben Chang.

"h.e.l.lo, uncle Ruben?"

"Ca.s.sie? I'm really very sorry. The Prime Minister suddenly arrives here, I cannot bring up to leave."

"Oh, no worries uncle Ruben!"

"Am very sorry, Ca.s.sie if I cannot come."

"No problem, uncle Ruben! It's really fine, Joanna just wanted to make my birthday special so she has a lot of ideas."

Ca.s.sie talks with Ruben a little longer before they ended the call.

Quinn entered the Parisian restaurant and the manager quickly meet him.

"President, good evening! Miss is already waiting." the manager informed him.

"Miss? Who's--" Quinn spotted someone familiar. He almost did not recognize her dressing up like that.

"President Williams!"

Quinn turned his head and saw Mr. Smith and his daughter Olivia entering the restaurant.

"Am very glad to see you tonight! I actually began asking around if the President is available for a dinner tonight." the old Smith said.

"Good evening, Chairman Smith." Quinn stretched his arm to handshake with one of the Crow Corporation huge investors.

"Hi, Quinn!"

"h.e.l.lo, Olivia." He greeted poorly. This is bad. What bad luck! In all the people, this father, and daughter he wanted to avoid not meeting anywhere. But what an occasion to cross path with them tonight.

"Come and join us, Quinn!"

"Hi!" he greeted the beautiful woman who's sitting alone on this table near the high ceiling window.

The woman was surprised but then, she gives him that heavenly smile after recognizing him.
