Couples of days pa.s.sed just like a blink of an eye. Now is the third day since the Bella Collection Fas.h.i.+on Show.

Shun was staring at his table. The folders that piling up are now one by one out of his sight. Thanks to the help of Meisha and Vice President Lim that came back to the country yesterday, his workload divided.

But something is missing. There is something not seems right. Been now three days Ca.s.sie did not send him even just one text message. Shun is twirling his pen between his fingers. His secretary is silently standing in front of his table and patiently waiting for his order.

Her boss was been distracted all day. She's wondering what her boss was thinking? Does he think about Miss Olivia? These pa.s.sing two days, all the headline news is about her boss and that cruise line heiress. An ordinary person like her is no match for that woman. Although she doesn't like Olivia, she was beautiful and rich. There are possibilities that her boss chose her for the sake of business.

"Uhm, President Crow?" Marie tried to get the attention of her boss.

"Oh, Marie. Do you need something?" He came back to his senses.

"I just wanna ask if when do you like to move your dinner meeting tonight?"

"If my lunch tomorrow is available, then just move it there," coldly he answered.

"Okay, boss. That's all I wanted to verify," she just wanted to get out of this room. She was like, some icy water with a lot of ice cubes on a bucket pouring on her.

"You can now leave," he told her.

"Okay, boss," she bowed then step out of the room the fastest she could. Marie heaved a deeper sighed after she gets out of the office.

What's wrong to her boss again? She thought.

"Marie, is President was there?"

Marie was startled. "Director Lawrence! Ah yes, he is!"

Kier stared at her. The way she is reacting looks like the boss is not in the mood. Kier glance at the folder he is holding, but he has to report. He knocks twice then entered.

Woah. Why this room is too cold? Kier thought. "Hey."

Shun look up and glance at him. Kier thought, 'wow, was like just looking at a ghost'. Kier invited himself to sit down.

"Ahem. Here's the appraisal of the house Ca.s.sie's aunt purchased in Hawaii."

Shun takes the folder from Kier's hand and read the details. The sum is 1.2 million dollars, that's a lot. Ca.s.sie could buy the Villa back.

"What's your plan?"

"Ca.s.sie still a minor, and according to the doc.u.ments we have, she will just able to get the 400 thousand dollars in her father's account at the Bank of America when she is 21 years old."

"If we include the amount we got from the auction, Ca.s.sandra has a total of 2.9 million dollars," Shun added.

Kier whistles. If it will convert to their currency, it was a lot. "Aside of the bonds her father inherited from her grandfather. When do you plan to tell her about it?"

Shun did not answer. Kier's phone rings, he checks the caller and it was his friend in the US, a lawyer like him.

"I have to answer this," he said. "h.e.l.lo, Walter?"

Kier listens to the other line. "Okay, wait. I'll open my Tab." Kier opens his Tab PC and checks his email.

"Okay, am reading it now. Thank you. Thank you very much. Yes. Did you receive the wired money? Okay. That's great. Bye."

Kier rose from his chair and went to the printer, and took the doc.u.ments he printed then handed it to Shun.

Anger registered on Shun's face. He read the rest of the statement.

"Looks like Lydia trying hard to make her way to claim it. Fortunately, the court did not accept her appeal and she wasn't granted as Ca.s.sie's guardian."

"Of course, this a huge sum of money. $2.4 million Life Insurance of her father. Aside from that 400,000 dollars at American Bank, Lydia could get a lot when she was granted as Ca.s.sandra's guardian."

"Good thing we able to set her up."

"Yeah. And make sure they can't make bailout," Shun ordered.

"Of course, she has to face multiple cases. What do you plan about it?" Kier asked. "Walter said, we could appeal to the court if we wanted to and we present Ca.s.sie personally. But, we can have another choice. We can transfer it to her father's bonds. The Stocks is doing good."

Shun stare at him. "Then why you do not start packing now? You can bring Jean for your honeymoon."

Kier scratches his temple. "I think, you are the one who should leave now."

"What?"

"You're the one who seems need a vacation."

Shun did not answer but think carefully about what Kier said. He sighed. "I still have lots of things to get done before I go back to the island."

Kier was not able to speak when someone knocks on the door. Matt entered the room that made Kier wonder.

"Matt? What are you doing here?"

"I'll give my report, of course."

Kier looks at Shun confusingly.

"I a.s.signed him to investigate something."

"Yes, and here are the doc.u.ments I gathered brother Shun," Matt gives the folder to Shun.

Kier kicked the chair Matt seated at. "You should address the boss when we are at the office! We're not at the house!"

"What!? Why you suddenly bullied me!" Matt complained. Shun just shook his head listening to the siblings.

"What is it?" he asked Matt afterward.

Matt just shrugged his shoulder. Kier attempted to kick his chair.

"Brother Shun! This man is hurting me!"

"What is this? The two of you have guts to make the President's Office as a playground?" said of a man who entered the room without knocking then fixes his gla.s.s.

"Brother Rudolf! I missed you!" Matt runs towards him then hide behind him. "My brother by blood is such a bully."

Kier just rolled his eyes. His siblings are already nosy about his friends when they hang out at the Lawrence residence. Rudolf seated at the chair where Matt taking. He chooses to stand behind to avoid his brother.

Shun put down the folder after he finishes reading the doc.u.ments. But he stayed silent. He rose from his chair and went to the sofa. The other men followed him and seated at the opposite.

He gestured Matt to speak. Matt nodded and began sharing about his investigation to the UKG Developer Company.

"I found out, the old Young invested a certain amount to Mr. Kang to begin a construction firm. James Young went back to the US, left the old Mr. Kang to manage the firm until it grows. Because the old Young more concentrated on working as a surgeon and has no interest in running a business, Mr. Kang completely handle the firm all by himself. Then James Young got married and stayed in the US because his wife has a weak body then his wife conceived a son, that's Ca.s.sandra's father."

Shun's face scowled when Matt called Ca.s.sie on her true name. Kier elbowed his brother like he wanted to drown him now. Matt sighed, he forgets it was forbidden for them to say Ca.s.sie's first name. He then continued. Meisha now joined them and seated quietly.

"James planned to come back and want to begin a new life. He decided to go home at Hiryuu Island. Originally, it was Cas... Ca.s.sie's grandfather to farm the desert land in Hiryuu Island for his wife who has a weak body. It makes Mr. Kang anxious about. But the doctor did not permit the wife to travel that far yet as she has to be fully treated. Until James forgot to come back. "Are you saying that Ca.s.sie's parents are murdered and not by accident?" Rudolf who now giving his opinion.

"To these days, Crow Corporation has 20% shares in the company. The G Group own 15% shares and the Kang took 30% shares. When it began, originally, they only have 35% shares and 65% shares by James Young investment. As the stocks skyrocketed each year, the worth of the shares is now a hundred times," Shun a.s.serted.

"It means, right now the condition of the shares, the Young owns 35% of the company," Matt revealed.

"Meaning, Ca.s.sie is the CEO of the UKG Company," Kier concluded.

"Where is Daichi?" Shun asked.

"He said, there's someone he has to meet importantly at North Harbor," Meisha who answered.

"I want to add more people in the island. Ca.s.sandra shouldn't leave the island. The Kang is aware that Landon Young made his Will before they go back to Hiryuu Island, stating that his daughter could take everything when she is 21 years old if he died. The Kang won't wait for Ca.s.sandra to reach that age."

"The reason you did not take her to the Fas.h.i.+on Show is because of this right?"

Shun did not answer.
