Serendipity - A Chance Encounter 134 Cliffside Villa 4

As soon as the door had closed, Hannah backed away from Seo Joon and found a spot where she can place the bottles. She let out a whimper as she covered her mouth and refused to look at the man who had just kissed her, "Oh my G.o.d. How embarra.s.sing."

Seo Joon looked at her, he was also feeling embarra.s.sed himself but he didn't show it. He was more relieved to know that Hannah kissed him back. Hiding his silly smile, he walked up to her, "What's there to be embarra.s.sed about? It's not like we're doing anything wrong."

Hannah was feeling extremely shy at that moment. Just a few minutes ago, she believed that she had already let go of her worries but after what happened, there was no way she could face Seo Joon again.

'OMG, I kissed Joon! And I loved it!', she screamed in her head like a school girl.

Wanting to escape the awkward atmosphere in the cozy wine cellar, Hannah hurriedly picked up the wine bottles and fled out of the room, leaving Seo Joon with his thoughts and his feelings of excitement and antic.i.p.ation.

When Hannah came back up, she was so nervous to face her best friend Samantha and her fiance Daniel who had just witnessed the scene just a moment ago. Her emotions were stirred when she appeared in the dining area where Samantha caught her eyes.

Hannah didn't know if Daniel had told Samantha about what he just saw. She wasn't ready for anything to happen yet, it was all too sudden for her!

Samantha and Daniel appeared beside her as she clutched her hands looking so guilty. Hannah stole a glance at the CEO of Cho Corporation whom she holds in high regard.

'Mr. Cho, please be nice to me.', she pleaded in her thoughts as she knew that Samantha would definitely not shut up about it.

"So… Han…", Samantha spoke after tasting the wine that Hannah had just brought back from the cool wine cellar.

Hannah looked at her, waiting for her to continue talking and so Samantha probed, "How did it taste?"

Hannah paled from her question, "What?"

Not looking at her best friend, "The wine… from the wine cellar. How was it? Did it taste good?", Samantha clarified.

Daniel stifled a laugh at his fiance's attempt to tease her best friend who's now looking like a ghost, so nervous that she looked like she was sweating buckets. He brushed a finger on his nose as he tried to stop himself from laughing.

Hannah cleared her throat and denied, "I don't know what you're talking about. I was just… I only took the wine and came back up."

'OMG, you little liar, Hannah Chu!', she cursed herself. She doesn't know why she's feeling so guilty about what just happened. But that's not even the worst thing in her mind, it's that she felt a little disappointed that Daniel came in and 'interrupted' their kiss.

But she can't actually say that to him, right?

"Mhmm.", Samantha sounded while she smiled. Her smile made Hannah's back even sweatier.

Not long after, Seo Joon came into the room looking like nothing happened at all. He didn't even look at Hannah's way.

She somehow antic.i.p.ated that he would at least glance at her or something but why wasn't he doing or saying anything?

"Joon, can you pa.s.s me some napkin please?", Samantha called her brother who was near the table.

He took a few pieces and brought it to his sister, who… of course didn't actually need any. "Here.", he said as he extended his hand, still not looking at Hannah.

"Honey, would you mind helping me in the kitchen?", Samantha tugged her fiance's sleeves and urged him to leave the two alone.

Catching her signal, Daniel gladly walked away with her.

Hannah and Seo Joon stood beside each other but none of them were talking. Hannah became even more anxious when Seo Joon's elbow brushed against her arm.

She waited.

And waited.

But he didn't talk.

'What is wrong with this guy? Is he seriously not going to talk to me after kissing me? I did kiss him back though... but still!', she debated with herself.

"Umm… Joon?", Hannah finally opened her mouth and Seo Joon contained his smile by showing an emotionless face, he was testing her.

"Yeah?"

"Are we… not going to talk about what just happened?", she asked.

He turned his head to her, "Why, Han? What just happened?"

Hannah wanted to ask him the same thing, why was it so hard to talk about that kiss?

'Okay, time to change the question then.', she thought and bravely, she questioned him. "Why did you and Becca break up?"

With a voice so clear, he admitted, "Because I like someone else.". And though he didn't drop any names, it was pretty obvious especially between the two of them.

Upon hearing his answer, Hannah didn't understand what she was feeling. "Who... who is she?", she probed like an innocent lady and Seo Joon looked at her like she's dumb.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen of the Cliffside Villa.

Daniel leaned with his back on the counter and Samantha stood in front of him. Stroking her waist, he whispered into her ear, "Have I told you that you look incredibly s.e.xy in that outfit?".

"But you say that to all my outfits.", she purred before she tiptoed and kissed him on the lips.

"Well that's because you do look s.e.xy in anything and... nothing.", he spoke with a devilish smile. His smile that always sends tingles into Samantha's belly.

She giggled as she snuggled to him, "You always say the nicest things, love."

"We should chase them all out so that I can have you all for myself already.", he suggested.

Samantha was amused by his urgency, "But it's only 8 in the evening?"

Daniel pulled her with him and headed towards the living room where everyone is, "Well then, let's tell them to hurry up and leave because we're making babies."
