Daniel didn't mind recalling everything that happened during that night when Samantha ran away and that he found her in a miserable state sitting on the curb in Marble Road.

After listening to Daniel's explanation, Seo Joon sighed. "I guess it was because of me why she recovered her lost memories."

"Don't blame yourself just as Samantha shouldn't blame herself for what happened when she was young."

Both of them became quiet. Seo Joon contemplated before deciding to tell him something, "Bro."

"Yes?"

"I think I know who caused my accident."

Daniel's brows furrowed, "What do you mean? Isn't it just an accident?"

"I don't think so... In the morning of that day... I was driving when I received a text message. It only said 'Nice car.'. I didn't think about it too much, I thought it was just someone I know. I was busy so I didn't reply."

"But what made you think that someone caused your accident?"

"A few seconds before the other car crashed into mine, I swear I saw the driver looking at me."

Daniel s.h.i.+fted on his chair before he asked, "I don't follow."

"It didn't seem like it was unintentional, it looked like he deliberately rammed his car into mine. It was just a few seconds, I couldn't steer the car in time but the look in his face when I saw him, he wasn't shocked at all. He looked determined."

After Seo Joon explained, Daniel thought about it. So the car accident wasn't just a mere accident, rather it was intentional.

"Have you offended someone? Who would do this to you?"

Seo Joon didn't want to admit it but he had to tell Daniel his thoughts. "Holden, Holden Xuan."

"What happened between you two? How did you get involved with him?"

Seo Joon then told Daniel about what happened a little over 2 months ago. He started with how Holden damaged his car and Samantha getting revenge for him using a stink-bomb. Daniel has heard about Holden's bad reputation and he cursed silently; Samantha p.i.s.sed off Holden. But of course, Holden probably only thought that it was Seo Joon.

"Of course, I'm not a hundred percent sure about it but it is what my gut is telling me."

Daniel nodded, "So... you're saying..."

"I'm saying, you have to help me not let Samantha get involved with this anymore. Most importantly, if it will be proven that it is indeed Holden, it will put another strain on Samantha. She might blame herself again."

"I don't think it's that easy, especially with the media. She's bound to know about it sooner or later.", Daniel said after thinking of ways on how they're going to handle the matter.

Both of them talked for a little while longer. What they didn't know was that, outside of Seo Joon's room, Samantha heard everything that they've talked about regarding Seo Joon's accident.

Her hand that was on the doork.n.o.b trembled, and a tear threatened to escape from her eye. Samantha turned around and walked back to her room. A few minutes later, Daniel arrived.

"Oh, hey you're awake."

Samantha nodded, "Where were you?"

"Good news. You're brother just woke up, I came to see him. I didn't want to wake you so I slipped out for a bit."

Samantha's eyes brightened, "Really? I want to see him.", she said as she got out of bed.

Daniel helped and brought her to Seo Joon's room.

"Dopey."

Samantha rushed to her brother's side and pounced on his arm. "You dummy!"

"Ooof. Careful, I kinda just had surgery, you know.", Seo Joon winced in pain but he smiled afterward anyway.

"I don't care! You scared me!"

Daniel chuckled and walked towards the bed, he carefully pulled Samantha away from Seo Joon. "You're hurting your brother. Take it easy."

She pouted, "Really? Or are you just jealous even to my brother?"

Daniel's expression darkened and Seo Joon snickered, "Ow. Ow. Can you not flirt in front of me? I feel like I'm gonna need a brain surgery after watching you two."

Chairman and Mrs. Kim entered the room and saw the three of them. Daniel excused himself to give the family some time alone.

That afternoon, Samantha asked to get discharged from the hospital. But her parents asked her to stay for one more night.

Grandfather Kim came to the hospital and he spent some time talking with Samantha after he visited his grandson. He was very worried about the two but when he heard about the news, he was out of town at that time and just came back in the morning.

Because of some office work, Daniel had to return to Cho corporation where he stayed there for the whole night. Though he was reluctant to leave the hospital, there was nothing he could do. So for the night, Hannah stayed by Samantha's side.

Samantha wanted to get out of her room, so she and Hannah walked around the hospital. They were sitting in the lobby as they watched the people around them and Hannah was happily talking about a lot of things while Samantha just listened. Samantha's attention was brought to the large television in front of them.

"Sam?", Hannah called when she noticed Samantha. She followed her gaze and then she saw a movie advertis.e.m.e.nt playing on the TV. The movie was about a modern love story, it was featuring the plot and the cast of the film. Hannah's eyes widened when she saw Nancy on the screen. She was playing the second female lead.

"Nggnnnnh", Samantha winced while she touched her head.

"S!!! Help! Doctor! Somebody help!!", Hannah screamed asking for help from the people around them.

Samantha fainted and some nurses gathered around her to help her up. She went through a series of examination before she was brought back to her room. Samantha's parents and Seo Joon all stayed in Samantha's room.

"I'll step out for a bit and call Daniel.", said Hannah to the rest of the people in the room.

Daniel answered on the 2nd ring. "h.e.l.lo?"

"Daniel, umm something happened to Samantha."

"What? What happened?"

"She fainted after experiencing a headache."

"I'm on my way."

In 10 minutes, Daniel arrived in the hospital. He slowly opened the door and noticed that everyone was there, "What happened? Wasn't she okay before I left?"

"Why don't we talk in another room? We might wake her up.", Seo Joon declared.

Thus, all of them went to Seo Joon's and sat on the sofa.

"Now that we're complete, tell us what happened, Hannah.", Chairman Kim spoke. They actually waited for Daniel so that they could all discuss Samantha's condition.

"Well, Samantha felt stuffy inside the room so we walked around the hospital. She got tired from all the walking so we sat on a chair in the lobby. We were just talking when I noticed Samantha's gaze was fixed on the TV. That's when..."

"Go on.", Seo Joon urged.

"I saw Nancy on TV. She's now an actress."

"What? Do you mean Nancy Jung? She's an actress?", Mrs. Kim exclaimed looking very shocked.

"I'm sorry I'm not following, is she a threat?", Daniel asked.

Hannah snapped her fingers, "Oh right, I forgot to tell you about that. Um.. Uncle Sun, can you explain about the hypnosis? I don't think I can retell it well."

Chairman Kim nodded and carefully told Daniel about what happened 12 years ago.

Back then, during one of Samantha's treatments after Mia's burial, she had hypnotherapy. When she constantly had nightmares and claimed to have killed Mia, she didn't talk a lot after that. So Samantha's parents decided to help her and the police to recall her memories and tell them what happened. They also found out what scared her, the media that aggressively hara.s.sed her after the burial and Nancy who accused her. While Samantha was under hypnosis, she recalled what Nancy asked her to do. To tell the police and everyone that it was Samantha who asked Mia to drive the car, or let Mia take all the blame.

After her therapy sessions, the Kim Family understood what kind of child Nancy is. So when Samantha lost her memories because of dissociative amnesia, Chairman Kim decided to send Nancy Jung's family to another city. He provided both parents with jobs and money to avoid running into them in the city causing Samantha trouble. He was afraid that Samantha might once again experience something terrible if she meets Nancy.

After their conversation, Hannah was very worried so she also stayed in the hospital. Mr. & Mrs. Kim went home while Daniel stayed for a couple of hours in Samantha's room before he went back to the office after midnight.

The next morning, Samantha woke up and saw all her family members before her.

"How are you feeling, sweetheart? Does your head still hurt?"

Samantha s.h.i.+fted to a sitting position, "What happened?"

"You fainted, do you remember anything?"

Just as Mrs. Kim asked this, a knock from the door was heard and Daniel came in.

"How are you?", he asked as he moved closer to Samantha.

Samantha looked at Hannah and her family before her gaze landed on Daniel,

"Are you... my doctor?"

Daniel's brows furrowed and the rest of the people in the room had bewildered expressions.

"Sam, don't be silly, this is Daniel. How could you not recognize him?", Hannah asked.

"Uhh... okayyy? Is he your new boyfriend, Han?". Samantha asked in confusion.
