"What took you so long?", Seo Joon asked as he saw Becca approaching.

She smiled and hooked her arms around him when she got closer, "I ran into some…", she sighed, "nevermind. Ready to go?"

"Yes, let's go. Are we heading north? You didn't really tell me where we're going.", he spoke while bringing her to the pa.s.senger's seat.

"That's a secret. You just have to follow the Navi that I set.", she grinned wickedly.

"Okay, you're the boss.", he declared before placing a kiss on her cheek.

Seo Joon's Mercedes drove away from Sun Studio. At the entrance stood Nancy Jung and Hazel Kun witnessing the whole thing.

"I hate her! I hate her to death! Who was that man though? Was that her rich boyfriend? A backer?", Hazel relentlessly accused.

Nancy breathed out, she began to feel like befriending Hazel was a bad idea; her big mouth will definitely cause trouble.

That was the first time that Nancy saw Seo Joon Kim after a very long time, she thought that the world really is small. Well, at least City M is; a small world in a big city.

...

Samantha was at the desk with her Alienware laptop. She had already showered and then started with her programming as soon as Daniel left the suite, now she's full-on geek mode. She sat cross-legged on the chair, had her large rimmed eyegla.s.ses on. Her hair was brought up into a ponytail and she was wearing comfy loungewear.

On her desk were bottles of water, some chocolates, and biscuits. She was very determined to finish it as soon as she can as the presentation was scheduled in 3 days time. The prototype that she was building could be finished in an average of 5 days by a normal programmer. But Samantha's typing speed was way above average and pair that up with her brain, the results would be astounding.

Samantha had been coding away non-stop the entire day and the only times that she paused were when she had to pee; even then, she had wished and thought that maybe wearing adult diapers wouldn't be a bad idea.

The thing with Samantha Kim is that, when she starts to program, it's going to be very hard for her to stop as she wants to continue and progress as much as she can. She'll stretch her limits boundary after boundary, there will be times that she'd think of taking a break but her incredible mind doesn't stop working, flas.h.i.+ng her images of syntax' that she would later on put into action on her software.

Even during lunch time, Samantha had been focused on her work. She didn't even realize how someone had managed to send in a lunch meal for her, the room service employee quietly placed the tray beside her desk and left without saying anything. Somehow, Samantha had just known that there is food beside her so she ate and programmed at the same time.

What she wasn't aware of as well was that Daniel had placed security outside her door since he left and were the ones who let the room service in.

Time was very fast and Samantha was already halfway down the prototype. It was already 8 in the evening when Daniel arrived and what he saw inside the suite was a side of Samantha that he had never seen before.
.
.
His face tilted to the side, trying to think if the woman was still his wife; well, future wife. Samantha's ponytail was already a messy bun but with more loose hair than the bun itself. Her once white loungewear had coffee stains and her cheeks had some crumbs from the food she just ate. She was also biting a pencil as she was typing away, not realizing that her man had already arrived after a long day's work.

"Samantha...", Daniel tried to call her but Samantha didn't seem to notice.

He had figured that she really was busy so he just moved around the suite quietly as not to disturb her. Daniel had showered and changed clothes before he walked up to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Samantha was startled and looked to her side, "Oh... you're here.", she had a surprised look on her face as she looked around and saw from the window that it was already dark outside.

"You were so concentrated.", Daniel spoke as he picked out a few grains of rice on Samantha's hair; in which he had no idea how it got there.

Samantha saved her progress and then ran her hands on her face before she stretched. "Sorry I just had to do a lot of things."

Daniel smiled to her and asked, "Why don't you rest for a bit?"

Her mind was still in chaos; even while talking to Daniel, she was still thinking about the algorithm that she was trying to come up with. "Yeah, I guess I can-", she suddenly stopped midway when a method appeared in her head. She then abruptly sat back on the chair and started typing again, "I... just need to finish this part."

Daniel was taken aback by her unexpected change of expression and thoughts. Thinking that he should just let her be, he sighed and went to the bathroom to get some face towels. With a wet towel, Daniel started to wipe Samantha's face and then he followed it with the dry towel. When he was satisfied, he combed her hair gently and tied it up gingerly in a ponytail like he was tending to a little girl.

He never bothered Samantha after that and just went on to do his own thing until he fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Samantha had no idea about what's happening around her and just continued to program on her computer.

...

The next morning, Daniel woke up to the sound of his alarm clock; it was 6 in the morning. He looked at the s.p.a.ce next to him and saw that it was empty.

"You didn't sleep?", Daniel asked as he got out of the bedroom. "Samantha.", he called her attention.

With tired eyes, Samantha lifted her head and looked at Daniel, "No, I'm not done yet. Go back to sleep.", her eyes focused on her computer screen once again.

"But honey, it's morning already. Your eyes are tired, you should rest."

"Don't mind me, I'm okay. Just go to work, I'm almost done.", Samantha said dismissively. She was so focused on her coding that she didn't want to talk anymore.

Daniel's brows scrunched up. He became nervous as he thought how it might be possible for Samantha to turn into a monster if she continues to be like this.

'Did I make the right choice of allowing her to work on this project? What have I gotten myself into?'
