Her lips were pale and her breathing was a bit faint. Her body seems to get weaker and weaker as days goes by.

"Stacy! Please! You have to go to the hospital. your condition is now becoming worst!" Johnny pleads Stacy who was sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Johnny, I can still manage. Besides, you know what will happen once Silver finds me right?" she explained.

"But Stacy!"

"Johnny, I'll be fine." She smiled barely. "By the way Johnny, I would like to asked you a favor."

"What is it?" he dimly responded.

"I need you to help Miss Sherry trace her roots. but the thing is, I only have her child's picture. Would you be able to do that just by using an old photo?"

"I'll try. Where is the photo?"

"It's inside my bag." She was about to stand up but Johnny stopped her.

"I'll get it. just sit down." Johnny stood up and went to where the bag was then he opens the zipper and brought the envelope out. he opened to see the photo. A photo of a beautiful young child with a beautiful eye color. Aww! She looks like an angel. Then behind her was a young woman who was embracing the child lovingly. Guess the woman was Sherry when she was young and the child would be the dead kid.

He smiled. ah, the young girl's emerald green eyes reminds him when he first saw Stacy years ago. It was also this vibrant---- Johnny suddenly paused as he looked at the photo carefully.

Wait! this young girl--- then he looked at Stacy. It looks like her! his eyes widened in disbelief. Impossible! Is this merely coincidence? His eyes were still on Stacy but his mind was somewhere else.

"Johnny are you okay?" Stacy asked when she saw his paleness. Unconsciously, Johnny handed her the photo. There's only one way to discover, he considered.

Stacy leisurely took the photo in Johnny's hands then she looked at it. her eyes were a bit hazy that time so she cannot see it clearly. Then she rubs her eyes using her fingers. After a few minutes, her jaw drops with her eyes widened in surprise.

Wait! the two person on the picture. This woman…Isn't she Cherry-Ann Lee, her mother and the child was--- it was Erika! Stacy cannot be mistaken; the young girl was Erika. Although they look so much alike, but Erika's eyes are much livelier! She's more vibrant and she was always smiling during their childhood days.

"Momma! Erika!" she mumbled. She can't believe what she is seeing right now and what her mind was trying to convey. Was Sherry her mom? Was she alive the whole time? Wait! what is happening? She's confuse.

"Stacy, are you okay?" Johnny can see how flabbergasted she was. Guess his suspicions were right. But he can sense that Stacy was still rationalizing everything so he told her about the writings at the back of the picture.

"Stacy, I don't know how to thank you but if someday we'll cross paths again, I'll make sure to take care of you as a mother does to her child. On this photo, you'll see my daughter and I. You both have the same eye color, what a coincidence. I hope this will be of good help as you trace back my life. once again, thank you. ---Love, Sherry."

As soon as Stacy finished reading Sherry's note, tears started to stream from her eyes. Her heart, she's feeling overwhelmed. She doesn't know but guess those where tears of joy knowing that her mom was alive all these years. Or maybe tears of grief knowing about her current condition--- she doesn't remember anything about her past. That means she doesn't remember her daughters.

She's been living a life of lies with Silver. Was that the reason why Silver took her? did he know about her ident.i.ty since the beginning? Stacy was overcome by her emotions but Johnny was there to be her fortress.

"Momma, mom is alive Johnny. She's alive!" her voice was breaking in disbelief.

"Shhhh…. Calm down Stacy, calm down." Johnny was worried because she might faint again.

Her condition is becoming worst and worst as days goes by. But now that they learnt about her mother, rays of hope dawn within Johnny. Then bone marrow transplant is possible now! Johnny's eyes glimmers with faith.

However, the problem is how to convince Sherry when Silver is on the frontline. Now his in deep thought when he felt Stacy calmed a bit, though he can still hear some sobs.

"I have to see her Johnny." She uttered. "I need to go back to Silver's house. I'm going to get my mother back." She spoke with surety.

"But Stacy I don't think Silver will let you do that! he might even kill you!" Johnny relayed the probabilities.

"She's alive." She hysterically chuckled. "all this time we thought that she was dead. But she's alive and she's been living a life of falsehoods. Silver must have been doing something and I need to save her from that evil man!" she was adamant.

"Stacy, it's too dangerous for you." Johnny beseeched her.

"I don't care. I just want to tell her the truth. I need to tell her that her daughters are both alive." Her eyes were clouded by tears once again.

Then after a few minutes, she tried to stand up but as she steps forward, she landed on Johnny's arms. she suddenly pa.s.sed out!

"Stacy!" he yelled frantically. She can't go on like this until she dies. Johnny doesn't want to just watch her fade slowly so he called an ambulance. After a few minutes, an ambulance came and they brought Stacy to the nearest hospital.

Unknown to Johnny, his phone has been ringing for how many times now but his phone was on silent mode and he was totally preoccupied about Stacy.

Ethan knitted his brow. What happen? Why isn't he answering the phone when he indicated on the letter that it's an urgent matter? He mused.

His been calling the number over and over again but no one is answering the phone. Then for the last time, he called yet again but to no avail. The letter seems to be urgent but why isn't he picking up? Guess he will try again later.

He left his phone on top of his desk as he reaches the piles of doc.u.ments on his table and started studying some. After a few minutes, his phone rings. He looked at the caller id; it was the number that he called a lot of times earlier. now his calling. Was he that busy? He thought.

"h.e.l.lo this is Ethan…" he answered the phone but after saying his name the caller dropped the call immediately. What the…?! he bellowed.
