He saw the pain that she has to bear. The agony that she's undergoing right now, it's definitely killing her.

A throbbing pain and difficulty engulfed the woman before him. He himself was hurting as he watches her through the gla.s.sy divider. His been looking at her until the doctor puts him to sleep.

"What happen to her?" Ethan asked Johnny as soon as they reach the hospital's cafeteria.

"Stage 3 Myeloma." Johnny lowered his head. His voice was filled with sadness.

"What? She has leukemia?!" Ethan's eyes widened in disbelief. "Since when?"

"I think she found out a year ago." Johnny started. "The truth is I don't have any idea about her sickness or when and how did she found out about it."

"Was it you? are you with her when she run away?" Ethan asked in curiosity.

"No. I didn't even know that she went missing until I met Aisha."

"You encountered Aisha?"

"Yes. At your company. you were there too." He looked at Ethan then at his coffee again. "I thought she was just acting that time that's why I stalk her every single night. and when I found a chance, I tried to approach her but she was swift to hit me on the ground." He shyly chuckled.

"Then one day, Aisha told me about her true ident.i.ty and asked me to find her sister in Paris so I went. Days pa.s.sed, weeks and months. I had a hard time searching for her but one day, I was able to meet someone who knew her. then I found out that she's been spending her time learning different cuisines and that she was gone to Aisha so I followed her. After how many days, I accidentally met her." Johnny smiled when he remembered that day. only his heart knew how happy he was when he finally saw her.

Ethan was silently listening to Johnny' story.

"At first, she doesn't want to go back here but when she learnt about her twin sister, she adamantly cancelled all her schedule so she could come back as soon as possible. She said she wanted to see her sister before everything is too late. no one knows, not even his adopted father about her condition." Then he looked at Ethan intently.

"Ethan, you should also know that it was against her will to marry you. the year that you found her was the year that were supposed to get marry but in order to repay his adopted fathers, she needed to adhere to their orders. She cannot do anything about it so she chooses you over me."

"What? but why did Robert wants her to marry me against her will?"

"It's not Robert, there is someone higher than him. he was the one controlling Stacy and Robert." Johnny was disturbed. "You should know that Stacy owes her life to the man who originally adopted her."

Ethan walked out the hospital with a lot of thoughts. All the information that he heard was too much to comprehend. He doesn't know what to do. He must admit that he was angry towards Stacy for leaving him and Eli but turns out to be the way for him to know the real woman whom he truly loves. He must say that he is happy for knowing the truth from Johnny although he wanted to clear everything with Stacy. but with her status right now, it's kinda impossible.

His been driving around the central city without any set destination. he just wants to clear his mind for the time being. Johnny said that Stacy owns her life to the one who originally adopted her.

Silver! He whispered the man's name. But why? what exactly is your plan? Why do you have to use an innocent person? Ethan was in profound thought.

He took his phone but he was hesitating to call Aisha. Will he tell her about Stacy right now? But she's quite busy helping her father's business problems and according to Shawn, it was not a simple problem to deal with. It was unexpectedly complicated so they have to take it seriously. Ethan doesn't want to disturb her concentration so he decided to help Stacy until Aisha returns home.

He placed his phone back to his jacket then once again, his mind went back to Silver. What is his plan all along? He was trying to decipher everything.

It was almost seven when Silver came home from his work but he found Sherry already sleeping. He looked at her suspiciously. This past days, she's been acting weird. She's not even asking about Stacy since she came home from the hospital. did she possibly helped her escaped? He was in deep thought.

After a few minutes, the gatekeeper called him and reported that someone was looking for him and he was outside the house. Eh? A visitor at this hour? He thought.

"Who is he?" he asked. After a few seconds, the gatekeeper answered.

"Sir, his name is Liam."

What?! Silver was surprised. Why the h.e.l.l is he here? "Let him in." he said then he went down to meet him.

"Care to tell me why you're here?" Silver crossed his arm when he saw Liam got off from his car.

"Isn't it rude not to let your brother enter first?" Liam grinned as if everything is alright.

Silver rolled his eyes, "Let's drop the pretensions Liam. Just tell me why you're here."

Liam entered the house without getting Silver's permission. "Ah, I'm so hungry. Do you have some food out there?" Liam asked while walking towards the kitchen.

"So what's your problem now?" Silver was irritated but he paused when he saw a startled Sherry standing beside the fridge holding a gla.s.s of water.

"Sherry!" Silver was surprised. wait! did she possibly remembered Liam? no! he pondered.

"Silver! I'm sorry if I surprised you. I didn't know you have a visitor. Who is he?" Sherry asked innocently.

"Ah, just one of my business partners. We just need to discuss something that's why he drops by." Silver lied.

"Oh I see. please seat down for a moment. I'll get you some coffees." She smiled then she reaches the coffee maker and started to make a coffee for the two.

Silver and Liam looked at each other; eyes were obviously in dispute. After a few minutes, Sherry served them two hot coffees.

"I'll leave you two then. Sorry for disturbing you." she smiled then she left.

"Silver what is the meaning of this? Isn't she Cherry-Ann Lee? Rio's fiancée?!" Liam mumbled as soon as Sherry left.

"Ex- fiancée!" Silver glared at him.

"Yes! but what are you doing? What If she remembers everything?"

"She will never recall anything about her past, not even Rio. I already resolved that matter! She won't be a problem." Silver spoke with finality. Liam exhaled.

"If you said so." But Liam was still feeling unease. The shock that he saw from her eyes, she sure knew something.

"So tell me, why are you here?" Silver gaze at him. "Something happened in the North, am I right?"

Liam chuckled tragically. "Ah, seems like your intuition didn't rot at all."

"Tell me what happened?"

"I'm busted bro." he chuckled dolefully. "Rio found out about my secret transactions."

"What?! but how did he find out?" Silver's eyes widened.

"I didn't know how he found out but his adopted daughter, that b.i.t.c.h, blew off everything!" he clenched his fists. "Ahhh! I'll make sure she'll pay for it!" he intends to kill her; Silver can sense it in his tone.

"Adopted daughter? Was that Aisha?" Silver asked but Liam was stunned to hear him.

"You know her?" Liam didn't get a direct response but since Silver laughed satisfactory, he knew that Silver knew Aisha.

Unknown to them, someone was hiding in a corner, listening to their entire conversation. She held her breath as soon as she heard her daughter's name. no! Aisha! she yelled in her thoughts. Seems like she's in danger from this guy- Liam!
