Her face looks so pale. It's so d.a.m.n colorless and the lively eyes that she once had was nowhere to be found. It was so obvious that she's been crying for the whole day. she came down barefaced; no touch of make-up and even her long, silky brown hair was freely loosened. It's not tied anymore. Although she looks beautiful but the spark is gone.

Hunter knitted his brow. Was she that annoyed? Ah, he can't describe the aura that the woman is emitting right now. she lethargically came down the staircase but she was not looking at Hunter. She was avoiding him at all cost.

She went straight to greet Sahaya but her lifelessness is pretty obvious.

"Sahaya, what do you want to eat?" She slothfully asked. "Or do you want to play instead?"

Sahaya annoyingly twitched her lip. "Aunty, why are you so ugly? Don't you care about uncle Hunter seeing you like that?"

Sophie idly averted her eyes towards Hunter who was still standing beside Sahaya, holding a bouquet of her favorite flowers. With such emotionless gaze, she looked at Sahaya once again.

"What do you want to do today, sweetheart?" she sluggishly asked once again.

Sahaya sighed like an adult who have a very big problem.

"You really think I would want to play with a languid, broken-hearted woman? Your so boring aunty!" the little girl was upset. "Let's just eat!" she exclaimed then she held Hunter and Sophie's hands and led them in the kitchen table.

As soon as Sahaya spotted the table, she tiresomely pulled a chair for the two.

"Aunt Sophie, sit here. And you uncle Hunter, here." She pointed out the chair. Now they were sitting next each other. Hunter was surprise at Sahaya's actions. Right now, she looks like a mad little woman. he laughed within.

"Now you two talk!" she crossed her arms.

"I have nothing to say." Sophie was about to stand up but Sahaya was quick to stop her. the little girl was throwing daggers at her. Sophie jerked when she realized that she somehow upset her niece. She looks so angry right now so she sat back like a kitten who was scolded by the mother cat.

"No one will stand up until this matter is settled." Sahaya spoke with finality. "Ah! You adults are giving me a headache!" she pouted.

Unconsciously, Sophie and Hunter laughed at the expression that they saw from the little child. She speaks like a mature old woman. after a minute, they must have realized that they were both laughing so they look at each other. however, Sophie was quick to avert her gaze and went back to being a sn.o.b, again.

"Really?" Sahaya mockingly raised her brow. Then after a minute of silence, Sahaya talked to Hunter.

"So Uncle Hunter, what did you do to her? why is she acting this way, huh?"

"I don't know. I was trying to call her the whole day but she was not answering her phone so I decided to come and see her." Hunter spoke as if he didn't know anything.

Sophie rolled her eyes when she heard him. "Really, you didn't do anything? You didn't flirt with that b.i.t.c.h? Did you really forget that you have a girlfriend?" Sophie wanted to bust those questions at once but she tried to hold it in. however, her face speaks of her current emotion right now.

"Aunt Sophie, why didn't you answer his calls?" Sahaya diverted the question.

"I'm doing him a favor." She nonchalantly replied.

Hunter raised his brow and looked at the woman who was looking past Sahaya. "Sophie, can we just talk without Sahaya? Are you really going to involve her?"

But then Hunter didn't get the response that he wanted.

"Don't worry Uncle Hunter, I am a love expert." Sahaya chuckled. "Besides, both of you are worse than a mere child." She ridiculed them.

Hunter jerked embarra.s.sedly but Sophie was stubborn enough not to heed Hunter's suggestion.

"Ah! This is hopeless!" Hunter stood up disappointedly. "Sahaya, let's get you home. it's pointless to talk to someone who's not willing to open up." He emotionlessly stared at Sophie who was trying to control her tears.

Then Hunter took Sahaya's hands and walked away. The young lad was dumbfounded but she followed Hunter outside without a word.

As soon as they stepped outside, they heard Sophie's cries from the kitchen. Hunter paused for a moment while Sahaya looked at him pitifully. Her cries penetrate Hunter's ears and he can't deny the fact that his heart ached at the sound of it.

"Uncle…" Sahaya mumbles. Hunter scoffed and strides back to the kitchen. Sahaya decided to stay in the Sala to give them a little privacy.

"How long will you be like this, Sophie, huh? If there's a problem, wouldn't it be best if you tell me directly? Didn't you learn anything from our past?" Hunter burst.

But then Sophie continued to sob.

"Sophie, you of all people knew what we've been through. How misunderstandings, lack of communication and pride ruined us both. Are we going to repeat the same cycle over and over again?" Hunter continued.

Sophie shook her head. "I…I.." she was hesitating.

"What? Rikka?" Hunter growled. That woman's name must have triggered Sophie since she finally looked at him in the eyes.

"You knew isn't it? you knew that I saw both of you this morning having a romantic breakfast in your place, am I right? and you must be having fun seeing me desperately jealous over that woman right now!" she yelled.

"She came over with loads of breakfast so early in the morning, but it's not what you thought! it's not even romantic!" he explained.

"She was seducing you and your letting her do that. ah! Why am I clamoring over such things? well, if you like her then just go to her." She stood up and was about to walk away when she remembered something so she paused. "And I'm sorry if I forced you on this relations.h.i.+p."

Sophie was about to leave when she felt someone hugged her from behind.

"Sophie…" hunter's big arms cupped Sophie's thin frame. "No one forces anyone on this relations.h.i.+p."

He heard Sophie's sobbing.

"And about Rikka, I have already told her about you, about us." He continued.

"Really?" Sophie muttered and so Hunter faced the dejected woman.

"Yes." He smiled. "And just so you know, this heart only beats for a single woman and that will never change. I love you Sophie." then he captured her lips pa.s.sionately.

After a few minutes, they broke away to gasped some air. Then Hunter started to wipe her face.

"So are you good now?" he teasingly asked.

"I should have storm your shop when I saw her." she pouted.

"Why didn't you do that? I was actually expecting that." Hunter laughed.

"Because you told me before that you don't want me doing that. I was scared that you'll get mad if I bl.u.s.ter." She explained.

Hunter suddenly laughed to his heart content. He never thought that Sophie would ever back off just because he said he dislikes that kind of att.i.tude.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

"Hhha! I was joking when I said that. but I never thought you'd change that fast!"

With that being said, Sophie punch his belly. "d.a.m.n you! do you know how hard that is for me?!" she yelled.

"I know, I know, and I'm sorry." he was laughing. "I've never imagined this day would ever come but just want to let you know that the day I loved you, I have accepted everything about you." then once again, he kissed the angry woman.

Unknown to them, Sahaya was on the door post looking at them. She then scoffed while rolling her eyes.

"So are you okay now?" they heard a tiny voice. they both look at her with a smile. "Uncle Hunter, don't forget the deal." Then she walked away.

"Deal?" Sophie creased her brow. But Hunter only grinned. "Long story." He voiced.
