"Is this the Thunder steel smithy?"

"Ah, yes, help yourself in, I will be there in a second"

I heard an aged voice answer to me as soon as i entered through the door, accompanied by the sound of hammering coming through from the smithing room.

"Here am I, so what can I help you with"

A dwarf, that was my first impression as I saw the smith, however, he was quite bulky like the village head, and had a small pair of gla.s.ses on, I wondered if this species actually existed in this world.

"Uh, it's actually me, who is wondering about that, I came to help with the work smithy as a.s.signed within the request list that I received from the village head"

"Ohhhhh, that, I was wondering when someone would come, I have left that request for more than a month, thank G.o.d you came, I'm getting too old for this"

"So, what do I actually have to do?"

"I would have liked to let you rest and share a cup or two of drinks, but we have no time for this, follow me"

I followed the smith into the room he just came out from, he didn't bother asking for details so it either meant he was so desperate for help, or that he just trusted the village head this much.

"We will have to do a quick test first before putting you to actual work, try raising this hammer"

I touched the hammer slightly as 'weapon Resonance' activated on the spot.

These were all the information I could view for now, as I didn't have 'Hammer-mastery' yet, but theses information were enough for this task.

Raising this hammer may have been a ha.s.sle for the old Ian, but for the current me who satisfied the requirements, it was a piece of cake.

"Well, you seem to have enough strength for this, I guess you are pa.s.sable, you have to take care of ore refinement for the time you will stay here"

The smith pointed at an anvil in the corner which had several rough shaped iron ores at its side.

"It is quite simple, all you have to do is hammer these ores till they lost their impurities as they get adsorbed to the anvil"

It seemed that this anvil was made of a special material that helped with the refining process, which seemed quite efficient in this world where there were no iron refining factories.

I didn't question much as I already sat at the chair and started hammering, I didn't have much time to waste if I wanted to earn the smith's trust and get to do more advanced work other than this labor.

"Well, you seem quite serious about it, just call me when you are done with batch of ores, you can stay here for the night if you want"

The smith who seemed to be in hurry left, as I continued hammering for a while, it precisely took me 100 hammer strikes to remove all the impurities when I used all of my strength, which was about 10 minutes worth of work, but it seemed to take less time and strikes to get it done as I got used to it.

I realised the daily quest panel changed according to my work once again as I checked it, unsurprisingly there were only about 500 iron ores in the crate beside my works.p.a.ce, I decided to finfish them as fast as I can, even if I had to give up my sleep for tonight.

However as I continued hammering, when I did about 100 ores, I was alarmed by the system once again
