Furthermore, their bodies were covered in a dense arrangement of black scales and their sharp claws and teeth made them look especially ferocious!

“My G.o.d, a dozen Dark Dragons, quick, run quick!”

“Get into formation, quick, raise the magical barrier!”

Yang Ling observed the Dark Dragons closely while the troops and adventurers near the statue became fl.u.s.tered. Some people followed closely behind the large factions, while others chose to spread out in no particular direction. If not for the red-robed Cardinals continuously injecting Magical Energy into the barrier, the barrier would have long ago been broken.

The Dark a.s.sociation had taken action quickly. They had cast a barrier that seemed like a thick fog the moment the Dark Dragons appeared. The Dark Dragons would slow down when they got close as if they had just stepped into a marsh.

However, even if that was the case, the Dark Dragons' speed was still far superior to that of an average Magical Beast. There would frequently be Dark Knights who were at the outer perimeter of the formation who would be crushed into mush or pulled into the air and torn in two.

Unlike the Church and the Dark a.s.sociation, all of the members of the Bellimore family who were on this mission were elites who had been through hundreds of battles. They did not have a magical barrier to deal with the terrifying Dark Dragons. However, after infusing them with their Battle Energy, their sharp swords released an alarming glow of light. The Beastmen did not have magical barriers, and even though their warriors displayed alarming battle capabilities and bravery after the Beastmen priests cast the Bloodthirsty Ring of Light and Endurance Ring of Light, they still were much weaker than the Dark Dragons. Their members would be crushed into mush by the giant claws of the Dark Dragons or burnt to ashes by their flames from time to time.

Luckily for them, the Dark Dragons did not dare to get too close to them for the fear of their powerful harpoons, otherwise, the Beastmen would have suffered even heavier casualties!

The Angus family was composed completely of Undead Wizards. Even though they had no shortage of Spellcasters with powerful Magical Energy, they relied on the Zombies, Skeletons, and mutated Magical Beasts they summoned to do their close combat for them. Without the protection of the magical barrier, an ordinary troop or adventurer was definitely no match for the Dark Dragons!

“Was this the power of the level-nine Dark Dragon that is hailed as unbeatable?”

Looking at the dozen Dark Dragons circling around in the sky, looking at their giant sharp claws, tightly-knit scales, and scorching flames, Yang Ling gasped.
