To increase the persuasiveness, Yang Ling used the same story to lie to a few inexperienced fellows and spared their lives. He left a few fully conscious, clear-minded fellows, like Angel, a few dozen fellows whose souls were damaged, with muddled minds, and the rest of them, were reduced to idiots.

After all, if he were to say that the Church's army had been infected by the Zombie Poison, it would be hard to persuade people to believe him. But if he were to let those who were soul-damaged, with muddled minds to say that they did see Yang Ling purge the poison out of their bodies, then it would be more believable.
