She started humming a song, feeling much better inside and outside. Maybe, she can train herself to feel good about herself and all things in general. She will try to think positively from now on. Maybe it will help her think about her situation in a good way outside the box. If she confined herself for too long inside the box of negativity it will make her miserable. She needs to get outside that box of misery to help herself.

Today she was willing to emerge out from the darkness and plush out her nightmare once and for all. There may be times that she will feel down and not willing to face John but she will try her best to talk to him sensibly without getting into a quarrel and bickering with him.

She will try to focus on the good side one day at a time.

Two Days Later...

Early morning, Catherine was reading her text messages, which all came from John. They will be going to the clinic today for her monthly prenatal check-up. He will pick her up at 10:00 in the morning.

Catherine slowly rises from the bed and went inside the bathroom.

Done with her morning routine in the bathroom she exited the room to eat her breakfast in the dining room area.

Twenty minutes later, she was already dressed up and waiting for John in the living room.

A few moments later...

John arrived at the Mystic Bay Twin Tower to pick up Catherine and bring her to her OB-Gyn for her 7th monthly prenatal check-up. He found her in the living room looking pretty wearing her pink maternity dress. He reached for her hand and they exited the door, heading for the elevator that will take them to the ground floor.

In the parking area...

John opened the pa.s.senger door for Catherine. He a.s.sisted her until she was able to sit down on the seat comfortably. John walked to the other side of the vehicle, he climbs into the car beside Catherine, he settled himself closer to her.

"Let's go Ramon!" said John.

"Yes Boss," answered Ramon. He started the engine of the car and navigated the vehicle into the highway smoothly.

Inside the vehicle while the car was moving...

John and Catherine were both quiet. But John keeps looking at the silent woman beside him wearing a pretty pink maternity dress.

Catherine noticed his glances. "What are you looking at?" she was about to glare at him but she remembered that she needs money, therefore, she was supposed to be kind to him.

"You're looking beautiful with your baby b.u.mp, Cath," said John praising his pregnant girlfriend.

Catherine snorted not buying his pick up line. But a small smile lingers on her face. She fixed her eyes on the road, it's been a while since she was out in the open.

John placed his arm protectively on the back of the seat behind her neck. His hands were buried beneath her hair, caressing her neck.

Catherine turned her head and kissed him on the check.

His eyes blinked and opened, slowly focusing on her face. What was that? Did she just kiss him? As in? OMG! He can't believe that all of a sudden she becomes affectionate towards him. Wow! He felt elated.

He gathered her in his arms and kissed her forehead. She didn't complain.

She looked into his eyes. "Can we go to the mall after my prenatal check-up? I miss the mall, plea.s.seee?" she uttered in a pleading voice.

John smiled lovingly at his beloved Catherine. "Of course as you wish my love, yes, we will go to the mall after we're done with your check-up," he said while planting another kiss on her head. He runs his hands up and down on her arms.

Catherine wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face into his chest.

John smirked.

Ramon sneak glances in the dashcam mirror, he can't help but smile to himself, it's so nice seeing the lovers being sweet to each other, once again.

They arrived at the clinic after twenty minutes drive.

The doctors a.s.sistant took Catherine's blood pressure first, her BP is normal.

There are two pregnant women ahead of them, so the lovers waited patiently on the bench for their turn, they were so sweet to each other, they were holding hands.

John can't still believe how Catherine acted today around him. She was sweet, yielding and affectionate, very different from the previous Catherine's personality that keeps labeling him as a cheater. He was hoping that her good mood will continue in the coming days so that they can both have peace of mind for once instead of their usual bickering.

If this is a dream, he doesn't want to wake up.

The OB-Gyn's a.s.sistant alerted them as the next couple to see the doctor, finally, it's their turn.

The OB-Gyn instructed Catherine to lie down in the examination table. She performs some physical exam on Catherine.

"It's your third trimester, Catherine, at this point your baby would likely start opening his eyes, and add some weight. His rapid growth might lead to some noticeable fetal movements," explained the OB.

Catherine smiled. "He keeps kicking my tummy, Doc," she replied.

The OB was surprised when her patient was already talking. She was elated. "Wow, so you're back! I'm happy for you." She gives John and Catherine congratulatory smiles.

John smiled and nods at the OB, happiness was showing in his face.

The OB-Gyn continues examining Catherine's protruding tummy.

"Catherine you might experience backaches, heartburn and a little bit of anxiety, it's nothing to be worried about, they are just normal symptoms. We won't have an ultrasound this month since your test shows you are having a healthy pregnancy. Continue drinking your milk, your vitamins, make some walking exercise daily and most importantly do not stress yourself physically, emotionally and mentally. Stress is not good for your pregnancy and the baby," the OB reminded her.

"Okay. Doc. I will follow all your reminders," replied Catherine.

"Very good. We won't be conducting ultrasound today on your tummy. Your next ultrasound will be on your next visit on the 8th months so that we have an idea of the condition of the baby inside your womb. That's all for now, all your physical test is good today, excellent! See you next month," said the OB.

"Thank you Doc," John and Catherine said in unison.

A few moments later, they were already boarding the vehicle in the parking area.

"To the nearest mall, Ramon, because the Queen wants to visit the mall!" commanded John. He lovingly squeezed Catherine's arms.

Catherine looked at him in the eyes, amused, she was grinning.

Their eyes meet which spoke volumes.

He planted a quick kiss on her temple.

Thirty minutes later, they finally arrived at the nearest mall. Ramon parked the car in the parking area near to the main entrance.
