When Ramon saw Catherine walking towards the car, he quickly opened the pa.s.senger door for her.

"Catherine, my boss has been trying to find you for almost two hours already. He is very angry now, do you still want to go there in the Infinity Jade Tower?"

All of a sudden Ramon felt worried for the girl, although he had never seen his boss so angry before, this might be the first time. Men during extreme estate of jealousy can sometimes lose their reasoning and turn violent.

"Yes!" she answered without hesitating.

She sighed, no other way. If she won't go there now, their conflict will run deeper and more trouble ahead, she can't afford to offend him further knowing that in the past few days he had worked hard in obtaining all the requirements for their wedding.

"Such a brave girl you are! Okay, let's go!" said Ramon. He slid into the driver's seat and started the engine of the car.

Ramon was now driving the car smoothly along the highway.

"Ramon, how does your Boss behave when he is angry? Would he break and destroy things? Do you think he would hurt me physically?" there was an ounce of fear running in the tone of her voice.

Ramon glanced briefly at her worried face in the mirror dash cam.

"If he screams at you, you better don't retaliate, just keep silent, let him unleashed his anger until he calmed down. Don't douse the fire with gasoline, instead doused it with calmness and try to soften your facial expression to the point of crying. Maybe he will calm down quickly if he sees you about to cry. Then if crying won't work, you can try using your body to soothe his anger," he said while smirking.

A frown appeared on her forehead. "Huh? What do you mean by using my body to calm him down?"

Ramon grinned from ear to ear. "My G.o.d, Catherine you are such a naive girl! To say it precisely, start undressing in front of him, stripped all your clothes one by one. I am sure he will stop talking right away," his grin was now becoming a peal of full-grown laughter.

Catherine finally gets what he meant. "I understood now what you mean. Do you think it's an effective method to thwart his anger?"

"Yeah. It works on my marriage, I am sure it will also work on yours. But in my marriage it's my wife who is always nagging at me...when she is angry I will strip my clothes right away except for my underwear. When she saw me already naked she will just stop talking and smiled at me and we will end up in our room all night long. The rest is history, hahahaha," laughed Ramon.

Catherine laughed along with him. Surprisingly, she's feeling a bit better now.

"Thanks for your advice, Ramon. I will remember it. It might be handy later." She then fixed her eyes on the road ahead.

One hour later...

They finally arrived at the bas.e.m.e.nt of Infinity Jade Tower. When they were about to get out of the car, Ramon's cell phone rings.

"Yes Boss, Catherine is with me, we're already here in the parking area. She already entered the elevator..."

Catherine quickly got out of the car and went straight into the elevator. She pushed the 15th-floor b.u.t.ton and gripped hard the strap of her shoulder bag, her knuckles were now turning white.

She released a deep sigh antic.i.p.ating an epic quarrel looming ahead. Bracing for the storm, she exited the elevator and walked straight into John's flat.

The door opened right away and there he was standing right behind the door...holding a bottle of wine in his right hand.

His eyes were steel hard, and she saw anger flas.h.i.+ng in his dark orbs.

Is he drunk? She eyed the bottle, judging by the contents of the bottle he almost drained it.

"Hi...John," She was about to kiss him on his lips but he avoided her kiss and walked towards the kitchen in silent. She dropped her shoulder bag on the sofa and followed him into the kitchen.

He stood still watching her.

She sat down on one of the chairs that surrounds the table and stared at him back.

They stared at each other eyes.

"Where the h.e.l.l did you and Jerome go, Catherine!?" he finally starts talking.

She's been waiting for this, at least he's talking now, the more he talks the better it goes so that his meltdown will finish early.

"H-he brought me into one of the restaurants in the bay area because he already booked a reservation for us there."

"So do you think that it's okay for a girl like you to just go with other guys while your boyfriend has no idea where that 'other guy' brought his girlfriend to G.o.d knows where---!?"

"What if he brought you in a motel or somewhere?"

Catherine shook her head. "Jerome is not like that," she defended her suitor.

John released an acid dry laugh in the air.

"I won't tolerate my woman doing like that behind my back, Catherine!"

His jealousy rages on...

"You make me so jealous and so mad!" his voice hard and cold, his hands were now gripping hard on the chair's posts as if he wants to smash something.

"You have no idea what am thinking and feeling while you are out there having a date with another guy!"

"I'm not having a date with him. I told him that I am getting married," she said in a low voice.

"Nonsense! You are constantly pus.h.i.+ng me to the edge!"

Catherine took a deep sigh. She can't take it anymore. She started unb.u.t.toning her blouse...

John watched her movement with narrowed eyes.

Her delicate hands went to caress her neck and skimmed it over her body, her mouth slightly opened, eyes shut as if making love to herself.

"What the f.u.c.k are you doing!? Stop it, am not done unleas.h.i.+ng my anger yet...," he said, but his hard voice was already weakening.
