Lu Jinwen had one hand in his pocket, while holding his car keys with the other. Lin Xuanji had started to run, her hair flowing behind her as she ran away like a frightened deer, trying to shake him off.

Once she reached the elevator, Lin Xuanji quickly pressed the b.u.t.ton for the door to open. She ran inside in a panic, pressing the door closed frantically.

Right before the door closed, she could see him outside. He had followed her, but he walked over at his own pace. Even right before the elevator doors shut, he hadn’t sped up.
