Feng Lingxue’s lashes fluttered as she lowered her head, not saying a word.

She finally understood it all. This Xuan Mu appeared like a gentleman but he was a ruthless, vicious man. He had been thinking of getting rid of Xuan Ying all along.

Xuan Mu went forward, grasping her shoulder. “Lingxue, good job. I’m aware of your sacrifices. From today onwards, you are mine and I’ll make sure to take good care of you and dote on you.”

The corners of Feng Lingxue’s lips quirked. “But my mother is a concubine too.”

Xuan Mu was stunned, but he quickly reacted with a smile on his face. “Lingxue, you’re pure and innocent in my eyes. I’ll never go back on my words, I’ll be making you my consort soon.”

“Ha ha.” North Duke laughed out loud. “We’re going to one family soon. I hope our collaboration turns out well.”

Feng Lingxue looked at the two, feeling so disgusted by them. But she didn’t exhibit anything at all, pretending to be obedient. “North Duke, I’ve completed my mission. Where’s the person I’m looking for?”

Shocked, Xuan Mu quickly turned around to escape. The best strategy now was to retreat.

Xuan Ying’s eyes narrowed, his entire countenance dark and dangerous. Xuan Mu was really a dumb coward, he was thinking of escaping even at such a juncture?

“Young Master, please don’t move!” Ah Zhou grasped Xuan Mu’s shoulder.

She made you bring her back to your Snow Mountain Residence. She told me that you still like her, you can’t forget her. As long as she beckons to you, you’d run over to her, just like an obedient puppy.

His gaze was cold and it landed on Feng Lingxue’s face. He stretched his hand out. “Come over.”

Just two words. He wanted her to go over.

Feng Lingxue looked at the pill in Mo Mo’s hand. She knew that she had been exposed. Stretching her leg out, she walked over.

She knew that he was angry.

He would perhaps whip her, hit her, scold her, humiliated her, just like how he did before.

Xuan Ying stretched out his muscular arm, grasping her svelte waist as he pulled her into his arms.

What was wrong with him?

Why was he behaving so oddly?

Feng Lingxue wasn’t happy at all. She would rather he just hit her, scold her, than to do this.

This made her really afraid.
