Lu Yeming’s thin lips curved upwards. “You don’t have any way of contacting her? How is that possible? You’re wearing expensive clothes from top to toe, have so many expensive watches and even a Lantuo luxury car which all amount to a few hundred million dollars. Any girl with even a little bit of sight can tell that you’re no extraordinary man. How could they possibly not want to latch on to such a cash cow?”

Feng Sinan was the head of the Feng Family and was an elite in the world of business. He had a similar temperament to Gu Mohan and was talented and dignified. His handsome eyes were distant, the epitome of one who had achieved a certain standing in the world of business.

“This girl is pretty special. All the other girls flock to me but she only saw me as a driver. When I asked her for her contact details, this is what she gave me.”

Feng Sinan showed Lu Yeming the small business card. Lu Yeming glanced at it – Chat with a young, fresh university girl, for just 205 dollars an hour.

His thin lips curved into a faint smile. “There are two possibilities. One, she doesn’t fancy you. Or two, she’s playing hard to get. The first possibility is probably less likely. If it’s the second, your little heart has probably been played by this mystery girl.”

“Yeming, you really are used to being chased by women, aren’t you. Women are made from water and were born to be loved. Our ident.i.ty, money, power and status are all for them to use and squander.”

Feng Sinan walked forward as he said that and saw the wound on Lu Yeming’s chest. “Also, I guess being played is still better than being stabbed. The Lu Yeming I know would’ve never let himself be stabbed by a woman, unless you were on her bed.”

At the mention of this, Lu Yeming frowned and his aura turned foreboding.

“You should rest. I’ll take my leave first.”

Lu Yeming turned and left.

Seeing his retreating figure, Feng Sinan laughed and said, “I guess you’re pretty interested in Miss Jun. I should take a good look at her when I’m free, to see what kind of charm she has to be able to stab you in bed.”

As Lu Yeming was leaving, he heard Feng Sinan add on, “Don’t forget to help me search this interesting girl up.”

Inside the study.

Lu Yeming’s long fingers held the fountain pen as he signed his name in large letters on the doc.u.ment.

A sharp pain pierced through his heart suddenly and he slowed.

A beautiful face suddenly floated into his mind and his deep eyes turned dangerous.

“Your Majesty.” At this moment, Fan Men knocked on the door and entered, reporting to him. “I’ve found the girl you were asking for.”

Without any expression on his face. Lu Yeming continued reading the doc.u.ments. “You don’t have to report back to me. Just pa.s.s the details to Sinan.”

“Your Majesty…” Fan Men seemed to want to say something, but seemed hesitant at the same time.

Without even lifting his eyes, Lu Yeming said, “Speak.”

Fan Men could only steel himself. “Your Majesty, the girl that Young Master Feng was looking for is… Miss Jun.”

As soon as the words were out of his mouth. Lu Yeming’s hand holding the pen halted.

He lifted his eyes slowly and his dark gaze landed on Fan Men’s face. “What did you say?”

Fan Men placed the video footage from the security camera on the table. “Your Majesty, here. Miss Jun was the one who got into Young Master Feng’s car.”

Lu Yeming took a look at the video. At the entrance of the hospital. Jun Xiqing stood beside the Lantuo luxury car in a white chiffon dress and was talking to Feng Sinan. She then reached out to hand him a business card.

The person Feng Sinan was looking for was Jun Xiqing.

After a few seconds, Lu Yeming straightened his back and lifted his fingers to undo two b.u.t.tons on his s.h.i.+rt before scoffing.

He had underestimated this woman!

Lu Yeming walked to the full-length windows and kicked a chair over. With a loud bang, the chair broke against the floor. The action only served to aggravate his wound and a red stain quickly spread across his red s.h.i.+rt.

“Your Majesty, your wound has split open!”

Fan Men quickly brought out the first aid kit.

It was almost as if Lu Yeming didn’t notice the pain, as his chest rose and fell rapidly. The vein on his forehead was pulsating. He took the greatest pride in his self-restraint, but all that vanished the moment he found out that she had gone to seduce Feng Sinan.

His narrow eyes were full of darkness as his thin lips moved and he issued an order. “Destroy all the videos. Don’t let Sinan know it is Jun Xiqing.”

Fan Men froze before nodding. “Yes, Your Majesty. But we won’t be able to hide this matter forever. If Young Master Feng sees Miss Jun…”

In the hospital.

Jun Xiqing lay on the bed and stared at her brother Dongfang Yu with watery eyes.

Dongfang Yu was already awake and his life was no longer in danger. He lifted his hands to wipe Jun Xiqing’s tears away. “Don’t cry, silly girl. Brother won’t die.”

Jun Xiqing quickly covered Dongfang Yu’s mouth and said, “Brother, you’re not allowed to say the word ‘die’.”

“Alright.”

The two siblings exchanged a smile

Jun Xiqing stood up and went to find Sikong Heng. She wanted to check the health report.

Her footsteps slowly halted as she walked into the corridor. There were a group of people in front of her, led by a tall figure.

Lu Yeming.

He was here, in a black coat, with black gloves on his hands. An aura of coldness surrounded him and he was cool and elegant. As he stood there, his narrow eyes landed on her small face.

Without much of a reaction, Jun Xiqing walked past him, brus.h.i.+ng against his shoulders.

Even though Sikong Heng wasn’t around today, the report was already out. Dongfang Yu’s report was completely normal. He could leave the hospital in a few days if he was recovered.

Jun Xiqing felt extremely grateful and she went back to find her brother.

Lu Yeming was still standing in the corridor, his tall back leaning lazily against the wall as his hands were stuck into his pockets. His long legs were stretched in front of him and he looked like an international model just standing there.

This kind of man would stand out even in a crowd of thousands.

But Jun Xiqing didn’t have any intentions of being friends, or even acquaintances with the man. Without even looking at him, she walked past him.

“Ha.” At this moment, a magnetic voice sounded from beside her ears. He wasn’t being deliberately sarcastic but the words were sarcastic enough. “What, you’re pretending not to know me?”

Jun Xiqing ignored him and continued forward.

But a large palm reached over and grabbed her delicate wrist. “Show me more att.i.tude if you dare. Turn around and look at me!”

Jun Xiqing’s footsteps halted and she glanced sideways at him. President Lu, do you need me for something?”

She looked at him coldly, her gaze nonchalant.

As though she couldn’t be bothered with him.

“Jun Xiqing, I had no idea you were so good at seducing men. You’re going to abandon me now that you have a new target?”

Jun Xiqing ignored him.

What nonsense was he saying now?

“President Lu, I suggest you take a good look at yourself in the mirror. There are two words etched on your face right now – resentful lover.”
