Where did Tang Mo’er go?

Gu Mohan pursed his lips into an indifferent arch and got off the bed. He pressed on the scar on his left chest with his large palms, sweat trickling down his forehead. The throbbing pain made his skin turn pale.

It was very painful.

His body temperature started rising. As the wound had not been treated in time last night, it had become infected, causing him to catch a fever.

Gu Mohan stretched out his long legs and opened the door. He went downstairs, only to see Huo Beichen sitting on the woolen carpet. He was holding a game console in his hands and was playing a game.

“F*ck!” Huo Beichen cursed. He was about to beat the man up, only to realize it was Gu Mohan when he glanced up. He hollered angrily, “Second Brother, who made you angry? You’re venting your anger so early in the morning!”

“Let me ask you, where’s Tang Mo’er?”

“Tang Mo’er? I don’t know.” replied Huo Beichen as he looked at the maids. “Have y’all seen Tang Mo’er?”

“No, Young Master.” the maids replied respectfully.

Huo Beichen stretched out his legs and kicked the butler, ordering him, “What are you still standing around for? Tang Mo’er is missing. Go and find her!”

“Yes, Young Master.”

The butler escaped away in cold sweat. He wanted to apply for a transfer back to the Huo’s old house, this dictator was too difficult to serve.

“Second Brother, don’t panic. I’ve already ordered them to find her. Tang Mo’er can’t escape. You must have overdone it last night…”

Huo Beichen voice came to an abrupt end as Gu Mohan gave him a cold, sharp stare.

Gu Mohan frowned, his narrow eyes were just like ink that spilled everywhere in a fast motion. If she did not leave the house, then she must have been in the room.

He went upstairs once again back to his room.

There was no sign of Tang Mo’er in the big room. Gu Mohan circled around the room and locked his gaze on the balcony.

His footsteps were heavy as he pulled the curtains apart.

Tang Mo’er was sitting at the corner of the balcony, her two arms hugging her knees in a child-like position. Her eyes were closed and she was sleeping soundly.

The window had a small opening. The cold wind outside had blown against her silky hair and the ends of her skirt swayed along with the wind. She seemed so empty and otherworldly, like an ethereal presence that no one would be able to get a grip on.

Just like dark hands had pressed against his heart and twisted, Gu Mohan felt a heartwrenching pain at such a sight. Every breath he took ached and left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Stretching out his hands, he lifted her up gently.

Tang Mo’er, who was in his arms, opened her eyes slowly. Her eyes were crystal clear with no tears. However, they were not as radiant as usual. Just like a broken rag doll, it made his heart ache when they saw her in such a state.

“You have a bed, but you chose to sleep on the balcony, hm?” Gu Mohan whispered.

“I can’t sleep when you’re holding me.”

She murmured a few words, her face blank. Gu Mohan stopped in his tracks and curled his extremely dry lips. Was she going to reject him just like that?

She couldn’t sleep when he was carrying her, or when he was holding her.

Because of that, she hid in the balcony to sleep…

“Gu Mohan, let’s just break up.”

Break up?

Gu Mohan looked at the pale and sick face in his arms and replied immediately, “No.”

Tang Mo’er laughed, “I’m only informing you about our break up. My dad is coming to pick me up.”
