In fact, he did not need to get married to any woman who was from a wealthy family. All he needed was someone who could fulfill his desires.

Due to the trauma from that kidnapping incident, he had no interest in women, let alone interested in any kind of relations.h.i.+p with one at all. He was not interested in Qi’er either. Gu Mohan took the gla.s.s of red wine and glanced discreetly at Fu Qinglun’s trousers.

Fu Qinglun rolled his eyes at the two of them. “I’ll leave matters here to the both of you. I’m leaving first.”

Amidst the jokes which Gu Mohan and Huo Beichen made, he headed directly to the room.

He opened the room door and walked inside, only to be greeted by a delicate figure walking out of the bathroom. He glanced at Lin s.h.i.+yu, only to be greeted by a sight that shocked him. His throat turned extremely dry momentarily and his hands in his pockets tried to contain the raging desire as it reared its head in her presence.

Lin s.h.i.+yu had worn a red, lacy nightdress that moulded over her delicate body, making her look just like a rose which had blossomed in the spring. She was simply too beautiful for words. Dark silken hair fell across her shoulders like streams of ink. She had taken a bath and her innocent looks were hidden among the steam. Her beauty was simply captivating.

Although he was standing far away from her, he could smell the fragrance of her body from afar .

As he stared at her, his powerful waist was burning with desire to the point it was starting to turn numb.

“Young Master Fu, I was reluctant to marry you so I won’t fulfill my wifely duties. Is it fine if you take the bed while I take the sofa tonight?”

He raised his eyebrow and did not say anything but headed for the bathroom.

By the time he had finished taking a quick cold shower, she had already fallen asleep on the sofa.

Both her thighs were pressed together so tightly there was no gap in between.

She was so naive to have thought that he would agree to what she had proposed.

How was it possible? Ever since he was 22 years old, or perhaps even earlier, he had always dreamed of her slender legs wrapped around his waist. How could he let her off that night?

Now that he had married her, he had to have her.

With his eyes black with need, he strode over to the sofa and pinned her onto the sofa.

At that moment, he was somewhat unconscious, as though he was possessed. The taboo at the bottom of his heart brought him back to many years ago by that river with Lu Qi’er. It felt as if they had reunited.

He immediately got up and stared at the doctor with bloodshot eyes. “How is she?”

The doctor took off his mask, “Madam Fu, Young Master Fu, Mrs Fu experienced a miscarriage. The baby boy was about four weeks old. Mrs Fu had bled in the early stages of pregnancy which were signs of threatened miscarriage. However, the child was extremely strong and we had managed to keep the baby. However, it seems Mrs Fu was too emotionally distressed today. I am sorry, we weren’t able to save the child in the end.”

Fu Qinglun remembered a while ago when Lin s.h.i.+yu had mentioned her period had come. In actual fact, it was a sign of threatened miscarriage.
