He lifted his eyes, asking her, “Are you okay?”

Tang Mo’er was astonished, she remembered that Huo Beichen wasn’t fond of her, but now he was actually showing her concern?

Tang Mo’er was taken aback and she took a few secret glances at Huo Beichen.

Huo Beichen quickly pursed his lips, his face getting tense while she studied him. Things got a little awkward. “Where’s Second Brother? Is he okay?”

Oh, so he rushed over for Gu Mohan.

It was just daybreak, around seven in the morning and Huo Beichen was the first to arrive in the valley. Judging from his tired appearance, he must have noticed Gu Mohan was missing and started searching since last night, and probably hadn’t gotten much sleep.

He changed his partners as frequently as he would change his clothing and was experienced in those matters. From the looks of it, she must have slept with his second brother last night.

Huo Beichen warned himself in his mind in order to suppress his feelings.

Tang Mo’er was p.i.s.sed off by his remarks, she puffed up her cheeks and reb.u.t.ted, “I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong, Young Master Huo. You’re just being hostile because you have something against me.”

Huo Beichen grimaced. “Tang Mo’er, how dare you argue with me!”

He gave her a forehead flick.

She quickly got up, running beside her and scowled at Huo Beichen defiantly.

Huo Beichen wasn’t a pushover, he reciprocated with a fierce glare.

But Huo Beichen suddenly felt a blood-curdling stare landing on him. Gu Mohan was glaring at him.

Gu Mohan was clad in a white s.h.i.+rt with trousers, since his right arm was injured he had his sleeves rolled up and revealed his golden-tanned arm. He stood tall with both hands in his pockets, watching Huo Beichen.

His gaze was scary, just like an x-ray that could scan through all of his thoughts just by studying his face.

Tang Mo’er hid behind Gu Mohan, his broad shoulders had s.h.i.+elded her from the world, hiding her beauty away for himself only.
