Lu Yan knew it, she cared a lot about the diamond ring he wore around his neck. He stretched out his large hand, ruffling her hair. “An’an, give me a little more time.”

“I can give you some time, but,” An’an came up on her tiptoes and continued, “Answer me, are you… Blood Eagle?”

That was her second time asking him.

An’an looked at his tall build. She knew that he had his reasons for not telling her. But she would find him one day.

There was a car parked outside of the Underground Palace, it was sent by Gu Mohan especially for An’an.

Lu Yan hadn’t gone out, but rather, hid in a dark corner. He let go of her hand. “Get in the car.”

An’an looked at him, her eyes crinkling into a smile. “I’m leaving.”

Lu Yan nodded. “Mm.”

An’an got in the car and the window wound down. She waved at him before the car sped away.

Like that, she had left.

Lu Yan watched as the luxury car sped away, disappearing before him.

With both hands in his pockets, he didn’t leave. He just stood there, lowering his head, his heart feeling somewhat empty. He felt like his heart was emptied out once she had left.

He didn’t know, he wasn’t certain if a person like him who could only stand in a dark corner, was fit to have her. She was someone who wouldn’t have to hide around.

He actually wanted to head outside just now.

To send her off.

To pull open the door for her, to bend over and plant a kiss on her forehead, to stand under the sun and kiss her.

Lu Yan lifted his eyes. It was drizzling outside.

Now that it was already late into fall, the rain would cause the temperature outside to fall even more, especially at night. Lu Yan stood along the corridor, his s.h.i.+rt billowing out because of the wind and he had both hands in his pockets. His tall figure appeared a little lonely.

As the rain fell harder, he didn’t know how long he stood there. After a long while, he finally turned around, preparing to enter the Underground Palace.

But just after taking one step, he heard a tender voice. “Hey, Lu Yan.”

Lu Yan was stunned, he instantly turned back to check.

The luxury car had returned and An’an was standing in the rain, lifting her head to look at him.

She had returned.

She had actually returned!

Lu Yan’s face turned somber, he walked over to stand in front of her. “Little rascal, you’re itching for a beating?”

Her black dress had been soaked in the rain. He stretched out his hand, grasping her wrist before pulling her underneath the shelter.

One corridor separated the rainy world outside. Though it wasn’t a warm place to hide from the rain, the atmosphere had been warmed up because of them.

Lu Yan pushed her against the wall, looking at her drenched skirt as he lectured her, “Why did you come back after leaving? Is it really fun to stand in the rain?”

An’an lifted her eyes to look at him. “I was looking at you from inside the car, you didn’t leave.”

“Can’t I enjoy the breeze?”

He removed his black s.h.i.+rt and berated her, “Take off your dress, put on my s.h.i.+rt now. Remember to ask the chauffeur to turn on the heater in the car, if you catch a cold I’m going to teach you a lesson!”

He removed his black s.h.i.+rt and was only left with a white singlet. He only had a cheap white singlet on but with his bulging muscles, he appeared brawny and even more masculine.

An’an blushed. They were standing in a corridor and though it was a dark corner, it was possible for people to walk past and see them.

“I’m afraid that someone will walk by and see me.” She stretched out her hand and pushed his chest.

Lu Yan stretched out his hand, ripping her dress into two halves. When she felt the breeze on her skin, An’an hissed and fell into his arms.

With her body scent traveling in his nose and her fair skin in front of him, Lu Yan’s breathing hastened. His facial expression turned somber as he quickly put the black s.h.i.+rt on for her to cover up her body. He did so while cursing, “Little La.s.s, you only know how to torture me.”

He put on the s.h.i.+rt for An’an and his body warmth still remained on his s.h.i.+rt, including his masculine body scent. It tugged at her heartstrings, even though she continued to whine at him, “You’re not allowed to use vulgarities.”

What Little La.s.s? She wasn’t one!

His black s.h.i.+rt was extremely huge on her, it went all the way down over her knees and was so baggy. An’an suddenly made a sound. “I have a leg cramp.”

“You’re so troublesome.” Lu Yan complained but he still bent down, holding onto her calf as he ma.s.saged it. “Where is it? Here?”

“Yeah, right there.”

Lu Yan was ma.s.saging her calf, it was slim and slender, not even as thick as his forearm. He ma.s.saged it carefully, afraid that he would snap her calf by accident.

“Lu Yan, I’m fine now, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”

Lu Yan then stood up. “Hurry up and go home.”

He held her hand and took her outside.

“Hey!” An’an came up on her tiptoes and encircled his neck with her arms, looking at him coyly. “You’re so senseless, just like a piece of wood. Do you know what couples should do when they leave each other? Kiss me here.”

She pointed at her own cheek.

An’an tilted her head, thinking about it before she laughed. “Not exactly because of this, what’s more important is, it’s not you sending me off but rather… me sending you off. Furrowing his brows, he tried to hide his emotions but those bulging muscles betrayed him. “Ha.” He let out a chuckle. “You’re still claiming that it’s not because of this? I see you need a lesson.”

With that, he kissed her on the lips again.
