After finis.h.i.+ng the prototype for the Yin-Blade, Eisen moved on to the next item. He wasn't actually able to test the Yin-Blade out, but judging from the name of the item that was display in the notification before he was pulled out of his Deep Visualization, 'Size-Changing Greatsword', Eisen figured that it should work out at least somewhat. He was able to re-do enchantments as much as he wanted anyway, so he would try these enchantments out with a few other items before placing them onto the blade, and then it would probably work out just fine after Eisen could figure out in what ways they were issues with what Eisen was planning. Either way, now that he created the item in his Deep Visualization state already, the size-changing effect would probably just end up stronger as well.

But now, Eisen wanted to work on the next item, the tools that he wanted to make out of his Yang-Metal. And in this case, it was plural, because Eisen did really want to make multiple tools out of it, although it was still supposed to be part of one singular item, so that he would be able to increase the level of all of his tools at once when he turned it into an Ego-Item. For that, Eisen would need to create either something like a Toolbelt, or a mult.i.tool. He was rather leaning toward the latter, because a Toolbelt seemed like it was really just supposed to be the container that was holding tools rather than the tools itself. So then, Eisen just needed to figure out how to create a good, proper mult.i.tool.

He already had a few ideas, but it was a bit complicated and maybe wouldn't really work all that well at all. As it would probably end up being his most bulky tool, Eisen wanted the base of it to be just a Hammer, because it might give him the most s.p.a.ce to play around with. And especially for this, Eisen was getting heavily inspired by Fluke's items and mechanisms, because they usually ended up being a lot bigger than they look. According to the warforged, this was done with the help of a few different gems, although the most important part about it was that it was created using a Spatial-Gem Tipped tool.

Eisen wasn't aware of that up until then, but it seemed like it was possible to create stronger effects if you created different enchantments using specialized gems that were connected to that enchantment. Because Fluke only had access to a tiny bit of a Spatial Gem, he only had that tool and had to figure out how to best use it for what he wanted to do, and through that seemed to have reached a point where he was very proficient at creating items that were actually larger than they looked from the outside.

But for now, Eisen quickly created the tool that he would build everything around, a simple chisel. The Hammer-Shape was simply supposed to be the shape that the whole multi-tool would have when fully 'placed together'. But he needed to start at the smallest base step.

It was the same principle as Matryoshka dolls, where everything was just layered on top of each other. So, Eisen quickly created a simple chisel with a proper handle, so far not wrapped in leather, and a regular old thin tip. And then, Eisen created the next item that would be placed on top of that chisel, the blade of a knife.

And it really was just a blade this time around, as if someone just removed it off of a knife in a straight cut. Where the handle would usually be attached, Eisen created a small hollow opening that the chiselhead would fit in perfectly, and then created a smaller version of the same magnetism enchantment that Eisen placed on top of his Golems' joints so that he could properly keep the blade in its place when it was put on top of it. Eisen would place maybe a small soul-generator into the handle later to keep them running at all times, because that was supposed to be the base-state. Connected.

Eisen added a bit of a function to it where he could disable the magnetism for a moment to be able to pull the blade off again, otherwise it would just end up stuck on there forever, considering the strength and stability Eisen wanted the blade to have when he needed it.

And then, Eisen created another, larger handle, hollowed out so that it could just be placed on top of the smaller handle, and then got to work on the next layer of the tool, the actual hammer. Considering that the hammer was supposed to be able to be able to turned into other states as well, Eisen created it out of a few different pieces, one of them being the central base that wouldn't change at all when it was in this 'large tool' state.

So, Eisen quickly made another enchantment in the same fas.h.i.+on as in the blade, hollowing out a bit of the central base so that Eisen could just push the base on top of the knife and connect it to the larger handle to close the whole thing up.

And then, Eisen had to figured out a good way to be able to switch between the different states, and in the end chose to just have it be something that could be done manually by pulling everything into the right position by hand.

So, Eisen quickly put the different smaller pieces together into the two larger pieces, and then attached them to a bit of a 'rotation' mechanism on the base while locking it in certan places, which would allow for four different states to be achieved.

When both the larger pieces were in the 'needle' or 'pick' shape both were pulled to opposing sides of the base and set in place there, it would become a pickaxe. Then, the picks could be folded up to be flatter, and if they were then pulled to the same side and connected to each other while being horizontal to the vertical handle, then it would be a hoe.

If they were then twisted so that the 'blade' part of it would be vertical to the vertical handle, it would be an axe, if everything was really properly set in place and sharp enough. And if that axe-blade was pulled to the top of the base and the different pieces were set in place to be more round, it would become a shovel.

Of course, trying to figure this out so that it worked properly took Eisen a few hours on its own, but soon enough, he managed to do it, even if it wasn't directly the most perfect solution. He had enough time to work through all of this a few more times, so that wasn't an issue, however.

Either way, when the two different main pieces were pulled to opposing sides of the base again and then folded up properly, everything would set in place to turn into the hammer-state.

And the larger handle that Eisen could place over the smaller one for the Knife and Chisel-state was also a bit switched up, and the piece that could be seen from the outside there was actually hollow with a spiral inside of it along the inner walls, and Eisen simply screwed another thinner handle into that so that he could just pull it out if he needed a longer handle.

The last part that Eisen needed to do was now actually also rather simple and easy compared to the mechanism for the four larger tools that he integrated into this single one, which was just the small compartment inside of the Hammer's base for needles. He only really needed needles at this point in time as one of those smaller tools, so that's the only compartment he needed to make. And for that, Eisen took a small, thin square of metal base and made small holes with spirals on its inner walls so that he could screw in the heads of a few needle into there, which he would specially make to have that kind of needlehead, so that he could just push them into the holes that Eisen made inside of the spot where the metal square was taken out of. And after finis.h.i.+ng thsoe needles, Eisen was done with this version of it, and swiftly saw this whole mult.i.tool as finished while it was in its Hammer state with all of the different parts inside and on it, and before he knew it, some notifications appeared in front of him and he was back outside of his Deep Visualization state.

[You have Mentally Gone through the process of creating a Complex Mult.i.tool. If you now actually create a Tool like this, it is easier to reach a higher quality rating and achieve better effects]

[Crafter's Mind reached Level 100 in Rank 1, Upgrading to Rank 2]

[Your mind can handle more information at once, +10% Benefit to all abilities connected to this skill]

[Due to Ranking-up your Crafter's Mind Skill, you gained +1 INT and +1 WIS]

With a smirk on his face, Eisen sighed out for a few moments, happy that the Mult.i.tool was accepted as a proper item on top of ranking up this one of his skills, and then checked his quest status. He was now about ten hours into just working on the tools, and everyone else seemed to be currently asleep, so Eisen himself also just went back into his deep visualization state, returning to practicing and improving on the concept for the Mult.i.tool.

The Greatsword he made before was rather straigthforward, and he didn't really feel like having it be something like this that could switch what it was either, so he didn't need to keep practicing it inside of here, but for now Eisen just wanted to repeat everything for the Mult.i.tool from the grounds up with the knowledge about the mistakes that he made last time.

"Really, this is incredibly useful, isn't it..?" Eisen muttered to himself quietly, really happy that he didn't have to waste any materials at all in the process of all of this, before also taking a look around himself, noticing that the room he was in was now just a fair bit larger, probably as an effect of the Skill's Rank-Up.

With a smirk on his face, Eisen just continued on and returned to making the Mult.i.tool again, as he had planned, and after a few hours, he managed to do so easily and even enchanted the tool a bit more heavily, and this time around when finis.h.i.+ng the creation and left the Deep Visualization state again, a different notification popped up in front of Eisen.

[You have Mentally improved upon the process of creating a Complex Mult.i.tool]

"Hmm... Well, fair enough, I shouldn't have expected another bonus." Eisen sighed slightly disappointedly, and then simply returned back into Deep Visualization before working on one more improvement for the Mult.i.tool, which was to give it the same size-changing effect as the Greatsword that he made for himself. And considering all the other enchantments Eisen already placed on top of the different parts of the mult.i.tool to make everything work properly, this was far more complex and tough to do than Eisen wanted it to be in any situation, but luckily, he managed to finish everything up before long.

The whole thing was covered in enchantments at every single part of it, which Eisen might need to work on to make it a bit nicer to look at, but he might be able to get Evalia's help with that again. She always happily helped him out with that, after all. Sometimes, it at the very least partially seemed to be so that she could suck up to her boyfriend's grandfather, but that's nothing that Eisen was worried about. As long as she treated his grandson right, why wouldn't he enjoy being sucked-up to?
