From now on, all he can do is… Allen reached over and gently placed a kiss on her forehead. He didn't answer her; there is no need. After he broke that gentle kiss on her head, Allen immediately left the room. He quickly sped down the hallway, 'Once again, it seems like all he can do is run away.' She has so many questions for him, but he has no answers. At least no answers that she would want to hear.

____

Following Morning - 7:30am

It's all revolving around her.

All revolving around her - with her in the center of it all.

That's what makes it the most frightening.

"I know, Kazuya is here with me now, so you don't have to worry," Lyn laughs, " Ah, you will still worry, either way, I see. It's alright, the other day I briefly met that person too. Un, he's a very strange person like you said. But he seems kind I can see how he also broke through your exterior," Lyn closed her eyes briefly, "I'm alright, brother. I'll decide soon; please wait until then."

After she finished, she closes her message crystal.

She took a deep breath as her violet orbs lands on the ocean in front of her. She decided it would be best to stay until Kazuya finished and came to fetch her. So, Lyn lounged around in her room.

Lyn leaned on the railing, deep in thought.

That person really worries too much. Then again, it's surprising enough that Zepher is allowing this much.

Lyn extends her palm out, she can sense it far better than others, and that's why…just for a little while longer. She has to hold on.

For just a bit longer,

To her surprise, someone claps their hands against hers, " Although you do look like a princess no matter what attire you wear. Having such a dazed expression on your face is hardly elegant."

Lyn laughs, "I see how it is, Little Arthur."

At that comment, Arthur's face breaks into a sweat, "It's enough that Prince Ralph still calls me that. But you also…"

"Fuu, then you should have broken it to him."

She turned to face the person; it was none other than Arthur himself. Someone whom she had also known in childhood. It wouldn't be a stretch to call him one of her childhood friends.

"It's rare seeing you in such colours," Arthur commented.

Lyn's gaze fell on her outfit. So many people have commented on that. Is it that strange to see her in red?

"Perhaps that's true. But Zepher sent me this over. I can't not wear it, "she trails off, " Besides, he did the hand-st.i.tching on her own…I'm worried about her hands."

Such a grand and extravagant outfit. One didn't have to be a genius to know he worked on it himself.

"That's true….."

"Even so, you came here pretty quickly. Finished your business with Allen?"

Arthur nodded and ma.s.saged the temple of his forehead with his fingers. "But after staying up endlessly for weeks now. I must say that even I am losing some of my energy."

Ah, she indeed spottrf the tired features of his expression right away. Oh, he has grey eye bags; it's an unusual sight for him. Lyn reached over and patted his hair, "There there."

"You really don't change. No matter how much time pa.s.ses," Arthur mumbled. "Still a strange kid."

Lyn smiles, " Did you want me to change so badly?"

"Heh."

..

In the end, the two of them sat down on the bench, right beside the railing area, which gave them a perfect view of the ocean. Not too far from them was the indoor stadium venue where a major compet.i.tion will take place.

Today, again, a vast majority will compete, but the ones in the center of everyone's attention is Kazuya and Rhys match. It's still quite odd that those two ended up paring up with each other even though it was quite apparent that they'd do so eventually.

Their personalities clash quite often, that's probably why she was finding it difficult to picture. But then again, the same went for Mother and Father, yet they somehow managed to work it out. Mother didn't like father at the start either... At least that was the story she heard.

Pupillam too disliked Rhys and Kazuya, but things differ now. That's right; there seemed to be this silent tension amongst everyone before.

But now everybody is together. There are no longer signs of such things anymore.

They are all s.h.i.+ning brightly now that they've come together. Yet, something is missing still.

"You seem distracted," Arthur commented.

"Ah…" she trails off, "No, I'm just thinking back to what happened then.."

What is she doing? She sounds stupid. Clearly, Arthur could see right through her, "There is no need to pretend. You're worried about them, are you not? You thought they'd be able to achieve things if you remained distance. Yet even with that, they're finding it difficult to do."

Lyn averts her gaze, "…I knew it would be difficult. But…". The fact that there's barely any light showing, she was worried.

"The stages of magic. Females have quite a few, but the one that is commonly known is the angel light magic. Yet, those fall under categories too. For males, it is the color they emit, their natural aura - silver, gold, and platinum. Yet they cannot even achieve that much correct?" Arthur clarified.

Lyn managed a nod, "It's still different for male magic. It has not evolved as much yet. It's still not up to match. No, they were up to match during mother's generation. Yet now there are no signs of it at all. Mother knew that it would diminish once she's gone, and that's why she left that role to me. I didn't think I'd find anyone. Yet, one by one, I gathered them all together."

She didn't think she could fulfill the task, especially with her current situations. But gradually, Lyn came into contact with those whom she believed could carry it out.

"I want to shape it, even if I have to do so as a Princess."

Arthur listened to her without interrupting until that comment, " I see. I wonder why you did nothing right away. Your insecurities and fears aside. It was because of this promise…for their sake."

Lyn closes her eyes and opens them again. " Initially, I had every intention of just gathering them, and once they got started. I was supposed to leave. Because me staying beside them would hinder their growth, not help. Yet, along the way, I became far too attached…and as a result, everything right now is a mess."
