Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams 405 Drop Of Blue Ink Part 2

After Lyn struggled with it again by herself, she grew increasingly restless. Watching Rhys relax made her grow even more frustrated.

"Even though he's smarter than me, he holds himself back like an idiot. Maybe all this holding back has actually made him stupid. I mean, he talks more with his fists than words… I can't believe he beat somebody else up in public like that…"

"Heh... You talk alot.."

Lyn realized what she ended up saying and covered her mouth. Oops... she was saying what she was thinking out loud...! Uh oh, this is bad. Stupid big mouth, why didn't she keep quiet?

"It-it's nothing now!"

The girl tried to make her escape, yet he grabbed hold of her arm, "Hmm. You're lying. Did I hear correctly? You were saying bad things about me."

Although he was still half asleep, he had heard quite clearly what the girl said about him. Though that was the case, Rhys didn't recall telling her anything about that matter. Must have been that pesky brother of hers. Rhys didn't understand Lyn's eldest brother very well. There are occasions where it feels like the man is trying to set him up with Lyn.

It's true Kazuya's status doesn't match with Lyn's. However, Rhys didn't think they would try to set them up together. The reason why he came over here was because his room genuinely needed fixing. Still, Rhys didn't think Lyn was studying over here. The one who gave him this tip is her eldest brother.

"I. .didn't do it on purpose," Lyn shyly looked down. The girl hesitantly drew her hand back, "-also, you seem to have a fever. I think you should get someone to check..."

When he saw the look on her face, a sly smile appears on his face. Suppose it can't be helped. She really is helpless without him. "Very well. Give that to me."

Lyn at him clearly surprised, "Huh?" she blinked, confused.

"Well, hurry up before I change my mind."

Rhys felt very tired; his entire body felt terrible all over. However, he couldn't exactly watch Lyn suffer. Rhys wanted to help her from the very beginning, but he felt a splitting headache.

"Y-yes," Lyn said, immediately handing him the stuff. After a while, though, Lyn mumbled,"…You don't have to redo everything voluntarily..."

Currently, Rhys was going over the girl's answer with a pen. It's not like she made many clumsy mistakes. Her way of handling these problems despite n.o.body educating her properly was very good. This girl isn't a genius like Kazuya. She has many shortcomings. However, she isn't an average person either.

Rhys sighed, "... It's impossible for you to not worry about this problem."

Lyn gave him yet another puzzled look, yet he didn't bother explaining. There isn't a need to, after all. The entire time he answered the problems, Rhys kept an eye on her. Dark circles under her eyes, and she looks thinner than before.

Amazing. Even though these problems are advance, he did them so fast. Then again, if she thought about it carefully, he is the captain. So his grades ought to be good for him to get the position. Then does that mean he is better? One wouldn't think so. Still, Lyn found herself observing him a lot more these days. That's why she understands; this person is a lot more than meets the eye.

"Why are you making that foolish face?" Rhys suddenly said.

Again with the insult. Then again, she did interrupt his nap, so she supposed this was somewhat normal.

"Uhm, thank you very much! A little while ago, I'm sorry for saying such rude things," Lyn quickly apologized. While she usually hated being the first person to apologize. Since he sincerely helped her, she won't act unreasonably this time.

Rhys nodded before pausing, "I just wanted to let you know, your thoughts are very shallow. It doesn't matter anyway."

Lyn sighed when she hears his response. Why does he act this way whenever she replies sincerely? It made little sense to her. Rhys supposedly had feelings for her. He loves her, doesn't he? But, the way he shows his love is very peculiar.

'If he can do something like this. Why does he hold back?' Everybody thinks Kazuya is the genius. Indeed Kazuya is intelligent and he can do anything easily. However, she's always felt that Rhys won't lose out to Kazuya. Lyn frantically shook her head when she realized what she was thinking.

"I'm tired."

Lyn looked over at Rhys, puzzled. He's tired? And..

"While your cute when you're oblivious, there has to be a limit. My arm is tired; you should do something about it."

Ah, so that's what he meant. Lyn closed the book and placed it on the table. She positioned herself right beside him. "How about this?"

"Are you a fool?" Rhys suddenly muttered.

"Eh?"

"You're crazy, aren't you?" he kept shaking his head frantically. "Princess Lyn - no, you're majesty, soon you will take the throne. If you continue acting this way, people will take advantage of you."

"Don't make me sound like a fool!"

"Who isn't a fool? You're a huge fool, Lyn," he grabbed hold of her wrist and tightened his hold. "What are you thinking? Why did you stay here with me? Don't you know what happens whenever we are left alone together?"

Lyn, however, didn't back down and glared at him. "You're always like this; you always act unreasonably. Just now, what was the point in saying such insulting sounding words?"

She's had enough of him. Why does he act this way? "You claim you like me, but whenever we're alone together. You act so cruelly towards me!" Lyn exclaimed. "I don't know what your thinking Rhys. But, do you think I'd let you continue to walk over me like this? Don't make me laugh; I'm not that easy to trick."

It's not like she was asking him to treat her the same way Kazuya or Allen does. People have many different ways of showing their affection. But Rhys cruel words and actions are too much.
