Rhys, however, couldn't let this woman know the truth. Princess Kaede came here for the inspection most-likely. If that's the case, then everything he says and does she will report it. For a while, it seems like he will have to distance himself from meeting Lyn in the open. Rhys knew he couldn't completely cut himself off from meeting her.

He felt Kaede place kisses on his neck, and he sighed. "Let's go inside; we shouldn't do this here."

"Fine, but Rhys. You're more attached than I thought."

"I told you already; she means nothing to me."

"Then prove it."

At that comment, Rhys knew better than to say anymore. He scooped the girl up in his arms and turned on his heel to leave. He should finish this quickly. However, the moment he picked her up, Kaede's arms went around his neck again, and she leaned forward. Rhys bent down and kissed her. Rhys did not know how long he kissed her for, but he knew someone saw.

If Lyn hears about this, would she get hurt?

.....

3:00 am

Is Lyn fast asleep yet? Rhys quickly stood up and got dressed. It won't do any harm to check on her, besides a quick peek will do. He glanced over at Kaede, who was fast asleep on the bed. The sweat still clung to his body and traces of what they did. He wanted to erase all the evidence before he met with Lyn again. However, 'it's already late, he doesn't want to miss her.'

He quickly made his mind up and bolted out of doors. It should be fine; she won't notice. He doubts Lyn is even awake now. It didn't take long for Rhys to arrive at the girls, then again, he developed a shortcut to come here as quickly as possible.

It was quiet as ever, Rhys stepped into the courtyard. A place like this doesn't suit her, it's beautiful and enchanting - but it's far too lonely.

Earlier, it felt like he heard her voice; she was asking for someone. The message wasn't for him, specifically. However, he felt the pain behind her emotions. He wanted nothing more than to leave Kaede earlier and go to her. However, he saw the dangerous look in the woman's eyes.

Rhys crossed the courtyard quickly and eventually arrived in front of the girl's chambers. The outside looked dreary and abandoned, like it usually did. Large cobwebs hung across the roof, and the roof looked like it would collapse. Rhys paused and examined the damage. It seems like decorating the inside interior alone won't do any good. He ought to do something about the outside too, Rhys reached out and opened the door, but the moment he did - the door fell apart.

He swiftly dodged the broken door that fell on the ground with a thud. Lyn needs a new door, too. It would be unsafe to leave it this way, but he can deal with it later. He wanted to make sure Lyn was okay. As Rhys entered the room, though, he noticed how quiet it was and frowned. Is she even here? He opened the curtain to her bedroom chambers, only to find her bed empty.

Did she leave? But it is the middle of the night. Silvers words echoed in his head, causing him to frown. After that discussion, Lyn won't do anything dangerous without telling him first, will she? Rhys looked around the room and noticed her robes scattered on the bed. Maybe -- he looked over towards the other door and heard faint splas.h.i.+ng sounds.

"Lyn?" Rhys mumbled.

_____

A certain black-haired Princess sat in the bathtub, surrounded with warm water. The warm water wrapped around her body soothed her, which was perfect. Her current emotions felt like a storm. Why was she bathing randomly at 3:00 am? Lyn felt restless and could not get to sleep. The image from earlier replayed in her mind.

Lyn didn't know what was getting into her. But after she saw that sight earlier, it bothered her greatly. Was it her mistake to go back? Who was that girl? Rhys was kissing her. Doesn't he usually avoid kissing girls he doesn't like, and treat as a toy? So does that mean Rhys also has someone special to him like Kazuya? A deep sigh escaped her lips as she buried her face in the water. The water felt refres.h.i.+ng, and Lyn thought back to the recent events. What is she trying to do?

Her relations.h.i.+p with Kazuya is indeed turning out badly these days. She feels closer to Rhys than she does Kazuya. However, in the end, is she close to them both? As Silver said, she shouldn't forget that they are the enemy. The Sound Kingdom, even after so many months have pa.s.sed, they have not made a proper move yet. Did those people give up? Or could they simply be waiting until the mess with her sister is over?

She did not know what to think anymore. If those two became her enemy, Lyn knew she would hesitate to fight them. Is there no other way, can they not stand on the same side? Even though Rhys dislikes her mother and holds a grudge, he did nothing then.

His wounds from last time, Lyn wondered if it was okay now. That person, it seems like he is on her mind a lot more these days.

But, he-- does he truly know what it means to like her? Lyn knew that Rhys cared about the mission more than anyone. He sent her to Zepher without hesitation. Still, can she use that to decide whether or not he is a good person? Lyn no longer wanted to make mistakes when it came to her faith and belief in other people. How many times has she pushed people away because of her small-minded belief?

She no longer wants to hurt them. Her thoughts broke off when the doors slid open, revealing a man with red hair, "Lyn?"

Why is Rhys-- Lyn immediately grabbed the towel and covered her chest. Why did he burst in here? Or rather, he has an odd look in his eyes. For a few seconds, n.o.body spoke when Rhys suddenly sighed.

"What's wrong with you? If you are here, you should say something."

Lyn sensed his annoyed tone and frowned. Wait, why is he blaming her for? She quickly realized the situation. Right now, she is the most vulnerable, and there is n.o.body around but Rhys. Does she trust him not to do anything? The answer is no - look how he acted earlier.

"Hey, what's with you? Did you turn into a mute?" Rhys urged her to speak. He reached his hand over, "Did you lose your voi--"

She harshly cut him off and screamed, "Get out!"
