Chapter 127

Tang Hu came to this party only because of his grandmother. She was insisting for him to come to this party. He respected her very much so he couldn't deny her. 

Initially, he was suspicious of his grandmother's motive as to why his grandmother was making so much effort so that he would show up here. He also knew Tangning didn't like to hold a big party for her birthday, a normal friends' party would be enough for her. However, he soon found out that it was definitely not the case this year.

Earlier when the waiter missed his step and fell causing the drinks to spill on Mo Xingjuan this was because at that moment, Shen Manting was clinging onto Tang Hu and he irritatingly pushed her away. Shen Manting was so angry seeing Tang Hu's cold and distant behaviour towards her. So to take out her frustration, she pushed the waiter who was pa.s.sing nearby, who in the end, wound up falling and spilling drinks onto Mo Xingjuan.

Initially, Tang Hu wanted to leave from this party, but when he saw Mo Xingjuan's behavior towards the waiter and claimed it was her own behavior towards the caused of the accident just like a true lady from an aristocratic family, his interest was piqued.

Even though he still didn't want to bother about her since it would be troublesome. That was until he heard Tangning's voice when she called out to this young lady as 'Mo Xingjuan'. That's when Tang Hu turned and looked towards the very lady who had not only gave off the grace and respectfulness of a true lady but also had shown enough guts to reject him!

Since then the interest raised even further in his mind to know her more and then he decided that it was time to deal with Shen Manting.

Back to the present…

"You are right, it was Miss Mo who had pushed over the tower of gla.s.ses and made them spill all over Miss Shen." Tang Hu said nonchalantly.

Mo Xingjuan's eyes widened as she looked at him in disbelief, as she was so shocked to hear his words. How could he say that? It was clearly he who had pushed her and now he was blaming her? Now she was thinking she had made the right choice by rejecting him. Why the heck would she accept this shameless underhanded man?

What she heard next though sent her mind into absolute chaos. 

"So what about it? Didn't Miss Shen push drinks onto Miss Mo earlier? Even Miss Shen knew about it and shamelessly hid in the crowd like a coward after she had ruined Miss Mo's dress let alone to try and apologize to Miss Mo. What Miss Mo has done was unintentional compared to…" Tang Hu narrowed his eyes and looked towards Shen Manting. He didn't require to say the rest of the words as Shen Manting already understood him.

"Wh...what nonsense are you talking about? I didn't do anything like this…" Shen Manting stubbornly shrugged off the responsibility. Of course, she wouldn't accept her mistake. What would her image be like in front of all those people who were present at this party and especially in front of the Tang Family?

Tang Hu smiled mischievously as if he already expected this.

"Fine don't admit to this. Then, Don't blame me afterward."

Then, Tang Hu looked at his a.s.sistant who was present at the party. All of a sudden, the lights turned off and on the screen, certain footage started to play. Seeing the footage, the Shen Family's face turned pale. It was CCTV footage of the earlier incident. The footage didn't stop after Shen Manting pushed the waiter, it was still continuing until the end. People not only saw Shen Manting's deeds and how Li Li threw a tantrum, but they also saw Mo Xingjuan behave like a true lady. She not only didn't fret over her dress but she also helped the waiter and didn't blame him.

Originally Li Li wasn't in the target list of Tang Hu, but when she showed her status to Tang Hu and even attempted to put the blame on Mo Xingjuan in front of Madam Shen that was when she instantly became a new target on his list.

The lights turned on. They were silent, everyone could feel instant disgust towards Shen Manting and Li Li's behavior, but no one could utter a word against them as the Shen Family was a rich and powerful family in City B. So no one wanted to offend them. The Shen Family's face turned red because of anger, everyone could feel their anger so did Shen Qiu.

He was also afraid of their anger, so he immediately steps up to subdue their anger "HU!!! What the h.e.l.l is this? This is your cousin's birthday party. You should consider her feelings before you try to ruin her party like this!"

Tang Hu chuckled and said in a sarcastic manner "Feelings? Ruin her party? Do you really think this party means anything to her?"

It was obvious that Tangning was not happy with this party. It was Ding Jiayi who forced her to throw this party. Although, on the surface it was Tangning's birthday party, everyone in the Tang Family knew that it was a matchmaking party for Tang Hu and Shen Manting. Obviously, Tang Qiu didn't know how to rebuke against Tang Hu's words.

"Well, if there is nothing else. I would like to take a leave." Tang Hu said and held Mo Xingjuan's hand and dragged her with him.
