Jeru felt she had something evil planned up for Keira because he had heard Thea that time at the fire exit, talking to someone, implying that the woman was planning something to get rid of Keira.

Jeru sighed, he couldn't believe that he would end up like this. Loving and protecting a woman in the shadow… He did try his best to get Keira's attention before but Keira's eyes were fixed on one person, it's only Zach she could see even if Zach was not around those times.
