Chapter 360: The Concerns of Black Spirit Snake

Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations

An Lin was bedridden for two more days, and all of his internal injuries finally healed from the effects of the Green Soul immortal pill. However, he was still yet to recover from the after-effects of overusing the Origin Energy of the Netherworld.

He was still unable to use powerful spell techniques, but at least, he was no longer bedridden.

During this period of rest and respite, some of the team members were having fun exploring the mortal world while others were busy practicing their newly-obtained spell techniques and cultivation methods.

White Spirit Snake and the two Battle G.o.ds also settled down temporarily on the North Mist Mountain. The two Battle G.o.ds still needed time to acclimatize to this new world. Battle G.o.ddess Bi Qiong made another breakthrough, taking her to Spirit Nurturing Intermediate Stage, while Battle G.o.d Zi Yang was still in the process of transitioning to using vital energy.

An Lin strolled along the mountain path and arrived at a small flower garden.

A young woman in a white dress was studying the white bead in her hand with an intent gaze, striking a vibrant contrast with the colorful flowers around her.

The young woman was none other than White Spirit Snake, and the bead in her hand was one of the five Divine Weapons of the Zhan Qi Continent, the White Radiant Bead. It was previously Battle G.o.ddess Bi Qiong’s weapon, but it now, of course, belonged to White Spirit Snake.

“Ah, Senior Poison Lord, why are you here?”

A pleasantly surprised expression appeared on her face as she ran toward An Lin excitedly.

Her white dress fluttered like clouds and mist in the breeze, sweeping up flower petals and the faint aroma of flowers in her wake.

“I’m looking for Da Bai. I’m going back to the university in five days, and I have to report some information about my experiences on Earth back to the Heavenly Court in advance,” An Lin replied with a smile.

“Oh… you’re leaving so soon…”

White Spirit Snake’s face fell after receiving this news.

“It’s not like I won’t ever be back. Earth is my home, I’ll come back to visit frequently.” An Lin tussled White Spirit Snake’s silky hair and smiled in consolation.

White Spirit Snake’s dejected expression lifted slightly as she nodded in response. “Alright, I’ll be waiting for you. The next time you see me, I’ll definitely have grown to a level that will give you a fright!”

An Lin felt like White Spirit Snake had given him many frights already, but she was preparing to deliver another one the next time they met? Could it be that she was planning to dethrone him as the main character?

“Big Brother An, check out the third technique of my Heavenly Wolf Strikes, woof!”

Da Bai wore the Chaotic Sky-Crus.h.i.+ng Claws on his paws, and he slashed out ten dazzling blue saber projections in the air. Each of the ten blue saber projections was imbued with devastating power.

An Lin nodded with approval as he looked up at Da Bai. It looked like it was a good idea to buy these gloves after all.

Thus, An Lin rode onto Da Bai’s back, and the two of them flew toward the designated Heavenly Court’s information transmission center.

At this moment, a beautiful woman who appeared to be the epitome of perfection was strolling casually through a bustling city.

Her inky black hair fluttered in the wind, and she wore a white blouse with a pair of dark jeans. The alluring curves of her s.e.xy long legs were perfectly highlighted by her tight-fitting jeans, presenting a seductive spectacle to behold and drawing the gazes of countless onlookers. Her beautiful black eyes seemed to possess a special charm which drew onlookers in at a glance.

“Who would have thought Earth could change so much in just fifty years.” The woman looked at her surroundings with a slight smile on her face and a cup of milk tea in her hands.

She was none other than Black Spirit Snake, who was revisiting Earth after fifty years.

“Earth’s level of development should position them in the intermediate stage of a second-tier technological civilization. I wonder if their statistics are within a normal range. If not, I’ll have to make some slight adjustments,” Black Spirit Snake muttered to herself.

In her understanding, the technological civilizations of the world could be divided into five big tiers.

First-tier technological civilization was the primitive civilization. Civilizations of this tier could derive energy from all types of heat sources such as wood, coal and fossil fuels.

Second-tier technological civilization was the particle energy civilization. Civilizations of this tier could expertly utilize particle energy such as electromagnetic energy, nuclear energy, hydrogen energy, and other microscopic particle energy sources.

Third-tier technological civilization was the superintelligent civilization. Civilizations of this tier could replace almost all aspects of manual labor through the use of artificial intelligence. Furthermore, people in said civilization should be able to artificially create sentient life forms.

Fourth-tier technological civilization was the spatial-dimension civilization. Civilizations of this tier could expertly utilize and manipulate s.p.a.ce as well as controlling dimensions and creating laws of physics.

Fifth-tier technological civilization was the Divine Dao civilization that only existed in legends. Civilizations of this tier would transform into a G.o.dly realm that could control the Great Dao and the Heavenly Dao. In other words, the inhabitants of a civilization like this would all be G.o.ds.

Even though Black Spirit Snake had seen countless civilizations, the highest tier civilization she had ever witnessed was only the fourth-tier. And that civilization eventually crumbled due to intrinsic reasons.

She raised her head and caught sight of the trailer for a sci-fi film displayed on a ma.s.sive screen on the side of a tall building. There were a few huge robots brawling with one another within the image on the screen.

She almost spat out the milk tea in her mouth at this sight. “What the h.e.l.l is this? Is this what earthlings are into?”

It was so violent and so childish, and it was somehow related to the destruction of the world as well?

She couldn’t help but ponder to herself as she stroked her chin. Earth was already a second-tier civilization which had the ability to destroy itself. What if the earthlings were influenced by media like this and blasted themselves into oblivion? Her Majesty would be so distraught!

As the most trusted servant of Her Majesty, she had to take responsibility and act as the G.o.d of this world when Her Majesty wasn’t around. Thus, she also had to bear the burden of maintaining peace and stability, as well as the safe development of the Earth.

Hence, the problem arose. What could she do to convince the earthlings against the notion of destroying themselves?

Should she rally the humans back under the rule of Her Majesty?

No, that would defeat the purpose of why Her Majesty created Earth in the first place?

Should she forcefully plant socialist values into the minds of all the earthlings?

No… this was under the category of super large-scale intervention; it could result in all sorts of backlash and after-effects…

Set up an alert system that notified her when war was imminent?

Hmm, this seemed like a good idea. However, it wasn’t very safe, and she would have to make wise choices on the people she chose to undertake this task, but it was an option nonetheless…

Black Spirit Snake sipped on her milk tea absentmindedly as she pondered this issue. She knitted her intricate brows as if she was grappling with a perplexing dilemma.

Her exquisite features attracted a lot of attention from pa.s.sersby, and all of them were wondering whether this beautiful woman was fretting over her relations.h.i.+p or her work or something else in her life. Unknown to them, she was struggling to decide what the best course of action was in order to ensure world peace…

Meanwhile, An Lin had just finished his report to the Heavenly Court and rose into the air on Da Bai’s back.

“Big Brother An, where to next, woof!”

“Hmm… Let’s go to the mall to buy some special local products for the guys back at the Heavenly Court.”
