Chapter 1794: Master of the Immortal Domain

With the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva trapped in the Vajra Pestle and the two buddha worlds of Samantabhadra the Universal Worthy and Manjusri the Gentle Glory retrieved from Sumeru World, Xuanzang now had three buddha worlds with him.

It was time to rebuild the World Core.

However, Xuanzang still said: "Even with three buddha worlds, it is hard for me to build the Immortal Buddha World Core. There is still a need to go to Nanhai World to seek out Guanyin Pusa."

Wu Yu was doubtful: "Grandmaster, you cannot build the Immortal Buddha World Core alone?"

Xuanzang nodded. "Indeed. However, now the Guanyin Pusa's life is not needed. As long as she is willing to come to Heavenly Buddha's Domain to help, there is hope that the Immortal Buddha World Core can be rebuilt."

Wu Yu had thought it inappropriate to ask Guanyin Pusa for her life to rebuild the Immortal Buddha World Core.

But if it was just help, Wu Yu had no problem with it.

"Alright. Let's go to Nanhai World to visit Guanyin Pusa." Wu Yu nodded.

He knew that Guanyin Pusa preferred to seclude herself away from worldly affairs.

But now all was ready, and only her help was needed to rebuilt the Immortal Buddha World Core. She would not refuse, right?

In any case, Wu Yu did not fault the immortal buddhas within Heavenly Buddha's Domain for their mad behavior and senseless killing. They were ultimately victims, and the one to blame was the Jade Emperor.

Along the way, Wu Yu was careful to conceal himself, so that the Jade Emperor would not discover him. If they were surrounded and attacked, it was still a difficult situation to deal with.

However, no immortal noticed him on the way in, to Wu Yu's relief.

Xuanzang emerged from Wu Yu's apotheosis realm, and took him in to Guanyin Pusa.

Wu Yu had just stepped into Nanhai World, when he heard Guanyin Pusa sighing even before they saw her. Her sigh was full of exasperation.

"Xuanzang, I knew you would come one day."

Guanyin Pusa's pure white buddha world came over to meet them.

Xuanzang's face lit up with a complex smile when he saw Guanyin Pusa.

Xuanzang smiled and said: "Great one, the master of the immortal domain will always change. Why must you endure so?"

He smiled lightly, and did not seem to be pressuring Guanyin Pusa, but her expression was grave indeed.

She shook her head sadly at his words. "The master of the immortal domain only disappears, but never changes. Do you still not understand that?"

Wu Yu was utterly bemused by this conversation.

Master of the immortal domain? Change? Disappear?

"The Jade Emperor invading Heavenly Buddha's Domain, smas.h.i.+ng the Immortal Buddha World Core, and all of their memories being erased... it has something to do with the master of the immortal domain?"

Wu Yu was confused.

The Jade Emperor was THE Jade Emperor after all. The foremost emperor in all of the Heavenly Domain.

No one would find it strange to call him the master of the immortal domain.

And no one new had come to Heavenly Buddha's Domain either. It was still Xuanzang, as powerful as ever, and the only one who had been able to stay sane in Heavenly Buddha's Domain.

Then what did Xuanzang and Guanyin Pusa mean by the master of the immortal domain changing?

Just two sentences, and Wu Yu was as lost as could be.

But then he learned a terrible truth.

Xuanzang smiled lightly at Guanyin Pusa. "I've already mastered the Heavenly Buddha's Domain. Not so?"

Suddenly Wu Yu understood something....... Xuanzang had not been master at Heavenly Buddha's Domain.

His heartbeat raced, his blood pounding in his ears.

Guanyin Pusa said softly: "You think Heavenly Buddha's Domain is already under your control?"

Xuanzang did not get angry, but said gently: "Perhaps not. But I'm only one World Core away now. The Four Great Bodhisattvas' buddha worlds will enable me to rebuild the core, right?"

"Huh?"

Guanyin Pusa's face paled. "Samantabhadra and Manjusri...... did they not hide themselves at Sumeru World? How did you- No......."

Her horrified eyes fell on Wu Yu.

A chill through his heart.

He knew now.

Xuanzang had not come to ask Guanyin Pusa for help to rebuild the World Core. He had come to kill her to harvest her buddha world!

Only with the Four Great Bodhisattvas' buddha worlds united could he rebuild the Immortal Buddha World Core.

And Guanyin Pusa had said that Samantabhadra the Universal Worthy and Manjusri the Gentle Glory had been hiding in Sumeru World. They had not been imprisoned by the Jade Emperor!

This meant that the two great bodhisattvas had not ended their own lives and left their buddha worlds behind. Xuanzang had entered Sumeru World and killed them, taking their buddha worlds......

Now, Xuanzang would kill Guanyin Pusa and take the fourth. With this he would rebuild the World Core and become the truth master of the immortal domain!

Wu Yu had guessed this from the exchange between the two.

Still, his guess was almost exactly on the money, seeing the expressions of the two. This must be Xuanzang's true motive.

"Wu Yu."

Xuanzang half-turned and sighed. "The Immortal Buddha World Core must be rebuilt. This is the only way for the Heavenly Buddha's Domain to live on. Guanyin Pusa must be sacrificed!"

"Why did you lie to me?"

Wu Yu felt cold all over.

He felt that he had been an accomplice in the killing of Manjusri the Gentle Glory and Samantabhadra the Universal Worthy. If he had not opened the Sumeru Pa.s.sage with the Ruyi Jingu Bang, they would not be dead, would they?

Even if Xuanzang was right, and the Immortal Buddha World Core had to be rebuilt, but Wu Yu could not accept Xuanzang's methods of achieving his goal.

Seeing Wu Yu's accusatory look, Xuanzang shook his head. He had a sorrowful look on his face. "Wu Yu, you do not understand, but one day you will see that grandmaster had no choice."
