Jiang Yuyan came downstairs for breakfast, where Xiao Min and the butler were already waiting for her. She looked at Xiao Min. He was, as usual, the best a.s.sistant who waited for his boss.

Jiang Yuyan quietly sat in her chair as the butler served her breakfast.

These two think I don't know Lu Lijun was here, so they are acting all ignorant. Good for me. I will pretend I don't, too," she thought and continued to eat. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't pay attention to the vegetables in her dish and continued to eat everything.

"Bring the file of our new project with Xi businesses," Jiang Yuyan ordered.

"The fourth young master is already working on it," Xiao Min informed.

Suddenly Jiang Yuyan raised her voice. "Are we going to give all the work in the company to him only? Is he the only capable person here? Are all other people dead? Do I need to fire a few more so others can get their brain in the right place?"

Xiao Min was taken aback by her sudden outrage, "Apology boss," he said and thought, 'Must be a hormone thing. It's fine.'

He bowed and said, "Good morning, fourth young master."

"Yes," Xiao Min replied and thought, "Or she wouldn't have that much energy to raise her voice.

"Boss asked for the file from Xi businesses," Xiao Min informed.

Lu Lijun signaled at the one file on the table, "It's there."

Xiao Min picked it up and left after bowing lightly.

Xiao Min returned to Jiang Yuyan's office and put that file on the table, "The file boss asked for."

Jiang Yuyan glared at him. "Why are you giving it to me? Do you want me to work on it when I am not well?"

It again startled Xiao Min and thought, 'Hormones...It's fine.'

Xiao Min picked the file back. If she didn't wish to let Lu Lijun work on it and neither did she want to work, Xiao Min was smart enough to understand what his boss wanted and said, "I will personally look into this project."

"Good. a.s.sistant Shen Li is the one in charge from their side, so communicate with him and finish it faster," Jiang Yuyan instructed.

"Yes, boss," Xiao Min nodded.

During Lunch, Noah informed Lu Lijun, "Today, the entire office building is scared of president Lu."

Lu Lijun smiled, "After all, she is my wife."

"That I know, but it's not a normal thing to happen. Did you, by chance, do something to anger her? She can't take it out on you so taking it out on others."

"It's fine. They get paid enough to bear with her anger," Lu Lijun countered.

The entire day went busy with work, where Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan came across each other only during meetings.

"This guy is always busy. How come he gets time to annoy me?" she couldn't help but think.

Jiang Yuyan left for home early. She was fine now, so she chose to go to Lu Mansion. There was no use in going to her home as one stubborn guy had invaded her secret place already.

Lu Lijun finished his work as usual late in the night. He didn't bother Jiang Yuyan the entire day and didn't wish to bother her for a while more.

As the two were leaving, Noah gathered some files, and Lu Lijun asked, "What are you doing?"

"It's the weekend, so I am taking some work with me back home," Noah replied.

"You should rest instead. No more work for the two days," Lu Lijun said as he put his hand on the file, seeing Noah wouldn't listen, "It's your boss's order."

Noah put those files back and said, "Fine."

The two left the office.

Lu Lijun returned to Lu Mansion. Not willing to trouble her, Lu Lijun straight went to his bed after freshening up. He tried to sleep but couldn't. He realized whenever he slept beside Jiang Yuyan, sleep came to him in a moment, and he couldn't control it, but now, even after being so tired, he couldn't sleep.

"The entire day, I didn't ask her how she was. I should be a good husband and take a look at if she is fine," he mumbled and immediately stepped out of bed to run to her room.

He went to her room and opened the door. It was not locked, and it surprised him. "She knows I will manage to get inside, so there is no use," he smirked and entered the room.

He saw Jiang Yuyan was sleeping and fearlessly stepped towards her bed. Sitting at the edge of the bed, he stared at a soundly sleeping woman and leaned to peck on her lips. After a few moments, he parted away and spoke, "This much is enough to bring me to sleep," and stood up to leave the room.

Just as the door was closed behind Lu Lijun, Jiang Yuyan opened her eyes. She was not surprised by his move, and it was difficult for her to sleep while knowing he would come to her. She even missed the medicines that put her in a deep sleep, and this guy took advantage of it.

She was relieved that he didn't sleep with her. She couldn't understand what was going on in his mind. Sometimes he forced her to sleep with him and sometimes acted good and left her alone. Sometimes stubborn and clingy, and sometimes he won't even show up in front of her for long as if she didn't exist for him. What is he? What is in his mind? So unpredictable.

The next day all the family members were home as it was the weekend. Lu Lijun went to the gym while Jiang Yuyan preferred to rest. Lu Lijun returned home before breakfast, his hair was still damp after having a bath in the gym, and he had changed into casual clothes at home.

"Morning Grandpa," Lu Lijun wished, and elder Lu looked at him, "You are turning even handsome with every pa.s.sing day."

Lu Lijun smiled, "Shouldn't I turn up to my grandpa's standard, just handsome like him?"

Elder Lu and others smiled too. "True. All my kids are handsome like me."

"You are the one to contribute to their beauty while I did nothing to extend the new generation of your family," Grandma commented.

"Who said it? See, all the women in our family are the prettiest. They took after you," elder Lu countered."

"Thankfully, you didn't take credit for it at least," Grandma commented.

Just then, Jiang Yuyan came downstairs. Lu Lijun looked at her and couldn't take his eyes off of her. Entire week he mostly had to see her in office clothes, but the weekend was the one when he got to see her in casual clothes that reminded him of Jiang Yuyan from the past and not the present cold lady.

While walking towards the sofa, Jiang Yuyan noticed his sight and thought, 'Stop looking at me.'

As if Lu Lijun understood what she was thinking, he didn't move his sight and instead leaned back on the sofa and continued to stare at her.

"Good morning, grandpa," she said and wished others too.

"How are you? You were not home for two days," elder Lu asked.

Just then, the butler came there, "Breakfast is ready."

Everyone went to the dining room. Just as they sat and the servant served the food, Lu Lijun asked, "I saw an ambulance standing in the parking."

"It's for Lu Bao if there is an emergency," Ning Jiahui informed, and Su Hui then added, "We have two nurses appointed to look after her till she delivers the baby."

Lu Lijun looked at Lu Boa and said, "One baby is having another baby,"

Lu Bao frowned, "Are you not happy with only teasing Yuyan that now you started with me."

"I said nothing wrong," Lu Lijun countered and then looked at Lu Lian, "Did I?"

Lu Lian looked at Lu Boa, "Lu Lijun is right. But I am more worried about your husband, who would soon have to deal with two babies."

"You two are just…."

"Don't tease her. Let her be calm," Ning Jiahui warned the other two, and they listened.

"I don't know how Yuyan put up with you till now?" Lu Bao mumbled.

"She had to put up with me forever. Don't worry about her," Lu Lijun said again.

Jiang Yuyan could only feel angry about it while others laughed. They didn't know what this guy exactly meant.

"Finally, my granddaughter is the one who will let me see my grandchild while my grandsons are nothing but a disappointment," Elder Lu said.

Lu Bao, who was happy with the praise from her grandpa, said, "Don't worry, grandpa, I am sure Lu Lijun won't disappoint you. He is like brother Lu Qiang and not celibate like brother Lu Feng. I am sure he will fulfill grandpa's wish."

"Will you?" elder Lu asked, not expecting any positive reply from him.

The silver chopsticks Jiang Yuyan held for eating, one of them slipped from her hand and fell on the floor.

Jiang Yuyan was praying inside that he should not say anything. The butler pa.s.sed her a new pair of chopsticks.

"Hmm," Lu Lijun agreed as he looked at Jiang Yuyan's dish and, as usual, added vegetables to her dish.

Jiang Yuyan quietly accepted it and started eating vegetables. She didn't want to argue with him, not knowing what this guy would spurt out.

"Their mother? That means there is someone in your mind?" Elder Lu asked, and everyone just quietly waited for him to answer.

"Hmm," he nodded again, focussing on his food.

"Tell your grandpa, who she is," Elder Lu asked.

Jiang Yuyan held her breath and didn't know what she would do if he told the truth.

"You all will know once she accepts me," Lu Lijun replied.

Elder Lu scoffed, "Who wouldn't want to accept my grandson?"

"There is one stubborn woman to whom I am nothing special," Lu Lijun replied.

His words were scaring Jiang Yuyan, while others were feeling excited to know more.

"At least tell us something about her. This curiosity will make me deliver a baby right away," Lu Bao said.

"When the time will come, everyone will know," Lu Lijun said. From the corner of his eyes, he could see how nervous Jiang Yuyan was as she was eating quietly with her head lowered down.

"Even I want to know," Lu Lian said.

"Don't force him," Lu Jinhai spoke.

Ning Jiahui, who was happy with this news, said, "This time, don't rush for anything. We all can wait."

Lu Lijun nodded while the woman next to him felt the back of her neck turn sweaty.
