Chapter 516 What Are You Hiding?

When Jiang Yang and Lu Qiang were discussing things seriously, they heard footsteps coming into their direction and both kept quiet. Lu Feng came back and saw these two sitting there. Avoiding to look at them, he went straight inside the bathroom.

Jiang Yang stood up from the couch and went to knock on the bathroom door. Without waiting to get a reply from Lu Feng, Jiang Yang spoke. "I and Lu Qiang will visit grandpa. Once you are done, you can come there too."

Lu Feng hummed lightly.

When Jiang Yang and Lu Qiang went to the elder Lu, he was sleeping.

"When will he be awake?" Lu Qiang asked.

"Till morning as he is under the influence of medicines," Jiang Yang replied.

When Jiang Yang was going through the follow-up, Lu Qiang was looking at his grandpa as if asking him to get well soon and looked puzzled as if he wanted to ask his grandpa what was there that he and Lu Feng was hiding.

There was a worry in his eyes for the person, his grandpa whom he admired the most though he never showed it. At the same time, he was thinking his grandpa must be carrying some burden on his chest that Lu Qiang wanted to share. Lu Feng could share it, but he was not and that hurt him somewhere. He wanted to know it by any means.

Asking Lu Feng was not the option as he knew how stubborn Lu Feng was who liked to go through all the hards.h.i.+p alone. Standing there, so many things were crossing Lu Qiang's mind since the incident of his father but he was not able to get the answer.

Cleaning his face properly, not leaving any traces of him crying, Lu Feng came out of the bathroom and went to the room where elder Lu was admitted and he had visited him already.

When Lu Qiang was immersed in his thoughts, the door of the room opened and Lu Feng entered. Looking at Jiang Yang who was writing something in a patient's chart, Lu Feng asked, "Is he out of danger?"

"Yes, and for now there is an improvement but we can say anything specific after the next twenty-four hours," Jiang Yang replied as he finished what he was doing and kept the patient's chart back. The nurse entered the room who went out to get medicines for the patients which supposed to inject him at this hour."

Giving a medicine shot to the patient, Jiang instructed the nurse with a few things and came out of the room along with Lu Qiang and Lu Feng.

As they reached the waiting room, Lu Qiang asked, "Are you on night s.h.i.+ft Jiang Yang?"

"No!" Jiang Yang replied.

"Then you should go home and rest as you are working for a long time."

"No need I am used to it."

Lu Feng agreed with Lu Qiang. "Lu Qiang is right, Jiang Yang. you should rest as you are a doctor who is treating grandpa. We want you to be in good condition."

"Few sleepless nights won't affect me. Rest a.s.sured. Moreover, I don't want to take a chance till next twenty-four hours so let me be here."

"Hmm!" both Lu brothers agreed.

Jiang Yang knew why Lu Qiang was asking him this, but he wanted to be in the hospital and thought to leave these two alone after some time.

Sensing, Lu Qiang wanted to talk to Lu Feng, Jiang Yang stood up from the couch. "I have something to do in my office. I would be back in sometime. Both of you should rest."

Both nodded and Jiang Yang left.

When Jiang Yang left, Lu Qiang looked at Lu Feng with a serious gaze that made Lu Feng uncomfortable as he thought Lu Qinag must have noticed his light red and a bit puffy eyes.

"What?" Lu Feng asked as Lu Qiang didn't move his sight even though Lu Feng noticed it.

"I should be the one to ask you, 'what'?" Lu Qiang replied and the way he was talking and looking at Lu Feng, it made him think what had happened suddenly.

"I don't know what you are talking about, Lu Qiang?" Saying, Lu Feng leaned back on the couch and closed his eyes but Lu Qiang didn't let it slide this easily.

"You and grandpa, what are you hiding from me?"

Lu Qiang straight jumped to the point that shook Lu Feng inside but he still maintained his calm and didn't bother to open his eyes or to look at Lu Qiang.

"From where you got this in your mind, Lu Qiang. There is nothing so just close your eyes, sleep and let me sleep too." Lu Feng said, pretending as if he was too sleepy.

It annoyed Lu Qiang. "Don't act in front of me, Lu Feng. just answer me. I am serious."

Finally, Lu Feng opened his eyes and looked at Lu Qiang. "Were you spying on me when I was in grandpa's room?"

"It was not intentional. I came there with Jiang Yang as he was on his round of follow up. Don't change the topic and answer me." Lu Qiang was being impatient.

"Even if there is something that you don't know, it doesn't concern you. It's just between me and grandpa so don't ask as we have a right to not tell a few things to others."

"I don't have any intention to take away your rights but I am asking you this as my right over you as a brother and you can't take it away from me."

"Don't do this, Lu Qiang, please." Lu Feng knew how stubborn Lu Qiang was.

"I want to know why you sacrificed your dreams and keep hurting yourself? I want the reason behind it."

The patience that Lu Feng was holding inside himself was on the verge of breaking and he said, "So, would you have preferred me to fight with you over the business that you have under you and the woman you have in your life right now. Would you like to see us fighting for it?"
