Just as these two finished the talk, they heard a sound at the entrance of the gallery, A metal vase placed at the one corner near the wall was moved and made a sound.

It alerted them and both stepped to see who was there but there was no one. They looked at the vase, and it was a bit moved out from its original place. As there was no one and the whole corridor was empty, Lu Jinhai said, "It must be wind or a cat or we must have imagined it."

"Hmm!" Although Lu Qiang agreed with his father, his eyes were searching to see if there was actually someone who heard their conversation. Not being able to see anyone, he gave up and both father and son went to their rooms after wis.h.i.+ng good night to each other.

A woman walked in a hurry, entered inside the room and closed the door. She looked as if she had a shock of her life. A man sleeping on the bed woke up with the sound of the door closing and seeing the woman who looked as if she saw a ghost, he asked, "What happened, Su Hui?"

Sitting on the edge of the bed while facing her back to him, she replied, "Nothing, I just walked in a hurry so caught the breath."

"Hmm! Where did you go?" he asked.

"I could not sleep so thought to have a small walk," she replied trying to keep her voice normal as much as she could.

"Are you fine now?" He asked again.

"Hmm!" she nodded as she didn't want her husband to know about it.

"Sleep then." He said.

"I need to use the bathroom. You sleep, I will be back in sometime."

Though she was talking, every word from her throat was coming out with an effort. She felt as if her throat was choked and there was something heavy kept on her chest. She wanted to cry but not a single tear came out of her eyes.

"Okay!" Saying, Lu Chen closed his eyes.

Su Hui went to the bathroom and stood up in front of the mirror in the bathroom which was above the washbasin. So many thoughts going through her mind that were creating chaos and making her feel lost.

Sometimes before, when Su Hui went out of the room and thought to walk in the corridor for a while, she noticed Lu Qiang and Lu Jinhai were in the gallery. She didn't intend to eavesdrop but few words from them and the way both father and son looked serious; she stopped and heard everything that they talked about.

Standing in front of the mirror and looking at her own reflection in a daze, she was talking to herself in her mind. She felt as if her existence was an illusion and all this while she was bearing a fake ident.i.ty of a daughter-in-law of the Lus family.

Till now no one knew about it and they treated us like their own, but what will happen now as Lu Qiang knows about it. Till the elders are alive, everything would be fine but what if in future he abandons my sons using all his power?'
