Jiang Yuyan went to the hospital while San Zemin and the butler went back to the secret mansion as they had to prepare for the next day's plan.

"Wasn't our boss so cool?" the butler asked as they sat in the back pa.s.senger seat of the car.

"Hmm, she was," San Zemin replied.

"Do you still doubt her capability?"

"I am just worried about her safety as you too know those people are not simple."

"Our boss is not simple either but you can see it only if you stop differentiating her for being a woman," the butler suggested.

"It's not that. She is the one our previous boss loved the most. I owe him my life so I want to protect her with everything I have," said San Zemin.

"I know you mean good for her but still stop worrying uselessly," instructed the butler.

Nodding, San Zemin asked, "What did you two do in the kitchen yesterday before going to Mr. Yun Shen's place?"

"We collected the best knives available in the kitchen," the butler replied as he laughed.

San Zemin stayed silent as he had nothing to say while the butler continued laughing.

When Jiang Yuyan went to the hospital, her brother got to know about her arrival and went to see her who was standing outside of the ICU where Lu Jinhai was admitted.

No one was allowed to enter the ICU except for the doctors and the other hospital staff, so Jiang Yuyan could only see him through the gla.s.s barrier.

When Jiang Yang went to her, she asked, "When will father wake up?"

"We can't predict it," Jiang Yang replied.

"Any Kind of improvement?"

"There is but still it's impossible to a.s.sure anything at this moment," replying Jiang Yang asked, "The false report I gave you about his condition, was it of any use?"

"Hmm, it was useful to shut a few annoying mouths," Jiang Yuyan replied.

"But how will you explain to them if he won't wake up even after a month?"

"I will shut those mouths forever," Jiang Yuyan replied as she continued looking at Lu Jinhai. Her expressions were serious as she said it.

"Yuyan….."

"Can I go inside and talk to him?" Jiang Yuyan asked, interrupting her brother.

Jiang Yang could only give out a deep sigh as he knew he couldn't stop his sister and replied, "Just for five minutes."

It was always like this. When Jiang Yuyan was in her little sister form, Jiang Yang always had an upper hand and annoyed his little sister, but whenever she was like this, Jiang Yang had to step back and let her do what she wanted.

Before entering the ICU, Jiang Yuyan had to wear the clothes from the hospital, a green robe that was tied at her waist with the belt, hair cap, and a mask covering her face.

The nurse present inside left the ICU as instructed by Jiang Yang because he knew his sister would need some time alone with her father-in-law.

Jiang Yuyan sat on the chair beside the bed. She kept looking at her father-in-law for a while as tears rolled down her eyes. She wanted to say a few things, hoping her father-in-law could hear her and he might wake up soon, but before that, her throat choked up.

She remembered the day of the accident that how happy they both were as they planned to surprise her father, Jiang Peizhi. When something unexpected happened, how Lu Jinhai tried to console her as he worried for her. Suddenly the next moment everything shattered in pieces and both lost the things dear to them.

She wanted him to wake up but the next moment the thought troubled her what will happen when he will know about Lu Qiang once he is awake.

"Father!"

A choked and crying voice could be heard in the room.

Jiang Yuyan held Lu Jinhai's hand that had an oximeter attached to his index finger.

"Father, please wake up soon. I need you." Holding his hands, Jiang Yuyan continued crying as her forehead rested on it. "I am trying my best but it's so difficult for me. Please, father, wake up soon."

Jiang Yuyan spent her given five minutes by accompanying her father-in-law, and when the time was over, the nurse came to her. Jiang Yuyan went to her brother, who was waiting for her in his office cabin.

Jiang Yang asked her to have a seat. When Jiang Yuyan sat there, her brother got up and offered her a gla.s.s of water as he stood up in front of her, resting at the worktable.

Accepting it, Jiang Yuyan drank water as Jiang Yang spoke, "Don't be disheartened seeing uncle Lu Jinhai's condition. It's not like he won't wake up, but we just need to wait. You never know he might wake up anytime soon."

"I hope so and I want father to wake up soon but…." she stopped.

"But it worries you what will happen when he will get to know about Lu Qiang," Jiang Yang finished her lines.

"Hmm! Thinking about it is like a huge burden on me."

Jiang Yang patted his sister's head as he said, "Don't think much and leave it on time. Uncle Lu Jinhai is a strong person and I am sure he will understand everything."

Nodding Jiang Yuyan finished the water and kept the gla.s.s at the table and Jiang Yang asked, "How is everything?"

"It's going as we planned but let's see….."

"I am asking about my sister only. I want to know how she is and how is she doing?" Jiang Yang asked, interrupting her.

Till now Jiang Yuyan was not looking at her brother as he was standing resting at the worktable and she preferred to not look at him as she thought she might break into tears after just crying in front of her father-in-law.

"You can look at me, Yuyan, and it's okay if you cry. Don't act so strong," Jiang Yang instructed.
