Young Military Rarities Chapter 5: “Stealing” & “Cheating”

The Goods Distribution Center in the north of this city was the largest transferring base in Chuan City. The transfer of goods from physical stores, the distribution of products by Internet merchants or the wholesale purchase of goods in traditional markets would all pa.s.s there. It was conceivable that the variety of goods here was complete; if the warehouse really belonged to one person, he could not consume the goods even in his whole life.

At about one o'clock in the middle of the night, Yun Che had already neared the warehouse. He found a quiet corner and walked out of the s.p.a.ce. At this time, he was wearing a dark sportswear with a mask on his face and a small black backpack on his back which contained his laptop. Such a large distribution center must be equipped with cameras monitoring everywhere. Before the doomsday, he wasn't willing to be a criminal wanted by the whole country.

Once out of the tunnel near the warehouse, Yun Che pulled up his sportswear hat and put on gloves. His body was as fast as lightning and he slipped into the night. Yun Che ran fast around the warehouse and slipped into a corner which would not be covered by the monitor. He took out his laptop, inserted the USB flash drive into it and hacked into the main computer of the warehouse. His fingers knocked quickly on the keyboard to modify the monitoring picture, overlapping it with the faked video he took.

After half an hour, Yun Che had done everything well and he walked out of that corner. He carefully avoided the security guards and opened the door of one warehouse under the cover of the  night. To his delight, this was a warehouse where all kinds of electrical equipment were piled up. In addition to common air conditioning, refrigerators, was.h.i.+ng machines, there were all kinds of solar energy equipment and electrical water heaters. Yun Che was not greedy, whether he knew that equipment or not, he would only take three sets of them.

The second warehouse was used to store daily necessities. Yun Che didn't have time to choose one by one. He took a few of each kind. He didn't even miss the menstruation towel used by women. These were all non-renewable resources. His sister could use them every month in the future. Of course, he also took a lot of milk powder and snacks; his nephew would like them. In the other warehouses, there were alcohol, tobacco, tea, food, beverage and mineral water, etc. He only took some of those goods he would consume and left most to others.

Later Yun Che also found several freezers which stored various frozen chicken, duck, fish and seafood. The freezers could keep the freshness and quality of goods. Yun Che got some of every kind of the frozen products. It was almost impossible to eat fresh meat after doomsday.

However, Yun Che didn't take much of the rice and wheat because the rice he planted in the s.p.a.ce had been successfully raised. He also bought a lot of rice in the early stage, and there was no need to take more. However, he took more clothes, shoes, quilts, tents, sleeping bags and other things. Children's clothes were even taken from the smallest size to the largest size, and each style and size was taken at least for two sets.

Finally, he went to the garage but only took a Hummer that should be customized and modified by private individuals. He didn't want the rest. After doomsday, there would be plenty of cars. There was no need to get them into the s.p.a.ce now to occupy s.p.a.ce. He didn't want a cool motorcycle either. The sound of it was too loud; zombies would catch up with it soon. Instead, he took a few electro-cars and other equipment used on water.

After he finished, it was almost two hours later. Yun Che went back to the tunnel where he had been hiding. He turned on the laptop to cancel the instruction. He held his breath and checked the surrounding to ensure that there was no one near him, then he took out the van in the s.p.a.ce and drove away.

As early as a few days ago, he rented a small suite near the warehouse where he received the goods. Yun Che didn't go into the s.p.a.ce to clean up things. Instead, he fell asleep on the bed. Today, the military goods he ordered online would be delivered and he would have to wait to receive the goods. Unless he robbed the a.r.s.enal which was obviously unrealistic, he had no other way to get the guns and ammunition. What's worse, these weapon could not cause fatal damage to zombies.

In the next two days, Yun Che "visited" the warehouse of pharmacy and the farm machinery in the same way. He wanted to go to the oil depot at first, but if the oil truck disappeared out of air, it would certainly cause panic. At present, because he searched everywhere, the news had already started to report the theft of various warehouses, so he decided to stop for the time being. Besides, he decided to rob the oil depot as soon as the doomsday arrived.

There were still two days before the doomsday, most materials have been collected and Yun Che finally dialed the telephone of his sister Yun Yao.

"Che? You haven't called me for a long time. I just told Xiao Cheng two days ago that you may have a girlfriend, may you? " As soon as the phone was connected, Yun Yao's bright and gentle voice was clearly heard. Yun Che's eyes burst into tears. G.o.d knows how long he had not heard the voice of his sister. The two younger brothers were her hope. Even if she already had her own family, Yun Yao would get anxious once hearing his choked voice.

Yun Yao could not understand his brother more. If it wasn't serious, he wouldn't have put forward such kind of request, so she agreed without giving it a second thought.

Then the sister and the brother hung up the phone at the same time. Yun Che pulled out the cosmetics to darken his eyes before he turned on the computer and opened the video online.

"Look at your face; you look like a ghost." As soon as the video started, Yun Yao began her nagging. Looking at the beautiful woman with curly hair, Yun Che could not hide his excitement. The three of them were good-looking, especially the elder sister who was very beautiful. It was no wonder that Mr. Zhou insisted on marrying her regardless of the opposition of his family.

Four years ago, after doomsday came, when he arrived at the sister's house in the next city, there were no one in the building, leaving only blood and decaying body parts. At that time, he refused to believe those were his sister's. It was from his nephew's mouth that he knew those were really his sister's.  So his sister had been eaten by zombies and there was even no complete corpse left.
