The reason is that, currently, we have an expanding population for which we would need a lot of food in the future and we cant always rely on other countries for the import of food since there is always a limit on exportation once a calamity occurs . And relying on others will be brewing a disaster in the future for Sky . The agricultural ministry too had the same opinion after previous sanctions and hence we are being cautious even though we have regulated Fertilizers and made a state company for it to sell it to farmers in cheap prices so other countries can't get the secret behind it for now . "

John shook his head and spoke, "Nah, I am not blaming anyone, you all did well by taking future disasters in consideration due to our past problems . It means that everyone in various departments is growing and maturing to take wise decisions for the future . Currently, I have my own opinions because of certain plans and developments . Anyway, did you set up a research inst.i.tute for farming so that we sort out good seeds and hybrids for increased, better and diverse Plant yields in the future?"

Taylor hesitated a bit and spoke, "Well, we have set up the inst.i.tute but not a lot of magicians are interested in research related to farming . However, we were only able to fill up 70% of researchers needed by offering them higher salaries and other lucrative state benefits . However, on Professor Will's recommendation, we have also hired skilled farmers who have worked for 20-40 years and it seems that their experience and observations from the past has helped the research team quite a lot and smoothened the research . We might get some results on certain crops in the future . "

John nodded and spoke, "So tell me what are the problems faced in the agriculture sector for now . "

The only problem faced with the Ministry of Agriculture and farmers is that they want to hire more people to reduce their manual labor work so as not to waste any food but we too want more workers for various industries and hence other industries too are offering higher wages which makes those farmers grumble a bit since a lot of youngsters want to travel to the city even though they are offering good wages in villages . Meanwhile, we have strictly ordered the parents of everyone in the kingdom to send their children to state schools that we have built for now and cannot be allowed for child labor . As the bill was pa.s.sed in the parliament and also your decree was made after the pa.s.sing of the bill, no one dares to defy it . According to the parliament, only children above 15 can officially work . "

John thought, 'It seems children above 15 are considered adults in this world . I guess it can't be changed so fast and I have to go with some flow . '

This will inevitably improve our labor force by at least 25%-30% which can be used in other sectors . These production lines will be built on a large scale so that we can provide the agricultural machines to all the farmers on rent to reduce their labor needs and also increase our yields . "

Taylor nodded and immediately carried out John's order as he didn't want the diagrams to be leaked out in any way . He spoke, "Lord, we have also formed the cultural ministry as you asked us previously and they have done their research and have got some results . "
