Qin Yu replied, “Rourou is not by my side currently.” His eyes shone a little as he added, “Great Shaman Mengshan, why did you suddenly mention Rourou?”

Great Shaman Mengshan bowed and said, “Back then, when you were in the West Desolate’s Imperial Capital, I once took a risk and went over. I met Lady Rourou and unintentionally found out about a contract that she made a long time ago with a Great Shaman from our Barbarian Clan.

Qin Yu said, “Then there’s nothing much to worry about. Let’s go to the ancestral court directly, and also, let’s fulfill our promise and save that Great Shaman from the Flowing Fire Tribe.”

Qin Yu waved his hand and said, “Rourou always thinks long-term when she does things. Since she has already formed a connection with the Barbarian Clan’s ancestral court, it means that she was prepared for this. Let’s go over first and play it by ear. I have confidence in Rourou.”

Great Shaman Mengshan pinched his hands and chanted. Black lines started to form on the white floor of the temple. They intertwined with each other, forming a complicated picture. There were slight fluctuations and the picture gave off a bit of light.

Then, a portal appeared. It had a simple appearance and an ancient aura to it.

“Your Majesty, after pa.s.sing through this portal, you will directly reach the ancestral court,” Great Shaman Mengshan explained. “I have to trouble you to conceal your ident.i.ty temporarily. You can reveal your ident.i.ty if the situation appears to be good.”

Qin Yu nodded.

“Your Majesty, please follow me.”

Great Shaman Mengshan stepped into the portal.

The s.p.a.ce distorted and the teleportation process gave him a funny feeling inside. Then, the feeling of spinning disappeared, and before him, there was a huge mountain that reached to the skies. It was lush with vegetation and its vitality filled the air. It was impossible to see how far the mountain stretched into the distance.

“Who is it!”

There was a low growl and a few barbarian guards appeared.

Very quickly, their faces changed and they hurriedly bowed. “Greetings, Great Shaman Mengshan.”

Great Shaman Mengshan nodded, “I came to the ancestral court today for an urgent matter. Please quickly tell the various parties to hold an ancestral court meeting right away.”

The guard said, “Great Shaman Mengshan, today is the day of the Trial a.s.sembly. All of the Great Shamans are already gathered together.”

This was because there was a trial that was about to proceed!

An old barbarian knelt in the ancestral court. His aura was sporadic and his face was pale. All of his cultivation had been locked, but he still raised his head and though he was kneeling, there was mockery in his eyes, as if he was looking down on everyone.

“All of you are wrong, and that’s a fact that can never change. Even if you kill me, this fact remains.

“To think that my Barbarian Clan’s ancestral court and the fate of our Barbarian Clan lie in the hands of people like all of you. It seriously upsets me, and I feel even more sad for the countless sons that died on the frontlines. They have died for nothing.

“All of you are not worthy of your positions, and even less qualified to become the rulers of the Barbarian Clan!”

The old barbarian cried out loud.

In the ancestral court, all of the Great Shamans had gloomy expressions on their faces.

It was not just because they were being scolded by the old barbarian. It was also because the winds had indeed changed in the ancestral court.
