Seventh Dao Master was directly opposite them. He looked carefully at all the subtle expressions on Qin Yu’s face, smiled slightly, and said, “Fellow daoist Luo Guan, we meet again. This is White Jade Capital, what do you think of it?”

Qin Yu took a deep breath and said slowly, “The land of the immortals is known as White Jade Capital…after hearing about it for so long, I finally get to see it. This place is truly worthy of its reputation as the strongest territory that rules over the entire world.”

Everyone loved to listen to sweet words and compliments and Seventh Dao Master was no exception. He stretched his arm out and said, “Fellow daoist Luo Guan, this way.”

Cheng Haoran had already greeted his grandmaster when he walked out earlier. After hearing the conversation between the both of them, a different feeling emerged in his heart. When it came to Luo Guan, Cheng Haoran had interacted with him a bit and he had somewhat gotten a clearer perspective of what his personality was like. Luo Guan was not someone who spoke nice words. Yet, in front of his grandmaster, the compliments had flowed out from his mouth so easily and it felt heartfelt as well. Being able to do something like this showed that he was not to be underestimated…it seemed that I was not just lacking by a bit, there are still many areas for me to grow!

The architectural style of White Jade Capital and Thirteenth Floor was practically the same. If there was something different between the both of them, it was probably that White Jade Capital was bigger. It covered almost the entire sea of clouds and it stretched out as far as the eye could see. Within this place, there were many powerful auras that were concealed. Qin Yu did not a.n.a.lyze them too closely, he merely swept his senses over the area and he could feel at least ten True King auras. Amongst these auras, some of them were extremely powerful. 

Suddenly, the Oriental Great Bird, which had been resting on Qin Yu’s shoulders with closed eyes, opened its golden eyes abruptly. In them, there was a cold glint. It looked up and locked its gaze on a bunch of white clouds. In a gap between those clouds, a large eye was now revealed as it looked coldly towards them.

The Oriental Great Bird screeched, conveying its murderous intent and anger to the other party!

Qin Yu glanced at Seventh Dao Master who was smiling without a word. Then, Qin Yu suddenly said, “If you want to stretch your limbs for a bit and exercise, then go for it.”

The Oriental Great Bird soared to the sky and its body started to expand at an astonis.h.i.+ng speed. In the blink of an eye, it had become thousands of miles long, covering the entire sky. A howling wind tore the clouds apart, revealing the python that was hiding behind them. Its whole body was covered with black scales. It hissed continuously and its eyes were filled with coldness. It narrowed its eyes, focusing on the Oriental Great Bird that was soaring towards it. The Oriental Great Bird’s eyes were even colder as its enormous tail came sweeping towards the python. In an instant, the two enormous beasts were engaged in a fierce battle. Though the Oriental Great Bird was fighting in a foreign place, it did not show any fear at all as it fought valiantly against the python.

Boom, boom, boom –

A deafening thunder-like rumble rang out in the skies, sweeping in all directions. Qin Yu’s face was calm, not caring about the gazes that were focusing on him.

Since he had been invited to White Jade Capital today, he must have gotten rid of the suspicions revolving around his ident.i.ty. Whatever was happening now must be Seventh Dao Master trying to give everyone an explanation for why he picked Qin Yu to enter the altar at the Sea of Confusion. Of course, he was probably also trying to show his strength.

“Dao Master, this beast was acquired by me in a Mutant World. It is brutal and violent by nature. If I have offended you in any way, please do not take it to heart.”

Seventh Dao Master laughed slightly. He did not open his mouth to say anything. Instead, his voice resonated directly in Qin Yu’s mind, “It is me who should feel apologetic to fellow daoist Luo Guan. However, the altar in the Sea of Confusion concerns a very important matter. Even if I am the Dao Master of this White Jade Capital, I can’t act alone or make decisions alone.”

It was not a very clear explanation, but it was still an explanation nonetheless. This was a good sign. 

Qin Yu replied blandly, “I understand.” However, in actual fact, he was not as calm inside as he was on the surface.

The little blue lamp was secretly examining this White Jade Capital. It was very likely that something unexpected would happen. Furthermore, more importantly, the kind of examination that the little blue lamp was carrying out…it was kind of like ‘roasting sweet potatoes on a powder keg’. If he was not careful, Qin Yu would be blasted apart directly.

There was a miserable wail as the python’s belly was ripped apart by sharp claws. A huge amount of blood gushed out from the horrifying wound and the python’s intestines could clearly be seen. Even though the Oriental Great Bird had gained the upper hand now, it was still not willing to stop. It spread both its wings and countless feathers shot out. Like sharp arrows, they whistled through the air and pierced through the python, nailing it to the ground.

“Hmph!” There was a cold snort, and the s.p.a.ce started to vibrate. All of the feathers that shot towards the python instantly disappeared. In the next moment, the sound of a sword being unsheathed could be heard. Qin Yu raised his hand and then slashed his sword down. Terrifying sword aura surged, slicing through a galaxy in that instant.

The figure that had just appeared looked incensed. It raised its hand and then heavily slammed it down. There was a deafening boom that came with it, and this figure flew outwards, colliding heavily with a few buildings amongst the clouds.

The air went silent!

Countless gazes focused on Qin Yu and the Mountains and Rivers Sword in his hand. There was a heavy expression in their eyes that seemed to say – what a strong sword aura! Furthermore, the most terrifying thing was that there was a layer of flames on the sword’s blade now, and it was Incense Flame. Indeed, this was a strong individual who walked on the path of Incense Great Dao and was very close to igniting his Incense Great Dao. Even if this was White Jade Capital, this individual was still deserving of everyone’s awe and respect.

Expressionless, Qin Yu said in a cold voice, “Dao Master, what’s the meaning of this?”

Seventh Dao Master said, “Fellow daoist Luo Guan, please calm down, this is just an accident.” With a gloomy expression, he added, “Mokona, quickly apologize to fellow daoist Luo Guan. You were out of line just now.”

Whoosh –

A figure flew over and landed in front of Qin Yu. It was precisely that individual who tried to suppress the Oriental Great Bird just now. Though this figure looked perfectly intact, there was a wound between his eyebrows. Red drops of blood continuously flowed out of it. Perhaps because the wound was inflicted by Incense Flame, it was unable to heal even after time had pa.s.sed.

He looked annoyed and angry, but after hearing Seventh Dao Master’s words, his face changed slightly. He took a deep breath and bowed, “Fellow daoist Luo Guan, I apologize for offending you earlier; I hope you will accept my apology.”

Qin Yu looked at him expressionlessly and said, “I can take this instance as a misunderstanding, but if it happens again…my sword is very capable of killing people.”

Mokona gritted his teeth and glanced at Qin Yu, “Dao Master, since I’ve already met fellow daoist Luo Guan personally, I need to report back to my grandmaster. I will not stay any longer, farewell.” He turned around and stepped outwards. The python slithered towards him swiftly and got onto his back, and both of them left.

Seventh Dao Master lifted his head and swept his gaze over his surroundings. He said, “Fellow daoist Luo Guan will be representing the seventh White Jade Capital to enter the altar in the Sea of Confusion. Does anyone have any objections to this?”

Silence.

Seventh Dao Master smiled slightly, “Very good, then this matter has been decided.” A look of satisfaction flashed through his eyes.

Luo Guan was more powerful than he thought. With this person’s help, he would definitely gain a lot in this fight for the Heaven and Earth Origin. Furthermore, it was very likely that that altar was holding many more secrets than White Jade Capital was privy to.

Perhaps this was his chance to reach Enlightenment!
