Chapter 1842 – The Distance of a Step

First Dao Master…no, now it was more accurate to call him the Master of White Jade Capital, the one and only Dao Master. No one would believe it unless they personally witnessed it. The eight other Dao Masters disappeared just like that.

When the nine Dao Masters joined hands, they could bring out an immense power. Previously, they thought it was because of the combination of the nine White Jade Capitals. It was obvious that the truth had only just been revealed – when the nine Dao Masters gathered, that was when they were complete and became the same person.

Now that the nine Dao Masters were one again, they regained the powerful and horrifying energy. They were very very powerful to the point that even the Ruler found it slightly tricky now and had no choice but to act shamelessly.

Boom –

The Master of White Jade Capital stepped out and the air condensed as if it had frozen. A horrifying energy rushed out in all directions as if the world had split apart, and this energy submerged the Ruler.

Previously, when he said that he did not wish to become enemies with the Ruler, it was true. But once he confirmed that there was no chance for them to make peace, First Dao Master did not hesitate as he made a move.

“Die!” As he shouted, thick heavy clouds appeared in the sky. ‘Rumble rumble’. Thunder could be heard rolling in the sky. Glaring lightning flashes shot through the sky and stretched out all around the area. At the same time, the rules in this world began to twist and shatter before they gathered once more.

This Mutant World, hidden deep in Eternal Sea, had turned into First Dao Master’s ground. This was what was scary about worlds. Wherever he went, he could turn the place into his terrain and control it with a thought.

That’s right. First Dao Master was now at the peak of the World realm! The truth was that a long time ago, First Dao Master had already reached this realm. However, he realized that there was no path forwards for him to continue breaking through.

Therefore, the nine White Jade Capitals then appeared, giving rise to nine Dao Masters. It was all to wait for a chance for him to progress another step – the reason was simple. By merging the powers of nine worlds, he would push his body beyond the limit and would naturally give rise to change.

He would violently force a breakthrough!

Since there was no route forwards, he would forge one.

However, the appearance of the Ruler had ruined First Dao Master’s plan and he had no choice to return back to himself earlier.

Now, he was still at the peak World realm, the same as back then. However, the power he has now was still very different from back then – today, First Dao Master was a lot stronger! He had yet to break through the World realm but the power he had was enough to easily kill a fellow World realm cultivator.

At this moment, when First Dao Master attacked, the heaven and earth rules got reshaped and turned this Mutant World in the Eternal Sea into his own terrain. The horrifying energy rushed towards the Ruler!

“You have such a bad temper.” The Ruler frowned and looked impatient. She put her hand forwards and pressed.

As her hand landed, the entire world seemed to momentarily stop. Whether it was First Dao Master or the crazy energy, they both paused in this moment.

The Ruler waved her sleeve and wrapped Qin Yu up. The both of them disappeared. In the next moment, the paused world recovered.

Boom boom boom –

Deafening sounds filled the air!

The entire world was covered in a crazy, horrifying and brutal energy. First Dao Master’s pupils shrank as he looked stunned, “Blazing Sun Owner!”

With a single hand, she was able to seal this entire world and even cause him to momentarily pause. Only someone high up above who represented the heavens would be able to do this. Someone with power and extremely high status – a Blazing Sun Owner.

Because a long time ago, before the First Dao Master decided to split himself, he had experienced it before. However, First Dao Master was also very sure that the Ruler was not a Blazing Sun Owner because she did not have the majestic aura of a Blazing Sun.

Someone who was not an owner of a Blazing Sun yet had the powers of one. A woman with powers comparable!

Deep in First Dao Master’s eyes, there was an intensity. There was another reason why he chose to split his body other than to break through…it was the Ancient Clan! He had witnessed the rise and fall of the Ancient Clan and had arrived at a conclusion – anyone who could threaten the existence of a Blazing Sun Owner would undoubtedly be wiped out.

Hence, First Dao Master split himself up and a.s.similated into the Human Clan and formed the foundations of the Human Clan cultivators.

The truth was that First Dao Master taught his cultivation method to the Human Clan and it then became known as the Human Clan Foundation.

But this was not important. Now what was important was that First Dao Master found the chance that he had been dreaming of – maybe he could break through his current realm.

Kill this woman!

Enter another realm.

Bam –

The s.p.a.ce shattered and First Dao Master disappeared. In the next moment, he appeared above the endless Eternal Sea.

The Ruler looked impatient; she held Qin Yu in one hand and looked over, “Are you sure that you want to fight me?”

First Dao Master stepped forwards, “I would like some pointers!”

“Oh, you are very brave. You dare to covet my realm?” The Ruler raised her brows, “However, your hidden technique was quite impressive. If not, you would have been destroyed with your current realm.”

First Dao Master punched!

She could only stall for time once. It would not work again.

The Ruler pursed her lips and thought about how uninteresting this was. Though the First Dao Master’s cultivation level was just a step away from that of a true Blazing Sun Owner, it was still impossible – they all knew that though it was just one step, that one step spanned a huge distance.

After all, True Kings could teleport wherever they wanted with a thought. What more a Blazing Sun Owner?

She found it troublesome because of her current situation. She could not use too much power because she did not want to be detected and for it to be discovered that she secretly entered this world. The last point was also because the Ruler was worried that she could not hold back and would kill the First Dao Master.

The World Origins had yet to finish absorbing the White Jade Capitals. If the First Dao Master was killed, the White Jade Capitals would crumble and everything would be ruined. Little Qin Yu, this pitiful boy was finally seeing the light. The Ruler did not want to be the one to destroy his hopes.

After all, the little blue lamp was right – this involved life and death!

She could cheat as long as she did it secretly and no one found out. Even if someone found out, she would just not admit it. No one could really force her to admit her wrongs anyway. Very soon, the final examination would arrive. When that came, all eyes would be looking and she would not be able to interfere.

So, this tells us a moral of the story – in small fights, it was possible to go by the side door. But when the real test came, one still had to count on oneself!

Thinking about it, the Ruler made a decision. It was better if she did not do anything. If First Dao Master wanted to fight, then he could just do it. Would he be able to hurt her?

Opening her mouth, she blew a bubble that surrounded herself and Qin Yu. She then dumped Qin Yu to the side and sat down.

She had used quite a bit of energy in this trip. She was feeling tired again and was yawning slightly.

The horrifying energy from the First Dao Master’s punch arrived.

Boom –

The bubble shook!

Mmhm…

Saying that it shook was pus.h.i.+ng it. It was more like the gentle movement of water’s surface when a spring wind blows across it.

It felt very comfortable.

The Ruler sighed and s.h.i.+fted into a more comfortable position. She leaned against Qin Yu and closed her eyes.

As she breathed, her rhythm grew soft.

First Dao Master was silent.

He stared at the Ruler in the bubble and there was shock in his shrunken pupils. With his current cultivation level, he had really entered the peak level. With a single thought, he could destroy and reform all the rules in this world. That was how powerful he was.

But when such a powerful Dao Master like him punched out, he could not even burst a bubble. Especially when he saw that this bubble had been casually spat out of the Ruler’s mouth.

It looked extremely easy, as if she did not need to put in any effort at all.

This was frustrating!

What was even scarier was the deep and intense feeling of helplessness. Was she really an owner of a Blazing Sun? But her power still did not seem like that of a Blazing Sun Owner.

Who is she!

Whooo –

Whooo –

Soft breathing sounds could be heard and it seemed like the Ruler was fast asleep. She turned and nestled her head on Qin Yu. She s.h.i.+fted into a position she was satisfied with. A glistening drop of saliva appeared at the corner of her mouth…she was actually salivating!

First Dao Master looked unsettled. He suddenly took a deep breath and stretched out a finger. He would try one more time. If he still could not break the defenses of the bubble, he would leave immediately.

Puff –

There was a soft sound as numerous tiny cracks appeared on the surface of the bubble. The cracks extended and grew all around. It looked like it was about to pop at any time. First Dao Master’s eyes lit up.

Alas, this bubble was not normal. Though it looked like it had been simply spat out of her mouth, it was actually an incredibly powerful defensive treasure!

He should have known. How could there be such a powerful woman in this world?

One breath.

Two breaths.

Three breaths.

Though the veins rapidly spread all over and the bubble looked like it was about to pop, it resisted and remained strong – it was not going to pop!

First Dao Master’s expression sunk. As he looked at this sight, he found it familiar. A sentence appeared in his mind – “I am stalling for time, don’t you know?”

Boom –

The air around him twisted and broke, collapsing inwards.

First Dao Master was about to disappear.

In the bubble, the Ruler who seemed to be asleep murmured vaguely, “You are not really stupid after all.

“However, since I have made a move, you should just accept the fact that you were tricked. Don’t leave or I will feel like this was meaningless…”

Boom –

An invisible energy spread out all over the place and the entire world fell silent.

Everything, including First Dao Master, was being crushed!

In the Bounded Void s.p.a.ce far away.

A figure appeared in mid-air. Following his arrival, the illusion of the Sea of Confusion automatically appeared too.

Lap lap lap –

It was the sound of seawater. An invisible energy fell above the illusion, wanting to drag him in and get him lost forever.

“Be good. Don’t play.”

The illusion shook his head and let out a breath.

Thereafter, the illusion of the Sea of Confusion that had appeared instantly disappeared like a shattered shadow.

“The fact that you cheated earlier was fine since it was not obvious. But this is too much.” The illusion breathed out lightly and stretched his hand forwards, “So I am going to cheat too. Don’t you think this is fair?”

The illusion turned and faced the empty Bounded Void s.p.a.ce. He turned serious and his entire body felt cautious. It was as if there was someone who would pounce on him from inside the void.

“Hmph!”

There was a cold snort that sounded annoyed.

The illusion merely smiled softly and relaxed slightly, “It is fine as long as you admit it. After all, you were caught by me, and if we fight, no one will get off lightly.” He took a step back and said, “Of course, I will only step in once, and this was a lot smaller than what you did…then I will leave first.”

Woosh –

The illusion disappeared.

As the illusion disappeared, another figure appeared in the Bounded Void s.p.a.ce. The figure was blurred, but it gave a familiar feeling.

If Qin Yu was here, he would recognize the figure in an instant. This was the mysterious Ruler. She looked at the area where the illusion had stretched his hand out and there was a movement in her eyes.

“Hey, this is too much…I merely pointed in the general direction and did not give him the exact directions. If you do anything, I will not hold back.” A slightly impatient voice could be heard.

It was very calm, like friends talking.

However, the Ruler was clear on what kind of person he was…he could give in on some things and take it as if it never happened. For example, her small cheating actions. But there were some things where once they touched his bottom line, he would never give in and would retaliate harshly.

The Ruler was very experienced in this. Otherwise, she would not have behaved like this now. Of course, he was not in a good position and all that was left was a shadow.

“Let’s both take a step back. Before the end is clear, we will not interfere.” The Ruler sneered.

“I have always been doing so.” The impatience was even more apparent; it sounded like he had a huge migraine.

The Ruler turned to leave.

She had never really met the illusion. When one appeared, the other one hid. They only came out when the other one left.

It was like they existed on different planes and had no crossing points…or rather, they were both intentionally avoiding the crossing point. As for the reason, only they knew.

Above the nine White Jade Capitals, in the Great Sun Illusion, the little blue lamp looked serious…or rather, he was imposing.

He looked up at the sky and his body stiffened as if about to meet an enemy.

All of a sudden, the little blue lamp let out a long breath. Thankfully, the worse scenario did not happen. Otherwise it would have been troublesome.

Alas, he would try to scheme less. Especially when the schemes were beyond his control!

“Hmph! Now you know to be scared. Why didn’t you think more before you acted?” An annoyed voice appeared in his head.

The little blue lamp bowed, “Sorry to trouble you, but I had no choice.”

“Stop talking nonsense! This is the last time, I will really not be able to do anything anymore…also, have you guessed something?”

The little blue lamp hesitated slightly and said, “I do not dare to hide from you. I have some guesses, but as for what the truth is…”

“Don’t ask. I won’t tell you anyway!” The Ruler paused before continuing, “Anyway, the results will be out soon.”

“Yes.”

The little blue lamp bowed.

A few moments later, he stood up straight. The aura from just now had disappeared.

The nine World Origins were about to completely absorb the White Jade Capitals. Because the Ruler helped, the plan was going to succeed.

But this was also the last card that Qin Yu had. The Ruler had already clearly stated that she would not be helping anymore. So whatever happened now, Qin Yu and the little blue lamp could only rely on themselves.

Thankfully, after swallowing the nine White Jade Capitals, Qin Yu finally had a chance. If not, then even after getting the Incense Great Dao, he would still be doomed to die.
