Chapter 87: Skyfall: Collection

Draig continued his search while the System was down, this was a golden opportunity to collect as even though the system was down he was certain that these people still held their cla.s.ses and thus in their powerless state they had become ripe for the picking .

'I need to hurry' thought Draig as he still hadn't found anyone, he was unsure of whether his people copies had found anyone yet either but he had high hopes .

It was unfortunate though as Draig would soon find himself met with a terrible foe .

"He he he, I smell the blood of the false prophet" came the deep demonic voice causing Draig's hair to stand on end, he hadn't sensed this being .

"You have been terrorizing my children in this forest and leaving them as dried out corpses, you must have known this would provoke me Feratu . Now I am here, will you leave me in the same state . It is my blood you are seeking isn't it" chuckled the Demon as it revealed itself .

Ancient hate filled eyes looked down upon Draig as this old monster revealed itself, Draig was honestly shocked by this being . The dark energy coming off of it was suffocating as he tried to focus himself but even found that task difficult .

'His energy signature if purer than the Founder's' thought Draig as he grit his teeth .

The demon before him seemed to smile at the lack of reponse .

"You are not the Feratu" stated the Demon after a minute of inspecting the young Vampire in confusion .

This seemed to psych Draig back into action as he remembered he was in fact the Heir of Feratu .

"Of course not, that Old monster is a mere relic of the past . I am the Heir of Feratu" smirked Draig though internally he was thinking of a way to somehow trick this person when he noticed something .

This demon seemed to rather Old, it's body showing signs of death already causing him to smirk . Perhaps it wouldn't be so difficult after all but it wouldn't be wise to take chances .

Draig smiled as he gashed at his own wrists causing blood to begin to take shape as horrible claws at his side . He watched as he combined to of the Branch abilities being the Blood Smith and the Blood Hardening, it was a concept he had thought of to demonstrate the true might of Feratu but it would be now when he tested it .

Draig smiled as he watched the giant claws begin to condense down in reaction to the Blood Hardening ability .

"It is indeed you, I smell the blood of my children mixing with your sickening essence" growled the Demon as it narrowed it's eyes .

Soon the forest fell silent as if it was null of any other existence as the Dark energy of the Demon began to rise in response to Draig's little demonstration .

's.h.i.+t' cursed Draig mentally, thinking he may perhaps need to switch to his previous cla.s.s of Enchanter in order to use his other skills .

Draig however knew he wouldn't have time so instead opted for attacking before the Demon could power up all the way, acting quickly as he disappeared in a whirlwind he appeared before the Ancient Demon ripped upwards with his crimson claws enhanced by the blood Hardening only to find them leave negligible marks causing the Feratu's eyes to widen, but it had done well to distract the Old thing from continuing to power up as it laughed at the futile effort .

"Did you really think that would work" laughed the Ancient demon .

"My skin is not something that can be cut by the likes of Claws" smirked the Old monster as it began to power up again but Draig just looked awed by this facet until he smiled in understanding of the Founder's training .

'He had probably faced many demons like this, so he made me unable to use a sword unless it was specifically blade training . Then if your skin is unable to be cut that doesn't mean your bones cannot be broken' smirked Draig as he pulled his hand back focusing some of his dark energy into the strike .

"You said you can't be cut by the likes of claws, then allow me to try this" stated Draig causing the demon to look down in response to the statement .

"Draig's Bone Shattering Strike" called out the youth as he rocketed his fist forward where upon meeting the Demon's flesh a shockwave was emitted causing the Demon's eyes to widen in pain as his leg was left a mangled mess forcing it to fall to one leg but Draig wasn't done .

He didn't know why this Demon had insisted on powering up when it was obvious that it could have defeated him before hand just based on it's Dark energy but he wouldn't question a chance of luck as he powered another strike with his Dark energy causing him to begin feeling exhaustion, perhaps this was the difference between normal people and monsters .

Monsters didn't feel exhaustion unless their dark energy ran out while humans would find themselves worn out from the simplest of tasks and every action they took but Draig wasn't in the mood to ponder this as his fist began to emit a Dark aura from it from the intensity of the Energy being focused .

"This is an aspect of my training that I should have focused on from the moment I was born" thought Draig as he leaped into the air and brought the fist down leaving a dark stream of Energy behind his strike .

"I think I will call this one: Skyfall" chuckled Draig as he hit the ground smas.h.i.+ng the Demon's head under the force and power of the hit as he turned to look at the Skyfall event which cast a similar look to his attack just now .

Smirking Draig looked at the Putrid black blood that began to leak from the Demon's body that caused his pupils to dilate before he found a ravenous hunger come over him .

Draig was losing himself as he charged at the Demon's corpse and began lapping up the blood like a beast, he wasn't in control at this moment having lost himself to his hunger for some reason but as he lapped up the blood every now and then his body would buckle as a horrible tremor ran through him but he didn't stop drinking the Dark liquid and he didn't even drain the Demon into a husk instead tearing into it's flesh like some kind of animal .

It was odd what was happening but only time would tell if it was just a temporary change or something more .
