Lu Xinyi wasn’t aware that they had an audience who were in shock to see President Shen kissing the handsome guest of Second Master. She was overwhelmed by the intensity of his kiss, that she almost felt her brain short-circuit.

Secretary Chang—who was just behind his Second Master—was so dumbfounded that his hold on the doc.u.ments on his arm loosen, making them fall in the floor.

What the heck?! What was going on?

“W-wha—” His words were caught on his throat that he wasn’t able to utter a single word.

Their foreign clients were also stunned for a moment before shaking their heads in amus.e.m.e.nt.

“Guys, this is a misunderstanding. Let me explain…” Shen Xue stepped in to clear the doubts about his brother, but his father beat him into it as he confronted Shen Yi.

“Yi! What’s the meaning of this?!” Shen Huang roared at his eldest son.

If he was really cheating to their Xin’er, he would not tolerate this absurdity. Here he thought that he wouldn’t have to worry about his son being alone, refusing everyone’s company except his a.s.sistant and his laptop.

He and Matriarch Shen were happy that he found Lu Xinyi. Although their marriage was unexpected, the young woman was able to sneak in and won their hearts overnight. If his son was cheating on her, Shen Huang refused to see his daughter-in-law heartbroken.

Shen Xue put his hand over his mouth to stifle his laughter. He knew he was the root of this misunderstanding, but he couldn’t help but laugh, finding his brother in an awkward position with his Big Sis.

Shen Yi held his wife’s head, tucking her closer to his chest. He looked over his shoulder to see his father fuming in anger. His face was void of any emotion and regarded his father with a slight nod.

“It isn’t what you think it is…”

“Then please do tell what is it, and who’s that man?” Shen Huang wore a puzzled expression.

“Xinxin,” Shen Yi whispered to Lu Xinyi’s ear to get her attention. Lu Xinyi calmed down and snapped back at him.

“What? Are you crazy? What if someone sees us?” She said gritting her teeth in frustration.

“Too late. We’ve been seen.”

“What?” Her eyes widened and weakly pushed her husband’s chest to let her go. Taking a peek behind her husband, she saw her in-laws within the room with some foreign businessmen.

Lu Xinyi groaned and ran her hands on her face. d.a.m.n it! She knew this would happen.

“Yi…” She heard her father-in-law’s voice in a low and dangerous tone. So, they really misunderstood the situation just like what she’d expected.

Lu Xinyi knew then that she needed to clear up the confusion between them, or else her husband’s s.e.xuality would be questioned again.

“Dad?” She called Shen Huang.

The rage in Shen Huang’s face instantly vanished when he heard that familiar voice. He could recognize that voice anywhere!

Shen Yi stepped back and released his wife from his tight hold, revealing her to his father.

“Xin’er? What are you doing here?”

Shen Huang gave her a good look. This young was really his daughter-in-law, but why was she dressed as a man anyway? He watched with his eye as Lu Xinyi removed her ash-blond wig and let her long hair stumble behind her back.

“Sorry for the trouble, Dad. Xue invited me here. I hope I didn’t bring you any inconvenience.”

Secretary Chang thought he had seen it all, but when Chairman Shen talked to the Lu Feiran affectionately, he doubted if he was seeing things. As Lu Xinyi revealed her true face, he was once again stunned into silence.

His younger brother moved and stood beside him, watching their father excitedly introduce Lu Xinyi to their partners. Their partners seemed impressed by what Lu Xinyi had achieved so far, one even offered a scholars.h.i.+p for her to study in the popular gourmet city.

Lu Xinyi declined, saying she wasn’t good enough yet to study abroad and would rather prove herself to her fellow countrymen before seeking another dream after Silver Leaf. Her father-in-law didn’t mind this and translated her answer to the foreign man.

“How does it feel to become a wallflower?” Shen Xue snickered beside the demon. “They totally forgot about you when they meet her.”

“Xue, do you want me to kick your b.u.t.t out of here? I haven’t taught you enough lessons, have I?”

Shen Yi glared on his brother’s way. Shen Xue shut his big mouth at once, afraid that his brother would take back his latest baby in his car collection.

Several minutes pa.s.sed, and Shen Xue couldn’t take his brother sourgraping next to him.

“Okay, I know this is my fault, and yes, it was my idea for Big Sis to crossdress as a man,” Shen Xue admitted.

“You are still an idiot at times, little brother.” Shen Yi spat back, “Have you seen Miss w.a.n.g’s face when she was with Xinxin? That was the face of a woman pining over a man! She was smitten with Xinxin. Have you ever consider her feelings if she found out that her crush is a woman, and you purposely deceive her just to get the contract signed?”

Shen Xue wanted to refute those words, saying that it was for the good of both companies, but he knew his brother was right. He’d played with a woman’s feelings. Remembering w.a.n.g Zhuyi’s face before leaving Shen Group made Shen Xue feel guilty.

He felt like a royal a.s.s for playing with her feelings.

“If you are trying to make me feel guilty, then congratulations, brother. You cannot possibly make me feel worse than I already do.”

“It’s not about me making you feel bad, Xue. Women’s feelings are complex and precious.”

“But I thought Miss w.a.n.g likes you,” Shen Xue said almost in a low whine.

Are you going to take the responsibility if it breaks her heart one day she finds out about Lu Xinyi?” Shen Yi ran his fingers on his hair that was messed up by his wife during their short makeout session.

Lu Xinyi stayed on her husband’s office while Shen Yi was in a meeting with his father and Xue. From time to time, Qiao He left her some sweets and magazines for her to read while killing time waiting for husband to return.

To make sure people wouldn’t talk about her and spread rumors that could hurt her reputation, Shen Yi begrudgingly allowed her to disguise once more as Lu Feiran. Instead of receiving nasty glares as being Shen Yi’s woman, women ogle at her and tried several tricks to meet her in person while the demon king was away.

“Brother Fei, do you need more snacks? I can get you more if you want.” A woman with a curly hair winked at him and seductively pressed her chest to Lu Xinyi’s arm.

Lu Xinyi s.h.i.+vered. She suddenly felt trapped in between these two women and couldn’t find an escape route.

After an hour of waiting, help finally came when Shen Yi came back with his a.s.sistant. They stopped at the door when they saw Lu Xinyi awkwardly laughing as one of the women sat on her lap and start fidgeting her top b.u.t.tons.

Her eyes sought her husband’s screaming for help.

“We didn’t hire you to flirt and seduce our guest, right?” Shen Yi’s cold and pa.s.sive voice filled the room.

The women still in their actions at once, clearly not expecting President Shen to be back so soon. Just as they could kiss Lu Feiran, the demon king decided to show himself.

The woman on Lu Xinyi’s lap fell to the cold floor when she heard Shen Yi’s voice.

“Leave.”

They only need to be told once, and both women ran for their lives. Qiao He shook his head and closed the door, leaving his Boss Yi with Young Madam. Boss Yi might be ready to call it a day. Lu Xinyi ran towards him and wrapped her arms around his waist. Shen Yi stared down on his wife.

“I thought you enjoy women’s company. What changed now?”

Lu Xinyi lifted her head but refused to release him. She scowled once she saw his grinning face.

“One woman is hard enough. I don’t know how those playboys manage their time with more than one.”

“Xinxin, that’s where time management comes into play. Now…” His eyes lidded as he regarded his wife that was trapped in his arms. “Don’t you think you’re off the hook, darling…?” His voice lowered dangerously.

Shen Yi released her at once, but before she could step away from his hold, his hands ran down her chest, surprising his oblivious wife.

“Ah, it’s really flat,” Then, he waggled his eyebrows, “It’s no wonder they thought you were a man with this kind of body.” He then walked past his wife to clean up his desk before leaving the place with her.

“Shen Yi! You b.a.s.t.a.r.d! I’m gonna kill you!”
