Saavi and Joanos both agreed. If any more people rush through that door, they wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight.

"Saavi, you help Joanos, and I'll carry Miss Mikaela..."

Saavi looked at his bloodstained s.h.i.+rt. Noticing the object of her attention, Kaze rea.s.sured her.

"I'm fine, as long as we move fast..."

"Where should we go?" With the war outside, there will hardly be any safe place inside the Udava clan's estate, Saavi thought.

Thinking for a moment, Kaze realize the point Saavi was making. They needed a spot where they can let Miss Mikaela rest and Joanos to heal while they defend it against intruders.

"We'll head back to Mika's designated residence. It's far enough away that the enemy wouldn't have reached there yet. Also, we already laid down enchantments and know the area. It's the best place."

"Okay."

"We are going to need to move fast...Joanos, you need to lead us on the best route back to the house."

"En."

Tying Mika onto his back and picking up his sword, Kaze turned to Saavi and Joanos.

"I'll lead clearing the path, while you two watch our backs. Don't stop for anything, understood?"

"En."

"En."

Opening the door, they were able to witness the cruelty of war, as bodies covered the ground and wails of the injured and clas.h.i.+ng of swords flooded the air.

"Oh my..." Saavi stood frozen in the doorway, shock by the scene in front of her.

"Keep moving!" Kaze shouted when he turned and saw they were still standing in the doorway, while he was already 50 ft ahead of them.

Coming out of his trance first, Joanos pulled Saavi along until she was able to walk on her own. Jogging to keep up with the speed Kaze set for them, they were able to reach Mika's residence under an hour thanks to Joanos' guidance.

Opening the door, they were welcomed to the thick scent of blood and death. Remembering how they left the house, Kaze wasn't surprised, but Joanos was.

"Should we go somewhere else?..." Joanos asked afraid that there might be enemies lurking within.

"No, we killed them all," Kaze said as he placed Mika on her bed.

"Saavi, stay here and protect Mika. I'm going to give the house a walkthrough just to be sure." As Kaze was checking all the rooms and doors, Joanos went in search of medic aids to help close his wounds.

Walking further into the house, Joanos was startled by a particular dead person's face in the hallway.

Wyn's face was forever frozen in a terrifying expression. Joanos had never seen such a look on a person before. Crouching down, Joanos shook his head in disappointment and tried to close his eyelids.

"I kill him." Kaze walked out from the shadows when he saw what Joanos was trying to do.

"I figured as much." Joanos couldn't get the eyelids to stay closed, so he let them be.

"Are you sad?" Kaze expected Joanos to spit on Wyn's body when he saw it, not help send him off peacefully.

"No."

"So, why...?" Kaze didn't understand.

"He's already dead. I'm I suppose to hate a dead body....?" Joanos stood up and gave Kaze and beaming smiled.

Dazed for just a moment before to pushed Joanos against the wall and kissed him hard on the lips.

Stunned, Joanos was utterly unprepared for the a.s.sault of his lips. It wasn't until he was out of breath, and his heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest that he tried pus.h.i.+ng Kaze away.

Kaze finished the kiss and pulled away.

"We'll finish this later." Kaze looked at Joanos' blus.h.i.+ng face, he couldn't help but give a quick peck on his lips before walking away.

"En...wait... What!?" Joanos didn't know what was happening, but before he could question Kaze further, he had already walked away.

Back in Mika's bedroom, Saavi had already changed her clothes and washed her face when Kaze walked in.

"The house is all cleared. We'll rest and take turns guarding the doors. In a little while, I'll go out and check on the battle outside...Hopefully, Lord Tasar's side is winning..."

"If not..." Saavi didn't want to think about the possibility, but it's always good to be prepared.

"If not..."

"...we need to leave immediately" Joanos came in and finished Kaze's sentence.

"En...we will need to leave." The unanswered "How?" was left unspoken.

Taking turns, Kaze and Joanos used Mika's healing pod to treat their injuries. Once done, they cleared the house of all the dead bodies and blood on the floor.

How convenient that Miss Mikaela is asleep during this cleaning process. Kaze took a look at the sleeping beauty on the bed and smirked. How is it he still ended up losing to her?

With the house cleaned and protected by enchantments, Kaze felt it was time for him to check on the situation outside.

"I've already locked all the windows and doors. Don't let anyone in and try to make as little noise as possible. Saavi you take the back door and Joanos you take the front..." Kaze gave a whole bunch of instructions to them before he felt secure enough to leave.

Outside, Kaze quickly ran to where he heard the majority of the fighting taking place.

Inside, Saavi and Joanos both took up their post as they waited for Kaze to bring them back news.

Lord Tasar and his mean were exhausted, they have been fighting for hours now. The gates have been broken, and enemies have trespa.s.sed inside. He heard the screams and cries for help, but he couldn't leave his spot if he did his soldiers would lose their momentum, and the enemy would win.

"Men, do not stop! This is our land and our families if we fall then they fall! Push forward!" Lord Tasar's voice rang into every Udava's soldiers' ears, building up their morale and energy once again.

Having no mercy, Lord Tasar and his men cut down any enemies' soldiers that crossed their path.

Kaze nodded his head if Lord Tasar keeps this up the war will be over soon, and the victory should belong to the Udava clan.

Kaze turned to head back to the residence when an enemy's sword aim his way and just like that Kaze was sucked into the fighting.
