Ailwin chuckle at his miscalculations.

How much have I let that man cloud my life, that I allow a young girl to beat me at my own game?

"Lord Mano, please I meant no harm towards your daughter."

"Yeah, Mano. Why doesn't everyone take a deep breath to relax...?" Tasar never saw his friend like this, but then again it is his youngest daughter, and he did come to pick her up personally.

Mano glance at his friend who was signaling him to calm down before looking back at Ailwin, who was smiling rea.s.suringly in his direction.

"Fine." Taking the seat Mika recently vaccinated, Mano left his daughter no other choice but to take his seat. Which is right next to Ailwin.

"No, Mikaela."

"...Daddy?"

"Bring it here." Mano pointed to the empty s.p.a.ce to the left of him, as Jonas was sitting on his right.

Although Mano did really spend a lot of personal time with Mika, that doesn't mean he doesn't know his daughter well. Between to the trouble she put her mother though and the things he has caught her in, Mano knew that for certain the trip to Ash City wasn't a hundred percent Prince Ailwin fault.

However, he wasn't doing to out his daughter in front of everyone.

I'll just give her a little lesson in lying to me.

"You want me to move it...?" Mika could not believe her father would so petty.

Is he still upset about something with her? But I can't think of anything.

"Yes." Looking at his face, Mika knew that if she fought him on this, he would embarra.s.s her even more. Taking the lost, Mika dragged the chair over to her father's side, loud and unskillfully.

*screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech* *screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech*

The whole situation in the room was tense enough, but with Mika dragging a chair that was almost twice her size, across the hall to sit next to her father made it extremely uncomfortable.

"Daddy, is this better?" Mika huffed out after that embarra.s.sing ordeal.

"En." Mano turned his head away from his daughter's annoyed face and looked at Ailwin once more.

"Fifth Prince, please do explain why my daughter was at Ash City?"

"Um...Lord Mano, I don't know what actually happened between General Gilwenys and Miss Amara, but I'm sure there is a logical reason behind it."

"Then let's bring in General Gilwenys to answer my question, and see if it actually was logical for him to send my daughter into Ash City..."

Ailwin plan at pacifying Lord Mano failed. Apparently, Lord Mano doesn't think much of his princely charms.

Like father, like daughter Ailwin thought.

Lord Tasar had Durlan bring in General Gilwenys into the room. Braeden first thought was the Lords wanted to give him an award for bringing those brats of their home.

However, his thoughts deceived him. When he entered the tense meeting hall, Braeden natural reaction was to look for Ailwin first, upon seeing his friend Braeden notices the sharp warning Ailwin gave him before he looked away.

What is that suppose to mean? Braeden wondered.

Since this was the Udava Clan, Mano has no right to speak first when welcoming a guest into the meeting hall.

So, he had to let Tasar get the pleasantries out of the way first before he could question General Gilwenys.

"General Gilwenys," Lord Tasar drew Braeden's attention towards him. "I would first like to say that we are both thankful..." indicating himself and Mano, "for Prince Ailwin's and your a.s.sistance in bringing the children home."

"Oh...that's was no problem." In Braeden's mind, he could clearly see some awards coming his way.

"Um...yes...but Lord Mano has some questions he would like for you to clear up what happened at Ash City between you and his daughter?"

As Braeden heard the words Ash City, his whole facial expression did a one-eighty.

Ash City! Ash City! Will he ever be able to forget the humiliation at Ash City, if everyone keeps bringing it up!

Braeden subconsciously looked at Mika, as he thought about everything that took place there.

Mano saw the scowl Braeden gave Mika, pegging his curiosity at what took place between his daughter and the General.

"General Gilwenys, can you explain why you sent my daughter into Ash City?"

"Sent your daughter into Ash City...ME!?...I did no such thing!"

"You did tell her to enter Ash City?" Mano looked down at Mika.

"No."

"Yes, you did!" Mika could feel her father's stare drilling a hole through her head.

"No, I didn't!"

"Yes, you did."

"Mikaela, enough!"

"..but daddy..."

Mano gave Mika a harsh stare before continuing on with his questions.

Braeden watched as Lord Mano chastised Mika. Enjoying it immensely, he could help the gloating smile that graced his face as he looked at Mika's agitated expression.

"So, General Gilwenys you never made a bet with Mika about anything?"

The gloating smile froze on his face, before completely disappearing.

Was this all about the bet they made? Braeden turned to look at Ailwin. He thought Ailwin had taken care of the little brat so she won't bring this up again.

"General Gilwenys..." Mano could definitely see that something was wrong when Braeden glanced at Prince Ailwin.

"Did you or did you not bet with my daughter!?" Mano was growing ever frustrated with the lack of answers he was receiving.

"...Yes."

"So, you dare my daughter to go into Ash City..." Mano shook his head.

"No!" Braeden didn't think that everyone thought that was what the bet was about.

"No? But you just said you made the bet!"

"The bet wasn't about her going into Ash City..."

"Then what was the bet about...?"

Braeden held his head in exasperation, I would like to tell you what the bet is about, but your demon of a daughter did something to me to block me from saying anything. And of course, I can't even tell you this!

"General Gilwenys....?"

Everyone in the meeting hall was wanting to see what Braeden would say expect for Mika. She knew how much her Fae dust would and wouldn't let him say.

Right now, General Gilwenys is just a moth to the flame, and the only one he can blame for this is Ailwin.
